Jun Wu Xiao ran straight to the place where the monster cores were stored. This ti, the pile of stones blocking the entrance was much sturdier. As a result, it took him a little longer to open the cave door.
"Ha ha, it’s different when you have experience. This ti, they didn’t fall all over the place like last ti." Jun Wu Xiao laughed and said.
Now, he was in a great mood, having just broken through and, more importantly, having learned how to fly. Well, to be precise, it was more like swimming since dark energy was everywhere, and he was rely swimming in it.
Jun Wu Xiao picked up a monster core, trying to feel its surface structure. After a mont of sensing, he said:
"Ha ha, just as I thought. This monster core is also condensed by dark energy at a high density. But does everything contain dark energy?"
He then picked up so rocks and snow to experint, but the result was that they did not contain dark energy. He thought:
"Hmm, no dark energy? It seems not everything can contain dark energy."
Jun Wu Xiao then blocked the cave entrance with stones again and left the place. As he walked, he thought:
"Going out for a bit might not be a bad idea. I’ve decided, with so much lifespan left, I’ll take a little trip. But my friends are in a hurry, so I shouldn’t bother them. I’ll go alone then."
He and his friends were a bit different. How to put it, he was quite playful. This was part of his personality. Even knowing that ti was urgent and they didn’t know when the enemy would attack, he still wanted to go out and have so fun.
However, he wouldn’t be gone for long. Despite being the most playful among them, he knew what needed to be prioritized.
As he leisurely slowly walked out of the Kunlun Mountains, he heard an explosion or sothing similar. There was also a sound quite like an engine.
"Hmm, usually not many people co to the Kunlun mountains. The outskirts might see so visitors, but going deep inside is rare. Why does it seem so lively this ti? Let’s go see what they’re up to." Jun Wu Xiao thought.
Then he ran towards the source of the sounds and was quite surprised by the scene before him. There was a girl riding a two-wheeled vehicle being chased by dozens of people also on two-wheeled vehicles, wielding so sort of attacking contraptions.
"What is this? Bicycles? No, that’s not right, they aren’t pedaling but seem to be twisting the handles instead. Wow, looks like the humans have invented so new toys. And what are those things making loud noises and able to attack? They look fun, but they’re useless for attacking , and if they want to attack monsters, forget it, they can’t even pierce the skin. I rember encouraging humans to produce weapons, not toys. How are they supposed to fight monsters with these? Hopefully, they haven’t forgotten to develop explosives to increase their power. Otherwise, they’re truly useless." Jun Wu Xiao thought.
But he could rest assured that humanity now had toys capable of killing him, so there was no regression in weapon developnt.
The young girl rode for a while longer until she reached a towering cliff, below which was not water but a forest. She stopped her vehicle and got off, looking back at the dozens of people chasing her.
The pursuers also stopped their vehicles, and the leader shouted:
"Return the docunts and co back. Do you intend to wage war with us?"
The young girl was not ek, she scread back:
"Damn it, you were shooting at enthusiastically earlier, and now you dare to tell to go back?"
"You dare curse at ? You were the one who played dirty first. You stole important family docunts. We’re being lenient by not turning you into a honeycomb." the leader retorted.
"What are you barking about? You’re just a lousy shot, firing all those bullets without hitting a single one." the girl said.
"Damn it, I couldn’t bear to shoot you. Do you think I’m a bad shot? I want to marry you, I love you, that’s why I deliberately missed you. Please, don’t run anymore." the leader said.
"But I don’t like you." the girl bluntly rejected.
Her words were like bullets piercing the fragile heart of the young man. He thought:
"All I want is to marry you, is it that hard? It’s true that my family almost wiped out yours and captured you as a trophy, but I love you. No, there must be a chance. I have to believe in success."
The leader took a deep breath, cald down, and said:
"Alright, just return the docunts and co back with . I won’t ntion marriage for a while."
This is already the final price, he couldn’t lower it further. If it had been anyone else stealing his family’s important docunts, they would have been killed already.
However, his heart had already been stolen, he had fallen in love with this beautiful thief and couldn’t bear to hurt her. He was shooting only to scare her into stopping, knowing that her driving skills were excellent, making it hard for her to crash, and even if she did, it wouldn’t be fatal.
"I simply don’t like you. Going back is no fun. Goodbye, if I survive, there will be a day I co to your family to fight with all of you." the girl said, then jumped straight off the towering cliff.
"Idiot, why are you still standing here? Everyone, find a way down imdiately. Even if there’s the slightest chance, we must save her." the young man yelled.
"Yes, young master." the others said, then dispersed to search for a way down.
Jun Wu Xiao, hiding nearby to observe, chuckled and muttered to himself:
"Ha ha ha, didn’t expect to witness such an interesting scene right after deciding to go out. But that girl is quite interesting. However, she’s still an ordinary person and could be in danger. I’d better fly down and save her."
He intended to play the hero saving the beauty. Even if Yue Guang saw, she wouldn’t hit him, she basically didn’t care about trivial matters like this. Besides, Jun Wu Xiao tended to be interested in people who had sothing in common with his friends.
The girl was still in free fall down the cliff, thinking:
"Ah, this ti I’m really going to die, huh? This cliff is so high, and I haven’t had enough fun yet, how boring."
Just as she closed her eyes, accepting her fate, she felt soone catch her back. She opened her eyes to see a handso young man dressed in ancient white clothing, although it wasn’t very white anymore since it had been worn for so long that the color had faded significantly.
