Chapter 23

“Where the hell did you deliver the alcohol to? Our manager did not see you return and even suspected that you ran off with the money!”

“The five bottles of wine were worth 70,000 or 80,000 yuan in total. Why the hell would I stoop so low as to take the money and run?”

Knock! knock!

From the door ca a knocking sound. Anhao, being the nearest to the door, got up to open it.

“I heard that an unfamiliar female classmate ca into this room just now, right in this very room here. So I ca over to take a look. The school dorm does not allow…”

The voice of the dormitory warden aunt ca in the room the mont the door was opened. But when she saw Gu Anhao, her eyes widened and she stamred, “Gu… Gu Anhao?!”

Anhao rolled her eyes. “Aunty, you don’t look so well. Why not retire soon?”

Upon hearing this girl’s blunt reply, the dormitory warden aunt was pissed off to the point where her face beca contorted.

The fine and extrely tidy skirt-wearing girl who she saw just now entering the room and was currently glaring at her.

She thought that it was so random student from another school. Who knew it would turn out to be the tomboy, Gu Anhao, who always wore her school uniform inside out to the point where her figure was always hidden!’

However, Gu Anhao did not look like a tomboy today. Her hair was not that long, but it had already grown below her ears. She was so clean and tidy that she looked like an obedient girl, and the dress she was wearing evoked a completely different style compared to how she was previously.

Anhao left the dormitory warden aunt no chance to argue with her, and shut the door with a ‘bang’.

From behind the door ca her roaring, “Gu Anhao, open the door this instant! Don’t ever think I’ll spare you with your tidy look today! Why did you not return to the dorm for three days?”

Anhao ignored her and returned to her seat. “Since my school uniform’s missing, then I won’t be attending class today. I’ll just stay in the room.”

“You better don’t! Rumor has it that our school has invited a guest professor from B University to have a eting with the 3rd Graders here!”

“Yup, the President of Academic Affairs also made an announcent that no high school students are allowed to skip classes today.”

“What professor? This ain’t a university. Why invite a professor?”

“No idea. Probably a guest professor from B University’s Departnt of Finance. Aged 27, sounds like he’s quite young. Apparently, this professor specializes in working in the finance firm of Yishi Group, sounds like he’s a high-ranking figure too. How mysterious!”

Anhao beca absent-minded the mont she heard the na ‘Yishi’.

All of a sudden, Anhao was whacked on the shoulder. She then saw Chunchun handing her a set of spare school uniform. “You must have left your school uniform in the bar. It’s too late for you to go retrieve it. So, wear mine first.”

Anhao blankly received the school uniform from her. Chunchun, seeing that Anhao seed to be a totally different person these days, could not help but say, “And now back to topic, you actually look quite good in this kind of clothes. Co to think of it, why not you let your hair grow longer now?”

Anhao looked at her and said, “Spare your complints. When the hell did you ever see being so feminine?”

Huang Amao was chuckling beside them. “Aren’t you feminine right now? Not to ntion, it matches your troubled face. Tut-tut, here we are thinking that Hanru possessed you.”

The mont they ntioned Hanru, Anhao felt a bit nauseous and rolled her eyes. “Don’t ever ntion that ungrateful white lotus in my face.”

“Oh, you do rember that you saved the life of an ungrateful whelp. Hanru sared your na a lot in school these two days!”

“That’s because both the principal and the President of Academic Affairs knew that she went for a drink with those miscreants. She would surely not receive this year’s Star Culture Award. That’s why she’s so pissed off to the point where she is speaking ill of you in front of everybody.”

“All those various gossips involving you for the past two days are spread throughout A High School like wildfire~”

“Hanru, that shaless b*tch. It’s been two days since I last saw her. And I’m gonna rip out her mouth if she crosses paths with again.”

Chunchun indignantly pushed Anhao, who was still standing beside her, aside. “Hey, what the hell are you still standing there for? Hurry up and change your clothes. The professor will arrive at 10:30am, and look at the ti now. What’re you waiting for?”

Anhao could only partly absorb whatever Chunchun and Amao were saying. It was because they ntioned that the professor was soone from the Yishi Group.

“Anhao?”

“Huh?” Anhao was abruptly knocked back to her senses.

“Just hurry up and change your clothes. We’re leaving.”

“… Oh.”

As they were going to be late, Anhao had no choice but to pull the school uniform Chunchun gave her over her dress before heading straight toward the lecture hall.

The mont she took her seat, her cell phone rang, which turned out to be from the principal himself.

“Anhao, did you co to school today? Please co to the principal’s office.”

This surprised Anhao as she did not expect the principal to say ‘please’.

Coincidentally, she planned to go to the principal’s office. But by the ti she stepped out of the lecture hall, she then suddenly saw a familiar figure coming out of a doorway not far from her.

Anhao beca abruptly stiff the mont that man raised his eyes. Then, she hid behind the ergency exit door next to her in a flash.

By peeking at that slender figure through the slightly narrow door gap, all her mories from years ago swiftly flooded back.

Many years had gone by. That man was still as towering and tall as she rembered. He had a wide figure which made people have an extre peace of mind, while his calm and peaceful movents made him look warm and friendly.

The young man, who was holding a speech draft while strolling along the hallway, obviously had a particularly handso complexion with just a glimpse from the side.

He was the one who Anhao once placed her whole belief in, and he was her life’s purpose; the one who once guided her in her life.

Anhao did not expect A High School to invite Yi Zeyang, who had returned to China a while ago, as a guest professor.

And more to the point, Yi Zeyang got engaged after his return. Evidently, the Yi family planned to stay in A City for a while in order to expand their business.

‘He should be busy with Yishi Group’s business, not to ntion taking the ti to accompany his fiancée. What’s he doing here anyway?’

She saw that the man was walking toward the lecture hall. Beside the hall, a few teachers and the president were talking to him.

Yi Zeyang gently nodded while listening to them, seemingly friendly and approachable. He was very attentive to whatever the school president was saying. Even when that man had finally vanished from the hall’s entrance, Anhao remained frozen for a long ti, clearly dazed and lost in her thoughts.

“Gu Anhao, what’re you doing here?”

Just then, a voice ca from behind Anhao, startling her and causing her to abruptly turn around.

The President of Academic Affairs was having a quick smoke below the stairs of the ergency exit. After which, he reached the top of the stairs just in ti to see Gu Anhao bending over and looking out the door like a thief.

Anhao got startled the mont she saw the President of Academic Affairs. Then, after slling the cigarette smoke on the old man’s body, she smiled cheekily. “Mr. President, what’re you doing just now?”

Seeing that this girl was obviously trying to make things difficult for him, the President of Academic Affairs glared at her. “The principal’s looking for you. What’re you waiting for?”
