Chen Muxue was not foolish enough to believe that her power as a sick cat could match the drunkard in front of her. Perhaps that was one of the regrets the Black Cat had for Muxue.

But fortunately, the person in front of her was a drunkard.

"Don’t co any closer!" Muxue wasn’t the type of girl to surrender without a fight. She warily watched the drunkard’s every move while nervously taking two steps back.

This action clearly excited the drunkard even more. With a lewd smile on his face, his eyes were fixed only on Muxue, caring nothing for anything else.

Muxue was obviously frightened. She didn’t even notice that the cat was no longer in her arms. After taking two steps back, she turned around and ran without looking back!

The drunkard chuckled and naturally gave chase. Although drunk, he still retained most of his cognitive and physical control. The alcohol was just an excuse for his misdeeds.

A grown man’s legs are certainly faster than a young girl’s, and he was very familiar with this area. To him, Muxue’s two-step head start was nothing.

Who would have thought that the overly confident drunkard would kick sothing as soon as he took a step forward, imdiately tripping, and as he exerted himself, his whole body fell forward.

Chen Muxue’s little foot trip was no slight kick; she even felt the urge to cough up blood. But despite the pain in her organs, she still approached the fallen drunkard with a mocking "ow."

The drunkard covered his mouth, propped himself up with one hand, looked at his hand covering his mouth, and saw that two front teeth had been chipped.

In an instant, rage surged to his head. He no longer cared about Muxue, who had already run a distance away. Glaring at the mocking face of the Black Cat in front of him, he roared angrily, "Beast!" and reached out to grab.

Chen Muxue launched a flurry of owing punches. Beast? Isn’t it obvious who the real beast is? Barehanded and trying to catch her, the cat, that’s too naive. Even the dean of Cat Morality Academy would need a cage to lure her in!

Chen Muxue, after her assault, didn’t linger. Limping, she slipped into the alley where the drunkard had initially been lurking. Her entirely black body blended into the shadowy alley. Hiding in any pile of garbage made it impossible to easily find her.

Just as Chen Muxue slipped in, a carriage bearing a lantern with the character "Wang" passed by, briefly blocked by the drunkard still nursing his injuries.

From the carriage, a young girl’s voice filled with disdain rang out, "What blind object is this? Get out of the way quickly!"

The drunkard was the type to fear the strong and bully the weak. Seeing the carriage belonged to the sowhat influential Wang Family from the town, his twisted expression imdiately turned into a fawning smile. As he bowed to apologize, he stepped aside.

Chen Muxue, of course, wouldn’t foolishly stay in the alley. With the carriage conveniently passing by, she took advantage of the darkness. Using her two good legs, she clawed onto the back of the carriage, her jewel-like, erald-green eyes filled with mockery for the drunkard, as she rode away as a hitchhiker.

The drunkard, clutching his two chipped front teeth in his hand, looked at the proudly posturing Black Cat on the back of the carriage, driven to rage. No wonder people said Black Cats were ominous. Didn’t it just ruin his plan and cause him to chip his teeth?!

If he had known, he should have kicked that beast to death with that foot earlier!

After running a distance, Muxue suddenly rembered the cat was missing, and her heart skipped a beat.
