The sudden explosion of Ikerth’s Palace attracted the attention of more than half the battlefield. It was by far the one singular blast that emitted the most waves of power, so much that even those all the way over at sea felt it.
The pressure of the auras sent chills down their spines, montarily immobilizing every combatant below the Legendary Realm.
The sky darkened with ash and debris, casting a shadow over the once battlefield and from within the clouds of billowing smoke, three streaks of light shot up and dashed into the distance.
Over 90% of the battlefield did not even see these lights, only perceiving that ’sothing’ had passed due to the loud sonic booms and the resultant shockwaves that carved a massive canyon through the battlefield, obliterating everything in their path.
"It has begun..."
Dornik and Terion, one of the few who were able to perceive the true form of the light streaks to be Jamie, Miranda and Ikerth clashing weapons while flying through the air, inwardly questioned when the two Hybrids had appeared on the battlefield.
Even Tasir was montarily confused, but he quickly redirected his focus to the two in front of him, aiming to defeat them quickly so he could go aid his Liege.
◇ ◇ ◇
What Tasir did not know, was that even if he defeated Terion and Dornik that instant and ca over, he would not even have the chance to interfere in the Hypersonic speed battle that was happening.
Jamie and Miranda moved in perfect synchrony, their skills and magic unleashing whirlwinds of destruction.
Jamie’s spatial manipulation twisted the fabric of space and created crushing voids while Miranda’s flas reshaped the landscape wherever they passed, lashing out with powerful attacks that ignored the Fire Resistance of a Fire Dragon like Ikerth.
The three of them carved through mountains as they exchanged hypersonic speed strikes with their weapons.
Ikerth padded his weapons with as much destruction law energy as he could to block Jamie and his Galaxy Sword’s spatial powers from tearing right through them.
At the sa ti, he also needed to watch out for Miranda’s sledgehamr which appeared from the oddest angles.
It was clear that even while fighting him in close range, Jamie was still teleporting Miranda to his blind spots to allow her to get in hits.
Ikerth knew he could not let Miranda get in even a single strike, but that was better said than done.
Just when he crossed his claws in front of his chest to block Jamie’s sword, he sensed spatial fluctuations coming from his left and quickly turned his head, conjuring a Tier 5 Magic circle and unleashing a torrent of spiral flas in that direction.
However, his instincts suddenly scread a warning at him and it was then he realised he had been fooled.
’She’s on my right!’
Faster than he could turn to where Miranda actually was, the woman had already taken a swing with her hamr.
"Titan Blast."
Purple flas swirled around the Hamr’s front as she delivered the attack to Ikerth’s exposed side, sending him flying into the air with unstoppable montum.
The dragon bashed through a nearby mountain and crashed into the large river flowing at the mountain’s foot.
Despite the deluge of water trying to force itself down his nostrils, Ikerth held strong and instantly attempted to escape the river.
There was no way that Jamie and Miranda would not take advantage of the fact that he, a Fire dragon, had fallen into the water.
Unfortunately, he wasn’t fast enough.
"Water Rune Magic: Shredding Cyclone Lance."
Jamie weaved his intricately designed runes and a surge of elental power took shape. Water from the river surged up into the air and swirled to form a crystalline water spear that glistened with an iridescent sheen.
Surrounding the spear was a swirling horizontal tornado speeding at hypersonic speed, crackling with spatial energy that distorted the surrounding air.
Completing it, the lance was encircled by an array of razor-sharp icicles, each one like a glinting blade of ice.
The projectile was unleashed in an instant, streaking through the air with incredible velocity.
Ikerth would have very much liked to do sothing about the projectile hurtling towards him, however, he did not exactly have much leeway with Miranda chasing after him with her sledgehamr.
She twirled the weapon around on her fingers like it was the lightest thing in the world and unleashed lightning-fast swings towards his head.
The water around them evaporated from the heat of her flas and Ikerth spotted a protruding rock, leaping towards it before rousing his magical energy to counterattack.
He deployed an array of five-ringed magic circles around him, however, Miranda smashed through the circles with her purple flas faster than they could activate, before shortening the small distance between them to zero.
She circled around Ikerth and attacked him from behind, forcing him to turn around and raise his claws to block.
Suddenly, Miranda let go of her weapon mid-swing and crouched, pulling back her fist, which was now wreathed in violet flas.
’Explosive Fist. Elental Overture.’
Her punch connected with Ikerth’s torso, creating a massive explosion that sent shockwaves rippling through the air. The force of the impact sent Ikerth flying in the path of Jamie’s attack, his skin sizzling from the intense heat.
The Shredding Cyclone Lance collided with Ikerth, its razor-sharp icicles tore into Ikerth’s body and the combination of water and ice magic intensified the damage.
Miranda’s Explosive Fist had rapidly heated Ikerth’s body and Jamie’s attack rapidly cooled it. This temporarily reduced the man’s durability and Jamie did not hesitate in his follow-up.
"Negative Space Beam Barrage."
Jamie waved his hand, generating multiple tears in the space fabric behind him to form an array of portals, from which countless beams of negative energy were unleashed.
The beams crashed onto Ikerth’s body and caused space to collapse on him, eroding and shattering the illusory draconic scales that appeared over the man’s skin.
However, this barrage wasn’t enough to bring down the resilient dragon.
With a roar that shook the heavens, Ikerth managed to stabilize himself in the air with basic wind magic. His eyes glowed fiercely as he focused his energy, preparing for a counterattack.
"Ruindeum Claws: Inferno Slash!"
His claws ignited in a bright red destructive energy fla as he swiped them through the air. Trails of fire followed his movents, converging into a giant flaming crescent aid at both Jamie and Miranda.
Miranda moved away to dodge while Jamie simply waved his hand and activated his Basic Attack Sequence #3.
"Carve."
**VUP!!
The space in which the crescent flas occupied was carved out along with its contents and consigned to oblivion.
As for Miranda, she swirled her flas around her feet, boosting forth like a rocket as she raised her sledgehamr, the purple flas on its surface burning even brighter than before.
"Fortress Breaker."
The hamrhead glowed with light as it bore down on Ikerth, however, the dragon had no intentions of tanking Miranda’s attack.
Two pairs of red-scaled wings erged from his back and they carried him into the air, out of the hamr’s trajectory, letting it strike empty ground.
A shockwave of energy rippled outward upon impact, shaking the continent’s tectonic plates. The force of the impact pulverized the planet’s crust, creating a massive crater that stretched for kilotres in diater.
The ground fractured and buckled under the pressure, and as the dust settled, a gaping hole remained, one that offered a clear view into the planet’s magma layers.
Despite there being no ’ground’ around her anymore, Miranda didn’t fall to the magma below. She instead regained her balance mid-air and spun around, unleashing a wave of purple flas that shot towards Ikerth.
The flas twisted and turned, taking the form of fiery serpents that sought to engulf the dragon who roared out loud and released his own flas to counter them.
"?!"
Ikerth’s gaze snapped to his left when he sensed a small ripple in space, a re mont before a torrent of pressurized water burst forth and crashed into his face.
The impact knocked him through the air and not even half a second later, Jamie followed up with a Tsunami. The massive wave of water warped from the ocean crashed into Ikerth with trendous force, sweeping him away and inflicting. damage.
But despite his successful attack, Jamie frowned deeply and held out both hands, conjuring a Tier 6 Water Magic circle with his Rune Technique.
The air beca heavy with moisture and the ambient temperature dropped rapidly as a colossal vortex of water ford by drawing in the water from the surrounding environnt.
The vortex expanded rapidly, its size dwarfing even the largest of the nearby mountains. The swirling waters gained montum, spiralling faster and faster, creating a deafening roar that echoed across the battlefield.
"Abyssal Deluge."
Jamie thrust his hands forward and directed the vortex towards Ikerth. The swirling waters, now a massive tidal wave, roared towards the Dragon King with an unstoppable force.
It collided with Ikerth in a cataclysmic impact that crushed everything in its path, sweeping away trees, and boulders and altering the landscape.
The ground shook violently, and the waters surged forward, consuming everything in its wake.
