"Wow! There’s no need to rush, Abigail. We still have a few minutes before Mr. Andy Bennet arrives."

Ryland smiled while casually crossing his legs and leaning back against the sofa. He wanted to discuss her situation after she left the apartnt.

He tried to call her several tis, but she blocked his number; she completely severed ties with him. This made him feel worried and angry at the sa ti.

"Abigail, where are you living now? Why not stay at my apartnt? I’ve ntioned that you can stay there until you save enough money to buy your place, right?"

Abigail was left speechless by his words. She couldn’t believe she had ever fallen in love with such a shaless man.

’Did he use black magic to blind to his true intentions?’ Abigail wondered, trying hard to suppress her emotions.

Her emotionless gaze locked onto his. She couldn’t bear to stay any longer and listen to his nonsense.

"I will give you three seconds. If you don’t show the agreent, I will leave, and you won’t have another chance to ask ." Her icy tone does not seem enough to make this shaless man believe.

Ryland chuckled softly, "Oh co on, Abigail, I’m sorry for what I did to you, but—" His words trailed off as he was shocked to see her stand up from her seat.

"Wait, Abigail. Okay, here’s the agreent," Ryland said quickly as he pulled out a docunt folder and handed it to her.

"Please check the contents of the agreent. I’ve already signed the docunt," he added, relieved as he saw Abigail take the folder and settle back into her seat across from him.

Abigail took the folder and imdiately checked the agreent to ensure everything she requested was included. The most important thing was that there were no hidden traps.

After reading the agreent for a few seconds, Abigail sighed in relief. She closed the folder and placed the docunt into her backpack.

Her business with Ryland was finished, and she felt no need to talk to him anymore. Ignoring him, she scrolled through Instagram to check out so entertaining reels.

Although Abigail could feel Ryland’s sharp gaze on her, she continued to ignore him. She saw no point in listening to his ramblings, as she considered him non-existent in her heart and mind.

"Abigail, I hope you remain professional when you et Mr. Andy Bennet later. Please don’t mix our personal matters with this project," Ryland said again.

When Ryland did not receive a response from Abigail, he added, "I have kept my promise to you, Abigail, and I hope you will fulfill yours as well."

"Don’t worry. I’m not soone who breaks promises or betrays others, Mr. Wood. That’s not who I am," Abigail replied, her expression unchanged.

"Thank you, Abigail," Ryland said with a sincere smile.

However, Abigail didn’t look at him again; she returned to her phone and ignored him. When Ryland ntioned that Mr. Andy Bennet had arrived and was waiting for them at the restaurant, she finally saw him.

As they made their way to the Sushi Tei restaurant on the first floor, Abigail remained silent, her lips pressed tightly together and her expression as hard as rock.

It was only when they entered the VIP room that her expression softened. There, she noticed a man with gold-frad glasses and dark-brown slicked-back hair sitting facing the door. His smile widened as he spotted them.

This is the second ti Abigail has t directly with Andy Bennet, the CEO of Silverstone Group and a prominent figure in the nation.

Over the last five years, Silverstone Group has risen to beco the leading enterprise in the country, leaving the Jones Group in second place.

Despite news reports describing him as extraordinarily wealthy and arrogant, the reality is quite different. He is willing to collaborate with smaller companies like Urbangrid Innovation to build his cabin and treats them kindly.

"Mr. Wood, Ms. Snow, I apologize for keeping you both waiting. I rarely have a problem with tardiness," Andy Bennet said as he stood up from his seat and extended his hand for a handshake.

"Oh, not at all, Mr. Bennet. No trouble at all. We have just arrived too, sir..." Ryland said, overly excited, accepting Andy Bennet’s handshake.

Abigail accepted Andy Bennet’s handshake politely, choosing not to say anything. She didn’t want to lie like Ryland. Just arrived? She rembered they had waited for almost ten minutes.

"Alright, let’s sit down and enjoy our drinks," Andy Bennet said while signaling the waiter to bring them so warm tea. "Do you all want to order sothing to eat? Sushi? Or wanna try their soba noodles?"

Ryland was about to say "Yes," but he paused when Abigail spoke.

"You are so kind, Mr. Bennet, but no thank you. I don’t have much ti. I still have another eting after this one," Abigail replied honestly.

She couldn’t stay here eating with soone like Ryland; she might lose her temper with him. That wouldn’t be good—Andy Bennet could cancel the project if he saw her using violence against Ryland now.

There’s a disappointed flash in Andy Bennett’s eyes. However, he quickly adjusted his expression and said, "Ms. Snow, I’m so sorry to ask you to co to this eting even though you no longer work for Urbangrid."

Andy Bennet genuinely liked the house design that Abigail had created; he didn’t want her to be replaced in the project. Even though he knew she no longer worked there, he wanted her to make the adjustnts he needed for his cabin.

His regretful tone softened Abigail’s heart, and she smiled back at him.

"Mr. Bennet, I’m the one who needs to apologize to you. My personal matters caused to leave the company; I’m really sorry..." Abigail said politely.

Ryland, sitting beside Abigail, was shocked and terrified. He feared that Abigail would reveal the truth to Andy Bennet. His heart tightened as he clenched his hands tightly, waiting anxiously for Abigail to continue.
