Kelly’s POV
I opened my eyes slowly and the first thing I saw was Pierce’s brown eyes looking at with love and admiration. The gentleness in his eyes always makes my heart race. The soft expression on his face that always makes weak.
“I was too rough last night. I’m sorry,” he whispered while staring at my face.
I faced him and put my pressed palms between my cheek and the pillow. “Thank you.”
He smiled and gently caressed my shoulders. “Feeling better?”
I nodded and bit my bottom lip. “Those guys...last night...”
“I already reported them. They’re at the precinct now and I’ll make sure they’ll be punished.”
“I think soone else was involved. The drug was from the party.”
His jaws clenched. “Just as I thought. Don’t worry. Whoever is behind this, I’ll make sure they’ll be punished too.”
I squeezed my eyes closed. I felt his fingers gently caressing my arm and it went to my cheek, gently brushing his fingers on my skin.
“I called Ana. Snow is still asleep. So you should sleep more since it’s still early.”
I looked into his eyes again. “Do you think I’m doing the right thing? Do you think my choice was right?”
“You’re doing this for Snow. There’s no right or wrong choice. All you have to do is ready yourself for whatever the consequences will be. Be it positive or negative, you have to deal with it bravely and boldly.”
I smiled at him. “Do you trust that much?”
His eyes softened. “I trust you too much.”
I took a deep breath and moved closer to him. I squeezed myself in his chest as I closed my eyes again.
Under the white sheets, we’re both naked but I don’t mind. I want to hug him and feel his arms around . After the stressful days, I think I deserve to rest and this is my rest.
I felt him kissing my hair. “What do you want for breakfast? I’ll call for room service.”
“Let’s sleep more and just go drive thru later.”
I fell asleep again and when I opened my eyes for the second ti today, I saw Pierce sitting on the bed. I’m facing his back and he’s talking to soone over the phone.
“Yes, I will drive her ho today.” His voice sounded so happy and energetic.
I slowly pulled myself to sit while still watching him.
“No, we’re not, sweetheart. Your mommy hasn’t made her boyfriend yet.”
He’s talking to Snow. I bit my bottom lip and that’s when he felt my stares and he looked at .
“Hmm! You wanna talk to mommy? Alright!”
I shot an eyebrow up when Pierce handed his phone. He tilted his head and smiled. “She wants to talk to you.”
I accepted the phone while looking into Pierce’s eyes.
“Hello, sweetie?”
[Mommy! Good morning!]
“Good morning. Have you eaten?”
[Yes, mommy. I ate pancakes. You’re with daddy Pierce, right?]
I glanced at Pierce. He’s now preparing the food I saw on the coffee table.
“Yes, I’m with him.” Pierce glanced at because of that.
[Please, tell him to co here. I miss him, mommy.]
“Hmm. Okay.”
It’s not like I don’t have a choice. But I agreed because I want them to spend ti together.
After Snow ended the call, I got off the bed and wore my dress again. I walked towards Pierce, barefooted, and sat on the couch beside him.
He handed a plate with food. “What did she say?”
“She told to tell you to visit her.”
Pierce smiled sweetly but he beca serious again. “I’d love to but is that okay? I an the issue about us is...”
“It doesn’t affect now, Pierce. As long as Snow is safe.”
He nodded. “Then, I’ll visit her later.”
“After our breakfast, drop off at the event venue last night. I need to get my car.”
“No need.” He sipped on his water. “I had soone take it to the basent parking last night.”
I smiled. “Thanks. We can convoy later or you can go first.”
“Let’s go ho together.”
I smiled again and nodded.
Just as we talked about, we convoyed until we reached the condominium tower. His car was just following . We parked in the basent parking lot. He even waited for before we proceeded to the elevator together.
We’re almost in the elevator when I noticed soone through the side mirror of the car we walked past.
I stopped in front of the elevator and looked at Pierce who’s waiting for to co in.
“Go ahead. I left sothing in my car.”
His forehead creased. “I’ll go with you.”
“It’s okay.” I smiled and shook my head.
He stared at for a few seconds before he nodded. After the elevator door slid closed, I turned my back and walked towards the direction where I saw him.
He’s smirking evilly while I’m walking towards him with a blank face.
“You do realize that you’re wanted and I can easily turn you into the police, right?”
He chuckled and lifted his arm, showing the screen of his phone.
“If you can sacrifice little Anderson to put behind bars, then fine, report .”
My lips parted as I sucked my breath. I stared at the screen of his phone where I could see Phoebe sitting in her class.
“I have eyes everywhere, Kelly. I figured you’re not scared of because I can never hurt you. You secure your daughter so much that I can’t even talk to her now. But you forgot that you have a lot of people you care about. I’d hurt them one by one if you continue resisting .”
I slowly shook my head. “You’re insane!”
He smirked. “Insanely in love with you, babe.”
I was unable to move away when he suddenly pulled closer and kissed my lips.
I punched his chest but he didn’t budge. He smirked again after he pulled away. He even licked his lips while looking at with one eyebrow shot up.
“Still tastes so fcking the sa. You better not kiss Pierce Anderson’s lips, Kelly. You are forbidden to love soone else. You are my property.”
My heart is beating so fast as my hands tremble when he starts walking away. He rode a motorcycle, leaving weak and frustrated.
God! Can’t this just stop? Why won’t this freaking ss stop?
