"Sawyer, what are you waiting for? Hurry...hurry, try it while it’s warm," Abigail urged him, eager to see his reaction.

The first ti she cooked for him, she saw him enjoy her homade spaghetti, and he praised her cooking. Now, it is the second ti, and she hoped he would like this simple noodle soup, one of her favorites.

Sawyer felt conflicted about trying the spicy noodle soup. However, his hesitation slowly faded when he saw the excitent in Abigail’s eyes as she looked at him.

Even though he knew he would struggle with the spiciness, he remained calm while holding the spoon and fork. He took a small taste of the soup, and the warm, savory, slightly spicy flavor instantly delighted him. His eyes widened in surprise as he looked at her.

’Huh!? I can sll the strong aroma of chilies. Still, how could it not be as spicy as I thought? Even after she added a few fresh chilies!’ he wondered while eating the white noodles and beef.

The taste was light and delicious. Sawyer took a few more spoons before pausing to sip on the glass of water Abigail had just placed before him.

"This is very delicious, Abby! What kind of noodles did you use? I think I’ve seen it once, but I forgot its na. And what’s the na of this dish?" Sawyer asked, genuinely curious. He loved noodles, especially Japanese styles, but he had never eaten anything like this. He has seen it once in a magazine.

The noodle dish felt light and refreshing, perfect for the chilly weather outside. Although there were sliced chilies, they didn’t overpower the dish; instead, they provided a comforting warmth.

"It’s Pho rice noodles, this dish from Vietnam, but what you eat now is the instant version. If we have more ti and fresh ingredients, I can cook you the real one. And it will be even more delicious than this. Or we can eat it in a Vietnase restaurant. I know a good one in town," Abigail explained.

"Wow! We should visit that Vietnase restaurant if we return to the capital." He continued to finish the noodles and forgot about the spicy, which started making him sweat.

"Sure. By the way, why do you seem surprised with the noodles? I found this in your..." Abigail’s sentence trailed off as she realized sothing: Sawyer hadn’t prepared everything he brought himself. But soone else had done it for him.

A faint smile appeared on her lips as she began to eat her noodle soup. The warmth of the dish cleared her mind, and she felt as if her energy had been fully charged.

"Abby, what’s with that smile?" Sawyer asked, noticing her suspicious smile, which made him feel uneasy.

"I think you didn’t buy and prepare all the food you brought here. Am I right?" Abigail asked casually while smiling.

Sawyer was taken aback by her question. ’How did she know? Damn! Must be my stupid question about the noodle!’ he was inwardly shocked about his stupid question but remained silent, pretending he didn’t know what happened.

"You don’t even know what noodles I cook. So obviously, you didn’t prepare the food box..." she continued. A smile appeared on her lips as she observed Sawyer’s awkwardness.

"Wow! I can not stop eating this noodle! Can I finish this noodle before we continue talking?" Sawyer asked politely, trying to distract her and hoping she would forget her question by the ti he was done eating.

The truth was, Sawyer didn’t know what was inside the box; he had simply asked the chef at his ho to prepare various ingredients this morning, and he hadn’t had ti to check what was in the box when he picked her up from the café.

"Ah, sorry. Hurry and finish your noodles first..." Abigail said, feeling guilty for talking too much. She decided to stay quiet and also focused on finishing her noodles.

After a few minutes, they both finally finished their breakfast.

Sawyer suggested they take a walk outside to see the river. Abigail gladly accepted, but just before she wanted to step out the door, Sawyer stopped her.

"Abby, the temperature is still freezing outside. You need to wear your coat."

"I didn’t bring one. You didn’t tell this place would be freezing cold." Abigail replied with a sigh.

"I put a brand new coat and hoodie in your closet upstairs. Did you see it?" he asked.

Abigail was surprised to learn that the coat and hoodie were for her, not soone else. Gradually, warmth spread through her heart, and she knew that Sawyer had prepared sothing special for her.

"Oh. Yeah. I thought it was soone else’s belongings. That’s why I was afraid to touch it," Abigail admitted.

"No, I have prepared those wardrobes for you," Sawyer assured her.

"Ah, okay. I will take the coat then..." Abigail returned to her room upstairs and grabbed the navy blue long coat.

When she put it on and looked in the mirror at her reflection, she was amazed at how well the coat fit her.

"How did he know my size?" she feels amused, looking at her wide smile. "You look pretty, Abby..."

She returned to the first floor after ensuring she looked perfect in the coat.

"Are you ready?" Sawyer asked, unable to hide his happiness. Look how beautiful she was wearing the coat he chose for her.

Not wanting to make her nervous, Sawyer turned his gaze to the door and opened it as he said, "Let’s go..."

"Hmm, let’s go..." Abigail replied, following him outside. However, she felt her face heat up when she saw he was wearing the jacket she had worn the night before.

"You look beautiful in that coat, Abby. I’m glad it fits you," he casually praised her as they walked side by side along the stone path leading to the river, just a few ters from the cabin.

Sunlight filtered through the trees lining the path, enveloping them in a warm morning glow, and the birds chirped in the distance enough to make the ambiance feel heavenly.

"How did you know my size?" Abigail asked, glancing at him with curiosity.

"When I visited the store, I pointed out a girl who looked similar to your size as she passed by. The clerk could guess your size from that," Sawyer replied nonchalantly.

He couldn’t reveal that nearly everything about him had co from Ethan’s investigation, and he also didn’t understand how Ethan could find such detailed information.

But for the coat she is wearing now, Sawyer only called soone to send it to his house. He decided against buying a coat from a well-known brand, worried she might recognize the price. Instead, he ordered a custom-made coat; fortunately, the brand his people had prepared fit to her size.
