“You really don’t know, Ms. Gu?” Mobai thought that President Zuo’s identity was known by almost everyone in A City and there was no need to hide anything. He smiled as he stared at Anhao’s expression.
Anhao pursed her lips for a mont. “I rarely read any business news. I didn’t pay attention to those too in the past so of course I don’t know.”
Mobai raised his eyebrows and sighed, “Alright then. You should have at least heard of Shengling Group.”
Anhao raised her eyebrows, “I’ve heard of them. It’s said that they’re a really big family business and an even more prestigious multinational enterprise in the inland. It seems like they’re the top ten or top hundred most influential enterprises too. Their forr headquarters was in Los Angeles and they’ve moved their headquarters back here a few years ago. I’ve heard about big news like this in the business world even though I don’t care much about it!”
Not bad. This girl’s knowledge was not that shallow.
Mobai held back his laughter. “President Zuo is the international CEO of Shengling Group.”
“…!!!”
Anhao’s head felt like it was about to explode.
When she was caught and cornered by the mbers of the Gu family at the hotel with Zuo Hancheng, it was strange seeing the humiliated expressions of Gu Shishi and her mother, including the second and third uncle of the Gu family.
After that, due to a mont of impulse, she went from being passive to getting married to Zuo Hancheng on her own will. She did not give much thought to it.
Now, she knew what kind of a big boss she had gotten herself involved with!

Zuo Hancheng?!
That was why he could simply give her a card and let her use it in whatever way she liked! Why would this man who was worth who knows how many tens of billions mind giving her so daily life expenses?
That was why he could afford to live in Giltview Garden! The land where Giltview Garden was built on was auctioned to a sky-high value. Everyone thought that the developers would not earn anything, it was then Shengling Group took over the developnt of the place. In the end, it beca a small neighbourhood with only sixty six residences but it was able to rake in a few tis more than it was worth. It also beca the highest selling developnt among the real estate transactions in A City.
Seeing Anhao’s expression all muddled up, Mobai smiled. He covered his mouth and coughed slightly. “Ms. Gu, do you have any more questions?”
“No…”
“Then, I shall see myself out now. Please rember to take your dicine. I reckon you can be discharged in a few more days.”
Mobai smiled politely at her, turned around and left.
As soon as the door was closed up, Anhao reached for her phone on the table and started searching for Zuo Hancheng’s na.
Her phone was smashed during the incident. This was a new phone that Zuo Hancheng had ordered soone to buy for her. There was no sim card for now but there was wifi in the hospital so she could access to the internet.
When she searched for Zuo Hancheng’s na, even though he kept a low profile and there was not much information on the dia, a simple introduction and a picture of his side profile was enough to prove that Mobai’s words were true.
He really was the CEO of Shengling Group!
There would always be small bookstalls that would sell those boring CEO novels at the entrance of A High. Anhao had also flipped through so of them. They were novels with titles like ‘Overbearing CEO falling in love with ’, or ‘Overbearing CEO and the little lamb’ and so on. The stories were always about the big boss and Cinderella. Any girl would like these kinds of lodramatic plots.
However, the word ‘dumbfounded’ was written all over Anhao’s face right now.
Being in the Gu family, she would always stand in a corner so as to not stand out as she looked at these so-called high-profile people from the business world.
Those people were shrewd and they were all masters of backstabbing. The higher they stood, the more dangerous they were. Not to ntion, all those in the business world were profiteers. Soone like Zuo Hancheng was not an easy character.
She had fallen into the hands of such a man. What in the world had she gotten herself into?
Anhao bit her nails as she sat on the bed until Zuo Hancheng returned from his company three hours later. She instantly sat up straight—her eyes wide open as she stared at him.
The mont he entered the room, he saw the girl sitting on the bed all frozen, like a wax figure. Zuo Hancheng’s eyes narrowed and he noticed that her eyes were as huge as light bulbs.
Before he could open his mouth, Anhao quickly said in a stern manner, “Tell ! What’s your motive for marrying ?!”
Zuo Hancheng’s eyes were calm as he scanned her from head to toe—a questioning stance with hands on her hips. “Do you think that you have sothing that’s of any worth and of use to ?”
“I asked because I don’t know! If not, why would you, the CEO of Shengling Group, marry , a high school student who doesn’t have any power and was not loved by my parents?!”
Zuo Hancheng appeared to not want to deal with her as he went in and simply threw his coat on the sofa. After remaining silent for a while, his voice was calm when he said, “Since I would have to marry a woman that I don’t love sooner or later, isn’t it the sa as marrying just anyone? Even though you are worth nothing, you still have the title of the mayor’s daughter. This should count as a well-matched marriage and prevent the two families from arguing over troubleso matters.”

Anhao felt that she might be too young, that was why she could not decipher the aning behind those words.
What did he an when he said that he would be marrying a woman he did not love sooner or later?
Then, that must an that he had loved soone before…
Anhao quietly turned her head and looked at him. The light from the sunset projecting from the window onto the man’s face made him look particularly elegant, bringing with it an aura that was rather attractive.
Such an outstanding man, such an important man that was respected by everyone, was there anything that was beyond his control?
Zuo Hancheng then turned to look at her and their eyes t, Anhao who had been spying on him was caught by his deep, dark eyes. It shocked her for a mont and she said in a hurry, “One, I’m not loved in the Gu family, and two, I don’t have a place there! I’m Gu Tianming’s illegitimate child! My na isn’t even registered under the household registry!”
Zuo Hancheng rely looked at her placidly, not uttering a single word.
Anhao licked her lips that had beco inexplicably dry under his gaze.
“I’m an illegitimate daughter! A dishonour to the family! Which ans that that well-matched marriage that you were talking about is void! Also, I’m still young. I only went to the Departnt of Civil Affairs on an impulse! If you’re regretting it now, I will imdiately divorce you! I would never hold you back!”
Zuo Hancheng still said nothing. His calm, black eyes were locked onto that expression of hers which made her seem like a cautious little creature. His gaze seed to be twinkling with traces of piqued interest.
“Are you done?” Finally, he opened his mouth.
Anhao stared at the calm man. She could not take her eyes off him.
However, whenever she thought about his identity and status, and back to her own, she still felt like she had accidentally stepped onto cloud nine. It was simply unrealistic! Utterly and wholly unrealistic!
“Yeah, I’m done.” She leaned back on her propped up pillow, feeling a little guilty. Her voice had beco feeble and weak, losing its usual eccentric and unreasonable tone.
It was until the man started walking toward her that Anhao’s body instantly tensed up. She warily glanced at him. “W-What do you want to do…”
