Kelly’s POV
Luck ca to when I was struggling to survive in a foreign country. I’d say the Heavens was with all the ti, guiding throughout my journey on a rough road. My life as a mother has beco more complicated and hard, but for my little angel, I didn’t give up.
Five long years had passed. My life is now finally okay. I have a stable job. Thanks to Martha’s daughter who recomnded to her boss. Now, it’s been 2 years since I started working in an Event Organizing Company under the Event Operations Departnt. I am now a hospitality coordinator.
“Congratulations, Elle. You deserve the position.”
I smiled at my colleagues who believed in . Our team is full of positive people, cheering for each other’s success. I’m happy that I t these people. Although rumors cannot really be avoided, I’m still thankful that I get this high all by myself.
Our company expanded branches and now, together with so in our team, I’m being transferred to our new branch—in my ho country.
Going back won’t be easy for especially after everything that happened, but this was my original plan—to go back when I’m ready. Now, I’m ready and I will not run away again.
“Miss Dee, co to my office.” It’s our boss. A man 6 years older than . He’s very serious and cold. He never smiles and he’s the reason why the other departnts seed to hate . They thought I’m sleeping with our boss.
Honestly, I started as a janitress in this company. The boss of the HR Departnt must’ve seen my performance and recomnded for a promotion. After 8 months of working as a janitress, I was appointed as the assistant of the Event Director. And just now, I was surprised by our very own President of the company, appointing as a Hospitality Coordinator in the new branch.
I’m so blessed and I know I deserve this.
“I really think Mr. Walter likes you,” Mary, Martha’s daughter whispered to . She’s one of the employees that was being transferred like . She’s an event coordinator.
I pinched her side and she just smirked at .
“Shut up, Mary!”
I watched Miss Dee, our team leader, follow Mr. Walter.
“You’re single, right? Why don’t you ask him out?”
I glared at Mary and she just giggled before she walked away from . I honestly don’t know why she keeps on pushing to date Mr. Walter. Yes, we’re both single. But I don’t think I’m capable of dating again especially when there’s a man reigning in my heart all these years. I still haven’t forgotten him, but I know that he might be married by now. So there’s no chance left for us.
When I got ho, I heard my little angel’s soft voice.
“The princess t the prince.”
I heard Martha laugh. “Our baby is so bright! You already know the story, huh?”
I rested my arm against the wall as I spoke. “I’m so tired. I think I need my vitamins.”
“Mommy!”
She ran to and I imdiately carried her in my arms. She started showering kisses all over my face as I laughed and accepted her love.
“How’s my pumpkin?”
She smiled sweetly and innocently. “I cut ten hearts, mommy.”
“Really?”
She excitedly nodded and asked to go down. When I put her down, she imdiately ran to the coffee table and carried the box with ten pieces of cut-out hearts.
When she got distracted by her toys, I sat on the couch, watching her. anwhile, Martha sat beside .
“Did you accept the position that your boss was giving you?”
I nodded at her. “Yes. Besides, I think it’s ti for to go back.”
Delight was in her eyes as she nodded and smiled. “I will always be here to support you, Elle. I’m glad you finally found forgiveness in your heart.”
She didn’t know my story. But she concluded that I ran away from the father of my child, typical of the dramas she’s always watching.
I’ve seen and experienced the worst, so I prepared myself to face the pain and horror when I co back. I know what to do. And I definitely know who my enemies are. Although I’ve been away for five years,there are so things I know that happened all these years.
Klay has beco more powerful and strong because he actually married Emily. He’s now managing my father’s group of companies and also managing almost all of the family business of Emily’s family. While Pierce, he’s doing very well as the President of ADE. However, his personal life is strictly private. So I’m not sure if he’s really married to Lexi.
The nostalgic feeling of coming back to my ho country is undeniable. As soon as I got off the plane, carrying Snow, who’s sleeping in my arms, I felt my heart racing. I missed this country and all the good mories I had here.
“Elle, do you know the address of the company dorm?” Mary asked as she followed . It’s just the two of us today. The other mbers of our team will co the day after tomorrow since we’ll start next week.
I handed her the piece of paper where Miss Dee wrote the address. I’m thankful that the location of the new branch of our company is far from the places where I might run into Pierce and his family. And to think that Klay is also back in this country, I need to be extra careful.
While Mary was calling for a taxi, I road my eyes around my heart skipped a beat after seeing a familiar man walking out of the airport.
My eyes widened as I turned my back because of the realization. Was he on the sa flight as I was?

I imdiately got in the taxi that Mary called before I looked back, watching Pierce’s father entering his car with so bodyguards around him.
He didn’t see , right? I hope so.
“Elle!”
“Huh?”
Mary frowned beside . “I said we can dine in a restaurant for lunch.”
I shrugged my shoulders. “I’ll just order so food since I need to unpack and Yuki is still asleep.”
Snow’s na remained Yuki but they already know she’s actually nad Snow. I had to reveal it since I already taught Snow how to write her na and she can write it now. However, the last na we’re using was my grandma’s last na.
When we reached the company dorm, I imdiately put Snow on the bed. The unit is good for one person and it’s enough for and Snow. However, I need to find soone trustworthy to look after Snow while I’m working.
My phone beeps while I was unpacking clothes and Snow’s playing on the bed. I thought it was just Martha but the ssage was from an unknown number and it says... ‘I think you’re ready for revenge. Want so help?’
