Chapter 1073: Are You Willing to Cooperate Now?
Chi Jiao gave up the bed to Quan Jue after the two of them finished breakfast. She then left the ward and went next door after reminding him to rest well.
Jiang Dashan’s ward was next door. Many powerful Espers from 117 were guarding outside in order to protect him.
Zhan Tingting was among them.
The mont she saw Chi Jiao, she smiled and called out, “Boss, you’re awake? Did you get a good rest?”
“I’m fine. I rested very well. It’s been hard on you guys. It’s almost ti for the shift change. You guys should go back and rest after this.” Chi Jiao narrowed her eyes after everyone nodded. “Has Jiang Dashan woken up?”
“He just woke up. Boss, you don’t know how cowardly Jiang Dashan is. He has been screaming in fear ever since he woke up. In the end, we had no choice but to call the doctor over. We had to give him a sedative and let him sleep again. Only then did his state of mind improve,” Zhan Tingting reported in a low voice. She clicked her tongue with disdain.
Zhan Tingting wasn’t gloating over Jiang Dashan’s wretched state. She simply looked down on him.
Jiang Dashan’s attitude towards them was so bad at the beginning. He was so arrogant and refused to cooperate.
In the end, he beca so terrified after just a single attack by that Esper.
Jiang Dashan wouldn’t have suffered such a terrible experience if he had cooperated with them from the beginning.
Chi Jiao just smiled. She agreed with Zhan Tingting and felt that Jiang Dashan had asked for it.
However, she still had to interrogate him. Chi Jiao instructed Zhan Tingting and the rest to guard outside the door before entering.
Lying on the bed, Jiang Dashan looked extrely apprehensive when he heard the door open even in broad daylight. He stared at Chi Jiao in horror as if he had seen a ghost.
“Mr. Jiang, we et again.” Chi Jiao sized him up seriously.
Jiang Dashan’s current state could only be described with one word.
Miserable.
There wasn’t a more accurate description for him. He couldn’t have looked worse. His face was injured and his head was wrapped like a dumpling. He looked like he had aged 10 years in just one night.
Jiang Dashan heaved a sigh of relief when he saw Chi Jiao. His attitude was no longer as arrogant as before. He imdiately sat up straight. “Hello, Miss Chi.”
Jiang Dashan’s voice sounded exceptionally hoarse as if he had not drank water in a long ti.
Chi Jiao approached him and sat down on the chair beside his bed. “Mr. Jiang, there’s no hurry. Have so water. We can talk slowly.”
Only then did Jiang Dashan realize how hoarse his voice was. He picked up the cup of cold water by the table and took a sip to moisten his throat. He coughed twice and said, “Miss Chi Jiao, it was my fault previously. I’ve already realized my mistake. I hope you can help .”
“Are you willing to cooperate now?” Seeing that Jiang Dashan was nodding his head vigorously, Chi Jiao’s lips curled into a faint smile. “Then tell everything you know.”
As Chi Jiao looked on, Jiang Dashan lowered his head and said weakly, “I saw the murderer’s appearance then. He was thin and had an especially big tumor on his back.”
