Vlad’s eyes narrowed as he saw the look of realization in the eyes of the Abyssal demon, but he only showed a cold smile. "Good instincts, but too late!"

The death of thousands of demons to the Corpse Explosion Runes had granted Vlad enough Origin Force to finally break the barrier that kept his body in the Mortal Tier, raising it to the Champion Tier, granting him strength, speed, and vitality that were nothing short of supernatural.

Despite only being a Level 3 Warrior, Vlad’s Level 6 body and Depravita Racial Heritage would allow him to take down weak Champion demons. However, even with all the wounds that Arasbus took, Vlad knew the Abyssal was more powerful than any Champion demon, and he could very well die if he made a mistake, which was why he was not going to fight alone.

Jormungandr had used the Lightning Barrier Spell to cover Vlad’s body with a protective barrier of electrified energy before activating his Shadow Cloak Rune and hiding on the young man’s back, waiting for the right ti, which was now!

The small yellow cat glanced straight into the eyes of the Abyssal demon before opening his mouth and unleashing the spell he had been silently charging.

"Lightning Blast!" A small orb of explosive lightning energy gathered in the mouth of the small yellow cat. It was a simple yet powerful and extrely fast spell, capable of incredible damage.

Arasbus’s eyes widened as he saw that orb of lightning. While small, the amount of energy in the spell was nothing short of monstrous, and if it were to land directly on his face from such a close distance, he might very well die!

Any other Champion demon would have been dood, unable to react to the impressive ploy of the young man and the small cat, but Arasbus was an Abyssal, the ruling class of demonkind, bred for death and the battlefield!

Right before the small orb of lightning could land, Arasbus opened his mouth and unleashed a blast of fire in all directions.

"BOOM!"

The flas clashed with the lightning spell, making it explode before it could land on the Abyssal’s face and kill him. Of course, that did not an Arasbus ca away unscathed, as there was still an explosion of lightning and fire that occurred less than fifteen centiters from his face.

The explosion blinded the Abyssal demon for a mont and left his face bloody and mangled, generating excruciating pain. Yet he could not afford to lose focus since he was far from safe. He clenched his teeth and ignored the pain before waving his spiked club toward the young man.

Of course, such a hasty attack would not land, and Arasbus knew that, but he expected to push the young man away or at least protect his head and chest.

It would be a lie if Vlad said he was not impressed by the Abyssal’s reaction speed, not only countering the Lightning Blast at the last second but sending an attack that stopped him from targeting the neck or heart.

Vlad was not going to pull back, so he pushed his body down in order to dodge the spiked club as he flashed forward, diminishing the distance between the two. Arasbus was over four ters high, so it was hard to aim for the head from a crouching position, but he would still do a lot of damage.

"Single Cut Slash!" With a single shout of rage and killing intent, Vlad concentrated his Force in his arms and sword and slashed at the Abyssal demon’s stomach with all his strength.

Arasbus had just regained his sight when he felt a horrible pain as a sharp object coursed through his abdon, and the next second, he felt how his intestines were lacerated. It was by far the worst wound the demon had received in his entire life, and even with his massive vitality, it was not sothing he could endure without severe repercussions.

"AHHHHHH!" The Abyssal unleashed a roar of rage and pain as he focused on the young man and bashed his massive club down with imnse strength.

Vlad’s eyes widened as he saw the imnse strength the Abyssal could charge into the spiked club even with his intestines destroyed. He imdiately pulled back just in ti to see the weapon crashing into the ground, making a hole in the earth.

"Impressive!" The young human could not help but be in awe of the Abyssal’s resilience and endurance.

Arasbus held his guts inside his abdon with one hand while using the other to raise his spiked club, and not even for a second did the fighting spirit and killing intent in his eyes weaken. No matter the injury or how horrible the situation was, the Abyssal would not falter and would fight until the last second.

As he saw the determination and fighting spirit in the eyes of the Abyssal, Vlad could not help but feel respect for the demon. Of course, that did not an his killing intent weakened in the slightest.

If anything, the fighting will in the Abyssal only made Vlad’s killing intent grow even stronger, but he would not taunt the demon and would finish this with everything he had! "Jormungandr, focus all your energy on the Lightning Barrier."

Jormungandr was surprised by those words. With the wounds of the Abyssal, the safest path was to turn this into a battle of attrition. However, upon seeing the determination and coldness in Vlad’s eyes, he nodded and channeled all his energy into the spell, enhancing the power of the barrier of electrified energy.

The Depravita and Abyssal looked at each other, the intent behind their eyes clear, as they prepared to finish this battle in the next minute, with one of them rising as the victor and the other perishing in this blazing battlefield.

"AHHHHHHH!"

"AHHHHHHH!"

Vlad and Arasbus roared with all their strength, fighting spirit, killing intent, and hatred as they flashed toward each other for the final clash.
