Chapter 42
“It seems like the cafe is not the place for you.”
Yi Zeyang had a cold and solemn expression on his face as he pulled her up before leading her out of the cafe forcibly.
“Yi Zeyang! Let go of !” Gu Anhao exclaid as she started panicking. “Let go of now! Let go of . I am not going anywhere with you!”
As the both of them were about to walk out of the cafe, the waitress quickly ran after them as she hurriedly said, “Sir! I have the ice cubes and towel that you asked for!”
Yi Zeyang paused for a mont before he took the bag of ice cubes and the towel from the waitress before he dragged Gu Anhao out of the café.
Half a minute later, Yi Zeyang pushed Gu Anhao into the car. Even though the car seat was made of soft leather, Gu Anhao was hurt because of the force he exerted. Therefore, she started panicking a little. “Yi Ze…”
However, Yi Zeyang had already closed the car door behind her before she could even complete her sentence. After that, he walked over to the other side of the car as he got into the driver’s seat. The heavy rain continued falling and the both of them could hear the muffled sounds of the rain from inside the car.
Gu Anhao took a deep breath and straightened her body as she tried to open the car door. Yi Zeyang opened his mouth and said, “Why are you still trying to hide from ?”
Gu Anhao’s body stiffened upon hearing his words. “Your roommate told that you ca down with a high fever just a few days ago because of the rain. I can already guess why you don’t want to see right now. I can also tolerate your attitude until you are in a better mood because I am worried about your condition and your health. I will not force you to talk about anything else with but you have to tell what happened to your face. Tell who hit you?”
Gu Anhao slowly retracted her hand and she felt as though she was losing control of herself.
She quietly leaned against the car seat as she continued staring at the heavy rain outside the car window.
Gu Anhao could suddenly feel a cold tingling sensation on her face and she subconsciously tried to move away but Yi Zeyang quickly stopped her. Yi Zeyang wrapped so ice in the towel, and he placed it against her cheek. Gu Anhao suddenly recalled the tis where Yi Zeyang would help her to clean up, and take care of all her wounds and injuries whenever she got injured when she was younger. If her injuries were much more serious, then he would always take her to the hospital without saying anything at all.
Soone once said that sotis, it was difficult for soone to break down no matter how much a person was hurting inside. However, if soone who cared about that person was there to comfort them, then the pain would sohow amplify and tears would start falling unwittingly.
This was exactly what Gu Anhao was feeling right now. She had been trying to hold back her tears and she had been desperately enduring the pain. However, she could not stop her tears from falling down.
She quickly raised her hand to push him away. “No need to ice my face. I am fine. I will be fine in two days’ ti.”
Yi Zeyang gently pushed her hand away as he continued comforting her, putting the ice wrapped in the towel on her red and swollen face.
Gu Anhao turned and looked at Yi Zeyang, and she saw that his brows were knitted together. He was obviously feeling very upset and distressed because of her.
“I don’t think that you got into a fight with your classmates because I don’t believe that anyone would dare to hit you like this. Moreover, with your bad temper, the other party would have already been completely crushed before they could get their hands on you,” Yi Zeyang said “So, did the Gu family do this to you?”
Gu Anhao did not reply. She simply raised her hand and took the towel from him before she said, “I can do it myself.”
Yi Zeyang could tell that she was deliberately keeping her distance from him.
However, he could not bear to reprimand or accuse her of anything because of the state that she was already in. Therefore, he retracted his hand before he started the car. “Since your face is already so swollen, it is not convenient for you to go back to school now. I will bring you to the hospital first so that the doctor can take a look at your injury, okay?”
“No.” Anhao replied as she placed the ice pack against her cheek. The cold and stinging sensation was the only thing that was keeping her thoughts rational at this ti.
After that, she looked out the window before she said, “You can just drop off at the intersection up front.”
Yi Zeyang looked at the traffic light that was about one hundred ters away and his heart sank imdiately. “The intersection up front? That is a street filled with bars. What do you want to do there?”
What was she planning to do?
Anhao was already feeling very down. She put down the towel as she looked at Yi Zeyang.
“You were the one who dragged into the cafe in the first place! And you were also the one who dragged into your car! I never asked you to drive anywhere. Since you insisted on being a good person, then you should just send to a bar! All I want to do right now is to drink. Why are you trying to control ? Who do you think you are?” Yi Zeyang frowned but when he saw that Gu Anhao was desperately trying to hold back her tears, he resisted the urge to reprimand her. He restrained himself and controlled his anger as he started the car engine and started driving imdiately.
Gu Anhao did not say anything else when she saw that Yi Zeyang was really driving toward the intersection.
It was only when that silver-grey rcedes-Benz stopped right in front of a bar that Gu Anhao continued sitting rigidly in the passenger seat without moving an inch. She could not understand why he would send her to the bar without any complaints at all.
“Didn’t you say that all you wanted to do is to drink?” Yi Zeyang said when he saw the stiff expression on her face. After that, he unbuckled her seat belt before he said, “I will drink with you then!”
After that, Yi Zeyang got out of the car before he closed the car door behind him and walked toward the main entrance of the night bar.
Anhao continued sitting in the car for a minute before she took a deep breath and quickly ran after Yi Zeyang.
Inside the dark bar…
There were many crystal coffee tables with many bottles containing different types of liquor.
This was one of the more luxurious night bars in A City. Many of the rich young kids would always be hanging out in this bar and therefore, the prices of the brandy, whiskey, bailey and all the other liquors were all marked up in this bar.
Yi Zeyang then sat down on the sofa opposite her before he asked, “Why aren’t you drinking?”
Gu Anhao could tell that Yi Zeyang was really mad at her this ti.
However, Gu Anhao was also a very stubborn and rebellious person, and the more soone tried to control her, the more she would try to go against the person’s wishes. Therefore, Anhao fearlessly grabbed a bottle of whiskey on the table and opened the cap before she started drinking directly from the bottle.
Yi Zeyang could not hold back his anger and he rolled his fingers into a fist when he saw that Anhao had completely lost herself. He continued sitting back as he watched Anhao drinking without a care in the world.
He placed his gaze on her, as though he was trying to see right through her. He wanted to know what she had gone through and experienced in the past five years. Yi Zeyang felt like he did not know who Gu Anhao was anymore. She had changed so much that it felt like the person in front of him was a complete stranger.
Gu Anhao placed the bottle of whiskey back on top of the table after a few gulps.
She raised her hand to wipe her mouth before she said in a happy tone, “I guess I should be really happy that I t soone like you. The cost of these bottles of liquor on this table should be more than enough for to buy a house in A City! Hahaha. What luxury!”
After she was done speaking, Gu Anhao continued smiling as she picked up another bottle of liquor. She did not want to touch the kind of wine that young girls would usually drink. Therefore, she picked up a bottle of brandy before she poured it into her mouth without any hesitation at all.
It felt as though her mind was exploding right this mont!
Yi Zeyang finally got up and walked toward Gu Anhao because he could not hold back any longer. He kicked the crystal table in front of Anhao and the bottles of expensive liquor tumbled over and shattered all over the ground. Gu Anhao was completely caught off guard and she was stunned by his reaction. Yi Zeyang then quickly grabbed the bottle of liquor that she was holding in her hand.
