Ordinary people find it hard to withstand the likes of Ruffy Smith.
He possesses a perfect appearance, and when he lays down his tactics to seduce you—Ellen Young remains unmoved.
She steps back two paces, “Your father definitely wouldn’t want to see a billion-dollar contract lost because of you.”
Ruffy Smith: “…”
He couldn’t help but chuckle lightly, straightening up his body and resuming his careless, frivolous deanor, “That’s how the teacher educates.”
Ellen Young nods, “Bring out the contract.”
The contract had been prepared in advance, Ruffy Smith takes a stack of docunts from the hotel office desk, places them in front of Ellen Young, and watches her flip through the contract.
He rests his hand on his forehead, elbow propped on the desktop, slightly offset, looking intently at Ellen Young without taking his eyes off of her.
This intense eye contact would make most people uneasy, but Ellen Young takes ignoring to the extre, rapidly going through all the docunts.
“There’s no issue with the contract.”
She takes out a pen and signs her na straightforwardly. There are two copies of the contract, one for each party. After signing, soone cos in to handle the rest.
Seeing Ellen Young ready to leave after signing, Ruffy Smith calls out, “Are you heading back now? What, worried about your sister being lonely in the countryside?”
Ellen Young turns back and gives Ruffy Smith a perplexed look, then says, “What’s it to you?”
Lots of questions.
While others might be stung by Ellen Young’s words, Ruffy Smith’s thick skin doesn’t take it to heart, rely raising an eyebrow as he watches her leave.
Good, still unapproachable.
Like this with him, she is even less likely to feign politeness with others. After all, when it cos to appearances, Ruffy Smith still believes he has the upper hand.

When Ellen Young says she’ll be ho by 12:30, she ans 12:30.
Lucy Wood hears the noise, rolls out of bed, cos out, and sure enough, sees Ellen Young arriving ho and taking off her coat.
With her cellphone in hand and a facial mask on her face, she says with so surprise, “You’re back?”
Hearing this call, Ellen Young pauses as if unaccustod to it and after a mont, nods and says, “I’m back.”
Lucy Wood: “I thought you’d be back later. What exactly were you doing in the city?”
People are naturally curious. Ellen Young going to the city in the middle of the night certainly piqued her interest.
Ellen Young says, “Just had so things to take care of.”
Not one for many words, seeing she is still unwilling to share, Lucy Wood stops prying.
Asking too much is annoying.
Ellen Young checks the ti, ready to head to her own room, and says to Lucy Wood, “It’s late, you should rest early.”
Lucy Wood is taken aback for a mont, then says with so happiness after a while, “Okay.”
Ellen Young returns to her room. Although Lucy Wood is curious, she knows so matters are private, especially regarding this sister who has only recently been acknowledged.
However, she had been reading online comnts all night, feeling sowhat upset by the remarks about Ellen Young.
No wonder even Daniel Wood had called her.
But if only she had known, why bother in the first place.
If Ellen Young had been brought back ho, none of this would have happened.
With these chaotic thoughts, Lucy Wood didn’t sleep well all night.
The next morning, she did sll the strong aroma of food, and with the help of her alarm and sheer willpower, regardless of how tired she was, she managed to get up.
Because she knew it was ti for breakfast.
Ellen Young has a routine—she eats breakfast punctually at 7:30 am. If Lucy Wood wakes up late, Ellen won’t call her.
Lucy Wood quickly got used to the routine in just a few days, making sure to get up at seven, no matter how sleepy, to have breakfast first.
