Chapter 25: The Princess in the Ivory Tower Suddenly Taking Pity on the Wild Dog by the Road
At the Police Bureau.
Quan Jue sat on the bench with closed eyes.
He had yet to change out of his work clothes, and his shirt was a little ssy. There were traces of blood on his white shirt and black trousers, as well as on his cold and handso face.
He sat there quietly. His aura was so cold that it seed like he had drawn a line between himself and the world, refusing to let anyone near him.
An older policewoman looked at Quan Jue and shook her head helplessly.
She rembered that this young man had just been here last month.
Because the young man was too good-looking, his face was enough to stun the other party at first glance. Therefore, he was unforgettable.
When footsteps were heard behind her, the policewoman turned around and saw her colleague walking over with a man in an impeccable suit and a girl in a pink fur coat.
The girl was wearing a rabbit fur hat on her head and a mask on her face, revealing only a pair of shockingly bright eyes.
“Quan Jue, your family is here to pick you up. The paperwork is done. You can leave now,” the policewoman’s colleague shouted at Quan Jue.
Quan Jue opened his eyes and looked at Chi Mingwei and Chi Jiao.
He didn’t expect Chi Jiao to co as well. A fleeting dark glint flashed past his cold eyes.
Chi Jiao was shocked when she saw the bloodstains on Quan Jue’s body.
The police officer who brought them here had already explained the situation to them.
Quan Jue had gotten into a conflict with a few gangsters at a bar. It was one of him against six of them. He had even used an alcohol bottle to knock out one of the hooligans.
According to the law, the situation at that ti was very unfavorable for Quan Jue, so he was acting in self-defense.
Upon closer inspection, Quan Jue’s face was also injured, and he had split the corner of his lips.
However, he did not mind at all as he still had that cold and distant look on his face.
After leaving the police station, Chi Mingwei couldn’t hold it in anymore. He raised his hand, ready to slap Quan Jue.
When Quan Jue saw Chi Mingwei raising his hand toward him, the corners of his lips curled into a mocking smile. He stood there with no intention to dodge.
Chi Jiao was already prepared for Chi Mingwei. Just as the slap was about to land on Quan Jue’s face, she hurriedly reached out to grab his wrist.
Chi Mingwei and Quan Jue looked at Chi Jiao at the sa ti. One was shocked, while the other was obscure.
“Jiaojiao?” Chi Mingwei looked at her in confusion.
In his eyes, Quan Jue had done sothing wrong and should be taught a lesson.
Fighting and being brought to the police station was utterly shaful to the family.
“Daddy, why don’t you ask Brother Quan why he got into a fight? What if it’s not Brother Quan’s fault?” Chi Jiao looked up at him. Chi Mingwei couldn’t understand the emotions flowing in her clear eyes.
Chi Mingwei was stunned.
He had never thought of this question.
This wasn’t Quan Jue’s first ti at the police station as he had often got into fights outside. Every ti Chi Mingwei ca to pick him up, he never cared about why he got into a conflict with soone. He would always teach him a harsh lesson instead.
Quan Jue stared at Chi Jiao for a mont before suddenly letting out a laugh.

“Brother Quan, tell us quickly. Why did you fight with those people?” Chi Jiao was afraid that her father would insist on hitting him. According to her understanding of the man, Quan Jue would not beg for rcy and would just let her father beat him up.
