After leaving the Queen’s bedroom, Rosaria led them down the hall, heading straight for the room where the teleporter was located.
Of course, as usual, the place was well-guarded. The entrance alone had two guards outside and another two inside. Further in, there were a few witch pairs doing rounds, ensuring there were no blind spots.
"And so, Sir—no, Duke Axel, where do you plan to head to?"
Just as they arrived beside the teleporter’s controller—a black, shiny, tallic console that stood to about waist height—Rosaria asked. To set up their destination, it was important to know the location they were heading to first, after all.
However...
"Sorry, but I don’t know the na of the dinsion I want to go to." Axel explained with a wry smile. "However, I do know its coordinates. Let enter it manually..."
"Oh, is that so? Then please do."
Rosaria stepped back, allowing Axel access to the console.
He stared at the buttons and the display, then turned to Navi, who had been with him the entire ti.
With a nod, the little penguin knew what he wanted and swam toward the keypad.
With precision, Navi entered the novel-length coordinate without mistake. Of course, to confirm the accuracy, Mimir beside him was checking the entered values and cross-referencing them against the entire coordinate string.
It took only a minute to completely enter the entire string—equivalent to a full novel in length!
Seeing that Navi and Mimir confird the correct coordinates were entered, the two then disappeared as usual, moving sowhere else.
"Alright, it’s done," Axel nodded. "All that’s left is to activate the teleporter!"
As he walked to the center of the magic circle, he turned to Rosaria and Mimika, asking one last ti.
"You two, are you really sure about tagging along? No joke, but the place I’m going to is extrely dangerous. Honestly, I can’t say whether you’ll survive there or not."
In response, Captain Rosaria placed a hand to the brim of her witch hat and smiled. "Of course. It’s the Queen’s orders, so we can’t ditch it even if we want to."
"Losing our lives while following the Queen’s orders is the highest honor we can achieve, so it’s fine." Even Mimika chid in, looking a little shy but resolute.
Seeing that they had already made up their minds and had no intention of staying behind, Axel could only reach into his inventory with a sigh.
"Then, before we go, drink this. Two bottles each."
"This is...?"
The two girls stared at the potions in their hands. Of course, it was none other than the Ultimate Potions!
With them, their stats should increase by at least 200, and furthermore, add a 10x pool to both their Health and Mana. This way, they shouldn’t die instantly even if they landed smack in the middle of a chaotic battlefield!
Knowing the great effects of Axel’s potions, they assud these were buffs too, just like before. However, the mont they drank the two vials...
"W-What is this? Power is rising from within ...!"
"Amazing... I feel like I could defend an entire fortress all by myself now!"
The two gasped, shocked at the sudden power-up they received. But Axel just waved at them, looking apologetic instead.
"This is just the bare minimum. At least, now, you should be safer."
"Bare minimum?!"
Of course, his words sounded no different from bragging to the two girls. They couldn’t tell whether Axel was being serious or simply exaggerating!
Anyway, after the two drank the potions, Axel began activating the Interdinsional Teleporter. The next mont, light flooded their vision. When it faded, their figures were already gone from the teleportation array.
Only the coordinates remaining on the console told others of what sort of hell the three had gone to.
Axel opened his eyes and quickly realized that his worst fears had co true.
"Mana Arrow!"
The next mont, he spawned twelve horizontally-oriented mana arrows, covering all twelve directions.
With a wave of his hand, the arrows flew forward, mowing down whatever they encountered before exploding beautifully upon hitting the ground several hundred ters ahead.
"Rosaria, Mimika, use your curses now!" He quickly commanded.
The two witches, as expected, didn’t even pause as they imdiately sprang into action. With their backs pressed against each other, they waved their staves and held their Voodoo Dolls, chanting a short curse.
"Curse of Paralysis, Curse of Weakening, Curse of Soul Snatch!"
And the mont they finished, three curses were cast in series. One to hinder the enemies’ movents, one to reduce their threat level, and one to deal soul damage!
Of course, the curses spread far and wide, covering kiloters around them. All of the "monsters" within range were caught and fell to the ground, twitching and unable to move. However, this was rely a thod to buy ti for the "real" curse.
With the enemies unable to move an inch, the two girls quickly took advantage and cast another curse. "Curse of Death!" They shouted in tandem.
The next mont, a black fog spread rapidly from where the girls stood. It expanded outward, covering almost all the monsters that had been hit by the triple curse beforehand.
And everything the fog touched... breathed its last.
In under a minute, Axel and the two had eliminated all the monsters within 3 kiloters of their position. Only after detecting no more movent nearby did Axel breathe a sigh of relief.
"Phew... That made panic for a mont." He chuckled.
Why did he panic? Simple—the enemies were just that nurous!
Furthermore, their appearance... was not sothing Axel would find pleasant to look at.
Shiny black bodies about the size of a small dog. Six thin legs that shuffled as they moved. And wings that let out a disgusting beating sound as they flew.
Right... The "monsters" they had just killed were a swarm of Giant Cockroaches!
Rosaria and Mimika, despite being less prone to disgust, couldn’t help but scrunch their brows at the piles of insect corpses surrounding them. Ones that they themselves had made.
"Hmm?"
But just then, Axel noticed sothing.
A window floating in his view—sothing that had appeared while he was distracted, focusing on casting his spells.
He quickly gave it a scan and realized.
"So this is my new quest...!"
