Only five days were left before the world would fall into chaos. The apocalypse was coming, and Roman was more than ready for it. He had done everything he could to prepare for a stable life while the world burned.

He had built not just one, but two safe houses.

The first one was hidden deep in the Himalayas, tucked away between steep hills. The location itself was like a shield — nature’s own protection. There was a natural water source nearby, and the place was far away from the noise and destruction of the cities. Quiet. Safe. Hidden.

The second safe house was actually his current ho. He had turned it into a fortress. Reinforced walls, steel doors, underground bunker, surveillance caras, motion sensors — everything was upgraded. It was his temporary base, his stronghold in the middle of a collapsing world.

He collected food — not just a few als, but enough to feed an army 20 years . Almost 5,000 servings of each dish, from dozens of different hotels. He made sure to place smaller orders from different places, so no one would get suspicious. To anyone watching, it looked like he was planning a grand party — sothing rich people often do. But that was just a cover. And he was planning to collect more.

All the deliveries were sent to one of his newly brought godowns, which he had decorated like a wedding hall. Lights, balloons, chairs — everything was there. But the mont the food arrived, he didn’t celebrate. He quietly moved all of it into his space storage — the hidden world only he had access to.

Next, he went after dical supplies. Not just basic first aid. He bought enough dical equipnt and dicines to open five or six full hospitals. Oxygen cylinders, operation tools, surgical kits, antibiotics, painkillers, ergency injections — everything you could imagine in a high-end hospital.

He didn’t stop there.

He bought books — shelves after shelves of them. Books on chanical, chemical, and civil engineering. Books on MBBS, nursing, ethical hacking, artificial intelligence, and even space technology. Roman had one goal in mind: if the world ends, he wanted to beco a one-man army of knowledge.

Water was becoming more expensive than gold. People in the cities were lining up for hours just to get a bucket. But for Roman, water was only a money problem. And he had money. He bought over 90,000 liters of clean water from different suppliers and stored it inside his space.

Everyday things — the ones people forget about until it’s too late — he collected them too.

Soaps, toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, sanitary products, toilet paper, detergent, candles, matchboxes, chargers, solar lamps, batteries, and more. He bought them all in bulk and stored them safely.

------------------------------------

The news these days were all about wars — countries fighting over water. Due to rising temperatures and climate disasters, water had beco more precious than gold. India never used to have a water shortage, but after helping its friendly nations by supplying them water, the situation turned bad here too.

Water prices skyrocketed. The quality dropped. So areas only got water for an hour or two. People started storing it like treasure.

But Roman wasn’t too bothered about water or war.

What really annoyed him now... was his relatives.

The mont they heard Roman had beco a billionaire, they didn’t waste a second. They showed up at his house with their entire families — fake smiles, loud congratulations, and greedy eyes. All three of his uncles ca. Two of them had brought their daughters — tall, pretty girls with curvy figures, dressed to impress. The third uncle brought his daughter and son.

They acted like they were proud of him. Hugged him. Praised him. Talked about how they always believed in him. But Roman saw through them. Their eyes kept scanning the house, like hungry wolfs wanted to devour his wealth.

The girls started getting close to him — brushing against him "by mistake," laughing at every word he said, offering to help with anything and everything. One even asked if she could stay for a few days to "feel safe" during these uncertain tis.

Even the aunts weren’t subtle.

While the uncles talked about business, land, and how they could "help him grow more," their wives were playing a different ga. They wore flashy sarees and heavy makeup, and every now and then, their eyes would linger on Roman a little too long.

One aunt complinted his looks twice in ten minutes —

"You’ve grown into such a handso man... not like before."

Another one laughed and touched his arm gently, saying,

"You’re still single? How is that possible? A girl would be lucky to have you."

The third didn’t say much — but her eyes said everything. She kept adjusting her blouse, sitting too close, giving him long looks when she thought no one was watching.

But Roman wasn’t a fool. Not anymore.

He let them flirt. Let them laugh. Let them try their pathetic gas.

He smiled back politely. Spoke calmly. Gave them just enough hope to keep them dancing in front of him like puppets.

But not all of them were like that.

One girl stood apart — Nana.

She didn’t dress up like the others. No makeup. No fake laughs. She sat quietly in a corner, reading a book while everyone else tried to act like Roman’s best friend. She didn’t ask for anything. Didn’t look at him with hunger or greed. She just kept to herself.

And Roman noticed it.

He didn’t trust anyone from his relatives — not even for a second. He had seen too much in life to fall for sweet words and fake hugs. But he also knew how to play the ga. So, he welcod them, gave them food, let them laugh and pretend.

He knew — once the apocalypse started, these sa relatives would turn into wild animals. Love would vanish. Blood would an nothing. Survival would be everything.

But inside?

He was making his own plan .

Of how to get rid of them.
