"Milan, there’s sothing I want to tell you..."

Abigail could no longer keep her marriage a secret. It was ti to tell Milan the good news.

"Boss, what is it? Please don’t make nervous," Milan asked anxiously.

Abigail raised her hand to reveal her wedding ring. "I’m married..."

Milan gasped in surprise, interrupting her. "Married? Oh my god! Seriously, Boss?" A wide smile spread across her face, and tears welled in her eyes when she saw a diamond ring on Abigail’s finger.

She was happy to hear such good news, but Milan’s smile faded as a troubling thought crossed her mind.

"Boss, wait... wait... You said you’re married," she paused, waiting for Abigail to confirm. When Abigail nodded, Milan continued, "Please tell you’re not married to that scum, Ryland Wood!"

Milan felt confused; Abigail had just called off her engagent with Ryland a few months ago, and now she was saying she was married.

Instead of answering, Abigail burst out laughing at Milan’s words. How could she possibly return to Ryland after everything that had happened?

"Boss? Why are you laughing? Is it true?" Milan asked, feeling even more confused and anxious.

"Milan, that man is not the only one on this earth. Why would I consider going back to him? Even... the thought of returning to that jerk disgusts ," Abigail said, shaking her head as she felt a shiver run down her spine.

Milan stroked her chest, feeling relieved Abigail didn’t return to scum Ryland Wood.

"Thank goodness! Boss, you almost gave a heart attack. By the way, who is the lucky guy who won your heart? Have I t him before?" Milan asked excitedly, her eyes shining with curiosity. She was eager to know about her Boss’s husband.

Abigail chuckled, finding Milan’s enthusiasm amusing. "No, Milan. You don’t know him. He ca into my life right after I broke up with Ryland. I’ll introduce you to him if he cos to the office."

She smiled, thinking that Sawyer frequently visited the building but mostly stayed on the fifth floor, which they considered their love nest.

Milan clapped her hands happily. "Once again, congratulations, Boss! I’m genuinely happy for you."

"Thank you, Milan. You no longer have to worry about Ryland Wood causing trouble for the company. I have soone who will handle that scum if he shows up here again."

Abigail could guess that her husband was already aware of the situation with Ryland trying to enter her office.

"I’m glad to hear that, boss," Milan replied, no longer feeling anxious. She believed that Abigail’s husband would protect them and the company.

"Alright, I need to focus on my work now. If soone tries to et , please don’t bother ; I must finish my design project before lunch..." Abigail gestured for Milan to leave her alone.

"Yes, boss," Milan responded.

Abigail stood up and settled in her office desk.

She has many pending tasks after taking an extended break for her wedding and honeymoon. Those tasks were already piling up, waiting for her to settle it.

After finishing a few pending tasks, she opened her work email, which surprised her even more: She had so many new projects.

Abigail was excited because her company was growing so fast. She was imrsed in her work for a few more hours without realizing that lunchti had passed.

When a knock on the door echoes, she is stunned.

Stretching her hands up, she stood up from her seat and was surprised to see the clock now almost one o’clock in the afternoon. She realized she had been working for a long ti.

Abigail tidied her shirt collar and then tied back her long hair.

"Yes, co in..." Abigail said; just before she finished tying her hair, the door swung open, and she was taken aback when the door opened.

She saw Milan in poor condition; she looked pale and appeared anxious. What shocked her even more was the man standing behind Milan, waving and smiling at her.

"Andy Bennet!? What are you doing here?" Abigail asked, clearly confused. She didn’t rember having an appointnt with him today.

This man seed to be avoiding her. The last ti they spoke was at her wedding, and after that day, he never contacted her again about their project. Several tis, she even thought Andy hadn’t contacted her because Sawyer had forbidden him.

’Did he call ?’ Abigail glanced at her cell phone on the table and scolded herself internally when she realized she had put her phone on silent.

"Hi, Abigail." Andy smiled at her before continuing, "Sorry, I stopped by without telling you..."

Milan was still shocked to see Andy Bennet in their office. She hurried into the room and approached Abigail.

She leaned closer and whispered to Abigail, "Boss, I know Mr. Andy Bennet, our client. But how could he co in without an appointnt? I’m shocked he suddenly appeared on this floor and insisted on eting you, even after I told him you were busy."

Abigail said nothing but smiled at Milan, finding her nervousness amusing.

"Boss, I can’t believe the guard let him in! You should scold Vincent and the other staff. How could they allow him to co without an appointnt?" Milan added, almost making Abigail laugh.

How could Vincent have stopped Andy Bennet? Everyone knew who he was, and no one dared to stop him. Only Sawyer had that authority.

"Milan, it’s fine. You can return to your desk. I will call you if I need anything," Abigail said, patting Milan’s shoulder with a smile directed at Andy. She gestured for him to take a seat on the couch.

Before Abigail could join Andy, sothing suddenly crossed Milan’s mind.

She grabbed Abigail’s hand, leaned closer, and whispered, "Boss... Is Mr. Andy Bennet your husband?"

"W-What—" Abigail almost choked in shock at Milan’s words. "Gosh! He isn’t my husband. Alright, Milan, you need to get back to work now..."

Abigail walked to the door and closed it before she joined Andy in the seating area.
