In the Kunlun Mountains, in a desolate area, the scene had beco utterly devastated. Several peaks had been destroyed, and the mountainsides were heavily ravaged. It could be said that nearly all the wildlife inhabiting these mountains had been wiped out.
At this mont, several six-ter monsters were charging at high speed toward Jun Wu Xiao and Yue Guang.
Jun Wu Xiao stared intently at them, pondering how to engage in battle. He thought:
"These creatures don’t seem to be truly alive. But if they aren’t alive, they can’t be injured, nor can they die. So, what should be done? Ah, they can’t die but can be destroyed. Simply shattering their bodies should reveal a way to annihilate them."
Yue Guang glanced over at him, also considering strategies. Since this type of enemy was unprecedented, reckless actions couldn’t be taken.
Jun Wu Xiao said to her:
"By destroying their bodies, we might just find a way to eliminate them."
"Alright, let’s do it together." Yue Guang nodded in agreent.
The two of them imdiately selected a target and charged straight towards it. The monster they targeted showed no signs of fear or hesitation. It continued to charge frantically towards them.
The monster swung its sharp claws at Jun Wu Xiao, whose speed was evidently superior so he easily dodged.
Yue Guang quickly grabbed the creature’s arm and pulled it back, while Jun Wu Xiao cooperated with her. He throws a punch without hesitating toward its head.
The monster’s head was deford by the blow, and its body was sent flying dozens of ters away, with its arm being pulled out of its body by Yue Guang and Jun Wu Xiao.
At that mont, Jun Wu Xiao suddenly felt sothing odd. He remarked:
"The weight of this thing is so wrong. It’s too light for its massive size. I estimate it’s just over two hundred kilograms."
Yue Guang nodded as she looked at the giant arm she was holding and said:
"Its body is really hard. It’s unclear what exactly they are made of."
They had originally thought that these monsters would move slowly due to their massive weight, but they had miscalculated. The monsters were extrely light, which ant their movent speed was not slow at all.
Suddenly, the arm disintegrated into black smoke and vanished into the air. Jun Wu Xiao was astonished by this developnt, exclaiming:
"What the hell are these creatures?"
As they pondered their next move, three more monsters attacked them. The two of them dashed forward, breaking the legs of two monsters on the flanks, causing them to fall due to lost balance.
Then, Jun Wu Xiao leaped up and delivered a kick to the back of the head of the middle monster, making it plunge headfirst into the ground.
Together, they focused their strength on their punches and struck the heads of the two monsters, instantly shattering them. The remaining monster soon shared the sa fate as its companions.
Unexpectedly, what they hadn’t anticipated happened: the monsters began to stand up again and attack them.
"Damned beasts. Even smashing their heads does not kill them." Jun Wu Xiao cursed while dodging.
Worse still was occurring, the previously shattered heads of the monsters were slowly regenerating. Jun Wu Xiao looked towards the monster he had just fought, it was charging at them again.
Strangely, its body was perfectly restored. The previously lost arm had also regenerated. The deford head had now returned to its original form.
"How can these dreadful things recover so quickly?" Yue Guang said, her expression growing more unsightly.
Suddenly, she noticed sothing peculiar about the regenerating heads of the monsters. She imdiately jumped up and plunged her hand into the head of a monster. She then extracted a black orb about the size of a ball.
Jun Wu Xiao noticed her action and, although he didn’t understand fully, hoped that this ti she might have found a way to deal with these creatures.
Then, they realized that the monster was no longer moving. Suddenly, its body began to dissipate after Yue Guang took the black orb.
"What is this?" Jun Wu Xiao asked.
Yue Guang wasn’t entirely sure but shared her speculation. She said:
"This seems like their energy core. If we can separate it from their bodies, the monster will disintegrate on its own."
Hearing this, Jun Wu Xiao’s expression brightened, and his heart filled with wild joy. He laughed and said:
"Ha ha ha, excellent. Finally, we have a way. Now, let’s destroy them all."
Imdiately, they split up and began extracting the energy cores from the heads of the recovering monsters. After losing their cores, the creatures’ bodies ceased functioning and gradually vanished into the air.
The monster that had been beaten earlier had now arrived in front of them. Jun Wu Xiao leaped into the air and spun around to deliver a punch to the back of its head.
The monster was knocked face-down to the ground by the punch, and in that mont, Yue Guang delivered another punch directly to the spot just hit, piercing through the monster’s head. She then split its head to retrieve the core.
Although they had eliminated four monsters, they had no ti to rest. More monsters from a farther distance were now charging towards them.
They ran incredibly frantically, oblivious to trees and obstacles in their path, as if they could not see them at all. Trees along their path were toppled by their movent.
"Run, and attack when we get the chance." Jun Wu Xiao decisively said.
Although he enjoyed fighting opponents of equal level, he was not foolish enough to stand and fight all of them here. Moreover, he preferred fighting opponents, not true enemies.
While they had managed to eliminate four monsters, these were the weakest. Yet, the hardness of these monsters’ hides was enough to cause his hands considerable pain.
Yue Guang nodded, and the two began to run. They did not flee in a straight line but circled around the area because they did not want to lead the monsters toward any populated areas.
As they were running, they failed to notice a nine-ter-tall monster approaching them at a high speed.
From the forest to their right, a gigantic monster burst forth, opening its massive mouth intending to swallow Jun Wu Xiao whole.
