As the door closed behind him, Sorayah’s smile faded just slightly. She turned back to llisa, her gaze calm, yet unreadable.

"What’s wrong?" llisa asked, raising a brow as a mocking grin curled on her lips. "Are you here to apologize now that I’m almost due and ready to rule the harem again? Are you shaking in your shoes now as you can’t stop imagining the kind of tortures that awaits you. "

A wicked laugh escaped her throat before she continued, "I’m sorry, Sorayah, but it’s far too late for that. I’m afraid your life is about to beco a living hell the mont I give birth to my prince. And don’t get your hopes up....no matter how much you sche, you won’t be able to lay a finger on him."

’We’ve finally gotten to this scene llisa. Just keep committing your cris,’ Sorayah thought silently, a smirk now playing on her lips. ’I’ll be right here, waiting for you. I wonder if you truly believe everyone around you is a fool. Even if the others are blind, Dimitri and I are not. Now I’m just curious how you intend to birth a child from a fake pregnancy. But then again, this is you, llisa. You’ll probably steal soone else’s baby and claim it as your own. That baby will be your undoing... the very shovel you used to dig your own grave’

"What’s with that smirk on your face?" llisa snapped, her eyes narrowing. "Don’t tell you’re about to boast again that you’ve got the Alpha Emperor’s and Empress Dowager favor and that’s why you’re not afraid."

She leaned forward slightly, her voice laced with venom. "Well, I want you to rember sothing, dear Sorayah. Think carefully about how many tis those two can save soone. If soone is fated to die in this harem... they will."

"I only ca to wish you a safe journey, Your Highness," Sorayah replied sweetly, her tone warm and unshaken. A gentle smile returned to her lips, masking the fire in her eyes. "While you’re gone, I’ll make sure the harem remains in perfect order, so you won’t have to worry about a single thing. I don’t know whether you’ll be giving birth at the Praying Grounds or elsewhere, but either way, I pray the Moon Goddess protects you... and the little prince you claim to be carrying."

"Oh, I see...And yeah have a great day" llisa muttered, her voice thick with contempt. She scoffed aloud before storming out of the chamber, her robe trailing behind her in a swirl of royal defiance.

Outside the imperial palace...

llisa stepped into the golden carriage, her every move watched by the maids and guards assigned to escort her. As she settled onto the velvet seat, her body froze.

Soone else was inside.

Her breath hitched, but she didn’t speak imdiately. She sat down slowly, cautiously, her fingers curling around the edge of her gown as the carriage began to move. The rhythmic sound of hooves and wheels echoed outside while her mind raced.

"What are you doing here, Draven?" llisa finally whispered, her voice tight with restrained fury. Though barely audible, it quivered with anger and panic. "Have you completely lost your mind? Do you want to get us both killed?"

Her eyes blazed as she continued, "Hiding in the Empress Luna’s carriage is punishable by death! I told you clearly in the letters that I don’t want to see you again until it’s ti."

"But I wanted to see you," Draven said softly, his voice barely louder than a whisper. His eyes remained fixed on her, intense and unblinking. "I’ve missed you terribly. Don’t you miss at all? Not even a single bit?

"I don’t," llisa replied curtly, folding her arms tightly across her chest. Her voice wavered slightly, betraying the turmoil she tried to suppress. "And you shouldn’t be here. You’re risking everything."

"Well, I’m here now." Draven’s tone was calm but resolute. "Since you couldn’t co to , I ca to you."

Without warning, he reached down and lifted both of llisa’s legs onto his lap. Her eyes widened in shock, and she imdiately tried to pull them away, but his grip tightened.

"I know you rember what we had," he murmured, voice deepening. "I’m the first man who touched you....every inch of you. I was the first to taste your breathless moans and make you fall apart in my arms. Tell , has Lupien ever made you feel that way?"

"Stop it, Draven," llisa snapped, though her voice quivered....part warning, part plea. His hands lingered on her legs, his fingers trailing heat through the fabric of her gown. The soft, deliberate movent ignited mories she’d buried.

"You really have a death wish," she added, more to herself than to him. "Fucking the whole empress Luna...you’re really brave."

Draven leaned in, his breath brushing over her skin. "The empress Luna had always be even mine and yeah did Dimitri touch you too? He’s the new Alpha Emperor, after all."

llisa stiffened. "I’m pregnant," she said, her voice sharp. "I’m carrying Lupien’s child. Dimitri would never... not while I carry another man’s heir."

Draven’s expression shifted....sothing unreadable flickered in his eyes. "Is that so?" he asked, lifting a brow. His hand moved toward her stomach, but she was quick to intercept, slapping it away with sudden force.

"You don’t touch there," she hissed. "This baby belongs to Lupien."

’This fool won’t leave alone, llisa thought bitterly, biting down on her lip. She hated the effect he had on her.. ...the way her body responded despite the danger, despite her fury.

"Are you seriously carrying Lupien child or mine? You don’t need to lie to ." Draven raised an eyebrow.

"Of course it’s his," she said aloud, forcing her voice to steady. "Just because you and I shared a few reckless nights doesn’t an you left sothing behind."

"We’ll see once you give birth," Draven said with a shrug, raking a hand through his hair as if trying to ta his frustration. "Maybe the baby will have my eyes... or my smirk. I can only believe whose baby you’re carrying after they’re given birth."

He leaned closer, his tone dipping into sothing darker. "But enough of that. I miss you, llisa. We could have a mont....just one. Sothing to remind us of what we shared."

"In here? Are you mad?" llisa’s voice dropped to a hiss. "This is the imperial carriage. Guards are trailing us, and I’m nearly due. I could go into labor at any mont!"

"Then we wait," Draven said, exhaling slowly. "After you give birth, I’ll be waiting. I don’t care how long it takes. You’ll co back to ."

He studied her for a mont, then added, "Since when do you care so much about praying though? You’re headed to the Praying . Tell the truth.....what’s this really about?"

llisa narrowed her eyes. "Ignore what doesn’t concern you. What are you doing here, Draven? You’re a court official now. You should be in session."

"I was given a task by Dimitri to investigate unrest in a few outlying villages," he said, his voice dipping with bitterness. "That bastard doesn’t trust , and he’s right not to."

"Well, know this," llisa said slowly, her gaze hardening. "Every move we make is being watched. One mistake and it’s over for both of us. If you care about your life, or mine, you’ll stop chasing ghosts."

Draven leaned back but didn’t take his eyes off her. "And if you ever need ?" he asked softly.

"I’ll co," she said. "When I need you."

There was a long pause.

"Then... am I really not going to touch you again?" Draven asked, his voice carrying a quiet ache. "Not even once? I miss your pink enclave."

llisa swallowed hard. The tension hung thick in the carriage. She refused to look at him as mories, desires, and regrets churned inside her.

"Even if I wanted to," she murmured, "this carriage would betray us. It would shake, the guards would notice. You forget how rough you are during sex, Draven."

"Then order the carriage to stop and I’ll also be gentle," he said with a half-smile. "That’s all it takes."

Before she could protest, he moved closer....his presence overwhelming. Her body ached with confusion, her mind screaming at her to stay in control.

"Drop the carriage speed," llisa called out suddenly, her voice calm but sharp. "I need to rest. The journey is making sick."

"Are you alright, Your Highness?" Nyla, her handmaiden, asked from outside.

"I’m fine. Just... keep your eyes forward. No one is to look inside. We’ll resu the journey soon the mont I’ve relaxed for a bit."

"Yes, Your Highness."

Inside the carriage, silence fell. Tension pulsed in the air as llisa sss now on all fours all while Draven has began to fuck her from behind, his hand covering her hand to prevent her loud moans.

llisa should have turned away from Draven, every nerve alight. She hated him for being here. Hated herself more for not pushing him out.

But most of all... she feared how deeply she still wanted him.
