Hannah shook her head in annoyance. Still, she couldn’t help but laugh, amused as she looked at her son, who was jealous of his mother.

"Sawyer, my son, why are you jealous of your mother? Oh dear, you should drop that sulky expression. You’d look less handso if you kept frowning like that." Hannah smiled as she patted her handso son.

Sawyer, "..."

Abigail and Walter can’t help but laugh.

Hannah tilted her head to look at Abigail behind Sawyer. She smiled at her and waved, "Hello, daughter-in-law. Let’s sit. I need to introduce you to Sawyer’s sister," she said excitedly, but Abigail felt her heart tighten.

’Angela Jones!?’ Abigail whispered, glancing at the stunning woman with long, dark brown hair cascading down her back. She wore a black, knee-length cocktail dress in the seating area, gazing in her direction.

Abigail’s hand gripped Sawyer’s tighter; she felt too anxious to et his sister. She knew how Angela and Harvey Jones had threatened him in the past.

Sensing his wife’s nervousness, Sawyer softly called her na to get her attention, "Abby..."

Sawyer’s voice made her look up at him. A soothing smile appeared on Sawyer’s lips, calming her down.

"My sister Angela is not as bad as Harvey. You don’t need to worry about eting her." Sawyer squeezed Abigail’s hand gently and followed his parents to the seating area.

After hearing Sawyer’s words, Abigail felt more at ease. However, Angela’s piercing gaze, assessing her from head to toe, made her heart race once again.

’Damn it! Calm down, Abby. Why are you worried about her? You shouldn’t. As long as Sawyer and his elders bless your wedding, you’ll be fine!’ Abigail vented her frustration internally, trying to maintain her smile even though it felt difficult.

Before Sawyer and Hannah introduced Abigail to Angela, she asked: "Little bro, this woman...?" Her eyes were still fixed on Abigail.

Sothing about Abigail’s gaze made Angela feel less suspicious. This girl’s eyes appeared friendly and devoid of malicious intent.

"Sister, let introduce you. This is my wife, Abigail Lewis," Sawyer said casually, smiling at Abigail before adding, "Abby, this is Angela Jones, my sister."

"Oh my goodness! Sa-Sawyer, you’re married..." Angela couldn’t hide her surprise; her eyes widened slightly as she stepped closer to Abigail and extended her hand for a friendly handshake.

"Hello, Abigail. Let introduce myself. I’m Angela. It’s nice to et you finally," she said politely, smiling as Abigail accepted her handshake.

Initially, Angela assud this woman was just a close friend of Sawyer’s, which raised her suspicions. However, her negative perception diminished after she learned that she was Sawyer’s wife and saw her friendly, harmless deanor.

"Hello, Sis Angela. Nice to et you..." Abigail smiled. Hearing Angela’s friendly greeting, her heart was less tense than before. What Sawyer had said earlier was true; this woman was not as evil as she had imagined.

Not long after, they all sat down in the living room.

Hannah got her wish to have Abigail sit beside her. In contrast, Sawyer had to sit across from his wife, unable to touch her. To make matters worse, he sat beside his unfriendly and straightforward stepsister, Angela.

And Sawyer started to regret sitting next to Angela. She began asking nurous questions that he couldn’t avoid answering.

Angela leaned closer to Sawyer. "Hey, little brother, why didn’t I get your wedding invitation? How could you? Did you forget to send it, or do you hate so much you do not want to invite ?" she protested in a low tone, loud enough for Sawyer to hear her sulky words.

Sawyer frowned at her. "Sorry, sis. My wedding with Abby was intentionally kept secret. We didn’t want any attention, so we married in private, with very few people knowing," he explained.

"Still, how could you not invite ? That is cruel," Angela found it hard to believe that no family was present at his wedding. "Sawyer, I admit I’m not a good sister, so it was my fault we’re not close. Still, we’re family."

Angela took a deep breath, trying to mask her annoyance upon realizing that Sawyer hadn’t invited her to his wedding. However, her irritation faded a mont later when a thought crossed her mind: ’I can’t be the only one left off the guest list, right?’

A faint smile crossed her lips as she watched her father talking to Allen. Then she glanced at Hannah.

’It’s impossible that Sawyer didn’t invite her mother, right?’ Angela thought before glancing at Sawyer again. "You didn’t invite Daddy either, right? What about Grandpa and Grandma?"

"They all attended my private wedding," Sawyer replied calmly.

Sawyer’s answer struck Angela to her heart, and her expression grew more annoyed as she heard it. Before she could respond, Sawyer’s following sentence made her jump in surprise.

"You also ca to my wedding, sister, even though it was already over when you arrived..." Sawyer chuckled.

"WHAT!" Angela couldn’t contain her shocked scream, which caused Abigail and the others to turn and look at her. She smiled at them and gestured for them to disregard her before turning to her brother with a sharp glare.

"Sawyer, please don’t tell you got married the day I ca to your house." Hearing her own words made her shudder. How could he not even ntion it to her?

"Hmm, right. When you arrived, the guests were still having lunch in the back garden," Sawyer answered calmly, but Angela wanted to smack her brother on the head.

’Gosh! Sawyer Jones, how could you not invite when our families were there?’ She was speechless and frustrated. What made her even more upset was that Andy Bennet was present at his wedding.

"Wait, are you really that close to Andy Bennet that you invited him to your wedding?" Angela swallowed, moistening her suddenly dry throat at the thought of Andy Bennet.

The mory from a few days ago, when Andy Bennet unexpectedly invited her to dinner, surfaced in her mind. At that mont, she was confused about why that busy man suddenly wanted to et with her. However, she later discovered that he wanted to apologize for pressuring her not to use Serena Philips as their brand ambassador.

"Andy? He is one of my best friends—"

Angela felt her heart swell with emotion. Now she understood why Andy had personally apologized to her.

Sawyer frowned as he watched Angela blush. "Sister, do you like Andy Bennet?"

Angela, "..."
