"Where’s Grandpa?" Serena asked.
Lucas adjusted his shocked expression and nodded slightly. "Your Grandpa and Grandma are already waiting for you. Please, Miss... Young Master Harvey..."
’Grandma?’ Serena’s expression slowly stiffened upon hearing that. She had ford an alliance with Harvey, which caused her to forget about tonight’s dinner party, which was ant to introduce her grandpa’s new wife to the family.
Harvey Jones, who had just heard Lucas’s words, was stunned. He knew Jas Philips had never been married, so why did he suddenly have a wife?
He could sense Serena’s irritation and anxiety as he glanced at her, walking tensely beside him. He took her hand, hoping to help her relax and calm down as they entered the living room.
The closer they got to the living room, the more tense Serena felt. She worried her new grandmother might make her grandfather dislike her and her family.
’What if that woman caused your grandpa to change his will?’ Her father’s words echoed in her mind. When they learned Grandpa had a new wife, they were concerned.
However, whenever they requested to et her, Grandpa always declined and simply ntioned that there would be a party on New Year’s Eve.
’Rena, I believe that woman only pursued your Grandpa’s wealth.’ Her mother’s words only added to her worries.
As Jas Philips’s only family mbers, Serena and her father were part of his legacy. If he passed away soday, they would inherit his fortune. But now that won have entered their lives, they feel suspicious and anxious.

Jas Philips’s voice trailed off when he noticed the man beside Serena. Rising from his chair, he examined the man more closely and was stunned to realize he was none other than Harvey Jones.
’Is the man she ntioned Harvey? Oh my! What is she thinking?’ Jas muttered, feeling worried and confused about Serena’s choice. He still rembered that he had told her not to pursue a relationship with Harvey, and he couldn’t help but be concerned.
"Grandpa, do you rember that I wanted to introduce my fiancé to you?" Serena asked, smiling as she saw her grandfather nod, though he looked a bit confused. She continued, "That man is Brother Harvey."
Serena stood before her grandfather, beaming as she pulled Harvey beside her. "Harvey, please greet Grandpa."
"Rena, you..." Jas still couldn’t believe what he had just heard. He shifted his gaze back to Harvey. "Are you two really in a relationship? Don’t joke with , Harvey, Rena..." he warned them.
Jas Philips knew that Serena genuinely loved Sawyer and wanted to marry him. Still, he couldn’t force Sawyer to accept her, especially since Sawyer was already in a relationship with Abigail.
However, now, Serena had co to introduce her fiancé, Harvey Jones. He understood what Serena was trying to do; she wanted to make Sawyer jealous by showing off her relationship with his brother. If that were really her intention, he would be angry.
"Grandpa Philips, I’m so happy to see you again," Harvey said, extending his hand for a handshake. Nodding with a smile, he added, "We’re not trying to joke around, Grandpa. We are both serious about this relationship. We really an it."
Jas narrowed his eyes, still suspicious of Harvey and Serena. He tried to discern their true intentions through their expressions.
"A few days ago, I proposed to Serena, and we plan to get married early next year." Harvey continued calmly. However, Jas felt his breath shorten as he realized these two were genuinely serious about getting married.
As Jas tried to calm himself and catch his breath, he heard Sophie’s voice from behind him, saying, "Jas, don’t be angry, my dear—"
Suddenly, the anger that had enveloped his heart because it seed Serena and Harvey had intentionally gotten engaged slowly faded away. He turned his head back and saw his wife’s calming smile. A small smile appeared on his lips as if he understood what Sophie was thinking.
His expression was less annoyed than before when Jas shifted his gaze back to Serena and Harvey. He cleared his throat loudly before saying, "You both sit down first. We’ll talk about your engagent later, Rena." Before settling next to Sophie, he gestured for them to sit across from him.
He held Sophie’s hand while keeping his eyes fixed on his granddaughter, Serena. Noticing how curious Serena looked, he smiled and said, "Rena, this is your grandma; her na is Sophie Lewis."
He then turned his attention back to Sophie and said gently, "Sophie, this girl is my granddaughter; her na is Serena Philips."
Serena’s heart raced when she saw how beautiful the woman was, despite the visible signs of age in her hair and the few wrinkles on her forehead and around her eyes.
As Serena observed Sophie more closely, she was startled to realize that the woman unmistakably resembled soone she had seen before. However, when she tried to recall who it was, her mory failed her; she couldn’t rember.
With a smile, she stood up again and approached Sophie. "Grandma Sophie, it’s nice to et you finally," Serena said politely, though her tension was evident in her stiff tone.
Sophie smiled back at Serena, standing up to take her outstretched hand.
"You really are beautiful, Serena... just like Jas said." She praised Serena genuinely before giving her a warm embrace. "It’s a pleasure to et you, Serena... and congratulations on your engagent, dear."
Serena was pleasantly surprised by the warmth of Sophie’s greeting. Sophie’s genuine smile made her montarily forget her suspicions about this woman.
"Grandma, thank you. Let introduce you to my fiancé, Harvey Jones," Serena said, releasing her hug and gesturing for Harvey to shake Sophie’s hand.
"It’s a pleasure to et you, Grandma Sophie," Harvey said with a smile as they shook hands.
Upon hearing the man’s full na, Sophie felt a wave of shock and imdiately thought.
’Wait, Jones? Is he related to the sa Jones as Sawyer Jones?’ she wondered, searching Harvey’s face for any resemblance to Sawyer, but she hardly found any. ’Ah, Jones’s nas are quite common. Maybe they’re not from the sa family—’
