Between Heaven and Earth, I Alone Am The One Squished Between Softies Chapter 20: Shibuya

(Kiryu’s POV)

"What the fuck do you an?!" I shouted, "What do you an Satoru has been sealed?!"

I was sitting on a chair, inside my estate. I had received word of Shibuya being attacked by Curses and Curse Users. Shibuya was not that far away from but I didn’t think I was needed for anything tonight. I had received word via phone call that Satoru had been sealed; the cell phone was on the table next to .

"That’s what the reports say." I heard a Jujutsu High Official’s voice say through the phone, "Currently, the Jujutsu High’s Sorcerers are engaged in combat against the Special Grade Disaster Curses and other Curse Users."

I stood up and threw my glass of water against the wall, "Fuck!!!" I shouted in anger, "That stupid fuck!! What the hell happened?!"

"The situation is currently unknown, aside from that fact." The official told , "I am not aware of any other details."

"Kiryu." I heard a voice call out

I turned around to see Shoko walking out of the shadows of the room we were in. She was wearing nothing but a single loose shirt. I had been interrupted from proceeding with my night with Ieiri when I received the call.

"Shoko," I said

"I heard...." She said

I sighed, "I guess there’s no other choice...." I said seriously as I grabbed the phone, "Put through with i i, she’s on the field."

"Communications with the inside of Shibuya has been cut off, unfortunately." the official said

"Son of a fucking bitch." I growled before hanging up, "What the actual fuck is happening?!"

"Kiryu, please calm down." Shoko said, "Just take a deep breath, we need to learn the details."

I heard my phone ring again, I looked at it.

"Well...I’ll be damned...." I said looking at the caller ID, "She hasn’t called in such a long ti....."

I answered and put it on speaker.

"Kiryu." I heard Yuki’s voice on the speaker, "Have you heard?"

"Yeah." I seriously said, "More importantly, where have you been?"

"Busy." She said, "Now’s not the ti for questions like that, babe. I need you."

"Need ?" I asked

"Get your fucking pants on right now and head to Shibuya, Kiryu," Yuki told ,

"We’re stopping whatever they got going on."

"Tch...." I said, "Whatever they had planned, they made sure I was nowhere near this place, huh?"

I looked at the sight in front of , there was nothing but destruction everywhere. It was like soone or sothing shredded through the entire city, I couldn’t explain it.

"This Cursed Energy...." I said opening my hand, "This feels like...Sukuna....and...."

I took a step and felt a presence to my left.

I turned to see what seed like a Curse crawling towards . It seed like it was wounded for so reason. It had the appearance of a humanoid rat or dog, I don’t know.

"Hm..." I said as the Curse reached

"Gahhhh...." It said as it opened its mouth and let out a wretched stench, "P-Pain...I’m in pa-"

"Shut up," I said as I snapped my fingers

Suddenly, it exploded into blood and guts.

I turned around and kept walking towards where I felt multiple Cursed Energies clashing. There must be so sort of fight going on.

"I must be late..." I said as I looked up at the night sky, "Can’t be helped....whatever went down, I missed it...."

I then felt an imnse heat behind .

"Huh?" I said as I turned around, "The Curse?"

No. It was sothing else.

I covered my eyes to see a massive explosion of flas as I heard a loud bellow, one of pain.

"Agh!!!!" I heard from the flas

"The hell?" I said as the flas subsided and I saw a figure erge

It looked humanoid but was covered in flas and its body was completely scorched. It looked like it was in pain. It had a singular eye that was bloodshot as it glared at .

"You...." It growled, "You..."

I frowned, "?" I said, "What the fuck are you?"

"I made a Binding Vow at the last second!" It said, "I didn’t think it would result in this!! My entire body is burning!!! It hurts!! It fucking hurts!!! Damn that Sukuna!!! Aghhh!!!"

I wondered what he ant by that. I know this was a Curse and its cursed energy was rising exponentially. Was this one of the Disaster Curses, I had never seen one of them up close. I an, there was that Tree one that Satoru scared away back during the Exchange event.

A Binding Vow? Sukuna? What the hell?

Fuck all this!!!" It growled as it waved its arms out

The ground beneath him burst into flas as a massive wall of fire appeared behind him.

"Oh?" I said as I summoned my katana, "Hostile?"

"I don’t have much ti. I have to kill you!!" It yelled

"You are one of the Disasters, huh?" I said, "I don’t know what your deal is, buddy, but you’re not getting out of this alive."

"I’m already dead!!!" It shouted as he waved his hands at

I saw as he shot out a massive beam of flas from his hands straight at .

"Hm." I said as I swung my blade, "What’s this?"

"Red Blade: Parting Ways"

The beam of flas was split in two as the Curse widened its eye, "W-What?" He said, "That’s Satoru Gojo’s technique!!"

I sighed, "Nah." I said as I appeared behind him in an instant, "It’s mine."

It tried to turn around but I swung my blade down vertically at it, enhancing it with cursed energy.

The mont my blade cut straight through its flesh, an explosion of black light imploded its whole body and caused an intense shockwave.

"Black Flash!!!"

"GAhhhhhh!!!!" It yelled in pain as it buckled down on its knees, "What the fuck?!"

I then sheathed my blade as I saw its molten body crumbling down. His body was sturdy, taking my Black Flash and not completely succumbing to its damage. Its binding vow must’ve been strong; exchanging an extra shot at life and a strong body for its immunity to its flas. Those flas were damaging it as well, I could tell.

"Sukuna, huh?" I said as I pointed my hand at him, "Should’ve just stayed dead."

"Y-You’re....." It started, "Gojo Kir-"

In an instant, his entire body exploded with a flash of red light. I had used Red to destroy him completely.

"Punk ass Curse..." I muttered as I turned around and walked away,

"Pains in my ass, the lot of them."

"Oi Kusakabe!!" I yelled at the Grade 1 Sorcerer as he was dodging falling debris, "Get yer ass here!!"

He looked at and widened his eyes, "K-Kiryu-san!!" He said

Next to him was Panda, one of Satoru’s students. He followed Kusakabe as he ran towards .

They had avoided massive debris from a building that a horde of Cursed Spirits had destroyed.

Panda had his eyes widened in surprise to see , "That’s Kiryu-dono!" He exclaid

I narrowed my eyes at Kusakabe, "Tell what the hell is going on..." I said

Kusakabe rubbed his hair, "Shibuya has gone to shit, that’s what!" He said as he held his katana, "Sukuna did most of this!!"

I looked around to see the hellscape that was left by the King of Curses.

"Did he, now?" I said, "And he’s not fully resurrected...."

Satoru and I had the last two fingers hidden, there’s no way he’d be at full power.

"What do we do, Kiryu-san?" Kusakabe said

"Where’s Sukuna?" I asked, "With Satoru sealed, I’m the only one that can handle him."

"Yuji is back in control." Panda said, "He was fighting the patchface curse, last I heard. Him and Todo."

Todo is here too, huh? If the majority of Uta’s kids are here as well, she won’t like it one bit.

I heard loud screeching behind . I turned to see a horde of Cursed Spirits stampeding towards us.

"Shit!" Kusakabe said, "There’s no end!!"

I frowned, "That’s an unusual amount of Curses....almost like...." I said before widening my eyes, "It can’t be...."

"What?" Kusakabe said

I summoned my katana, "Go to Itadori Yuji, capture him." I said, "Make sure Sukuna isn’t released again."

"B-But!" Panda said

"Go." I said firmly, "I’ll join back with you later. Yuki should join you as well."

I unsheathed my blade and began to release my Cursed Energy, preparing a stance.

"Shit, whatever you say," Kusakabe said

They both then left imdiately as the Curses reached . There was nothing but a stench of blood and rotting flesh as loud screeching filled the air.

I swung my sword at them, releasing my Cursed Technique.

"Calamity Blade: Exorcism"

In an instant, a massive chunk of the horde was destroyed, exploding in blood and guts as the others rely stumbled.

After a second, the other Curses froze imdiately and stared at . There were a lot of them, all of them either Grade 1 or 2, I suppose. At that mont, I noticed a shift in their behavior. When they first stampeded towards , I felt that they were in a frenzy, targeting the nearest source of Cursed Energy.

Now, they stopped. After seeing the majority of their group instantly exorcised, they realized one thing probably; A step closer ans death.

They began to shiver in fear, taking careful steps back as they looked at . They felt it, the true danger of facing while my Cursed Technique was active. An instinctual Fear of .

I raised my eyebrows, "Not so brave, huh?" I said as I raised my arm and pointed a finger gun at them, "Stupid things."

"Calamity Gun"

They were all obliterated imdiately, leaving nothing but drops of blood.

As this happened, I felt an odd Cursed Energy sowhere in Shibuya. It felt familiar, oddly familiar.

I narrowed my eyes and turned around,

"How is this possible? Suguru Geto....."
