Lucy Wood returned ho and soon received an inquiry from the program team.

The shooting was scheduled for the next month; the program team had to arrange everything for all the guests and the plan within this month, with no room for any mistakes.

Lucy Wood felt troubled because she hadn't gotten Ellen Young to agree at all.

The phone numbers she'd been given remained unresponsive; she knew Ellen Young would never call her.

All she could do was stall for the mont.

She returned to the Wood Family with so displeasure.

It was evening, and the entire Wood Family's ho was ablaze with lights. The living room's chandelier hung down, and at the central dining table, the Wood family sat around, exchanging soft laughter.

Father, mother, grandfather, grandmother, and the younger brother and sister.

A family of six.

Yes, a family of six.

In this ho, there was never a place for Lucy Wood.

She looked at the luxurious yet cozy scene before her, lost in a daze.

Soone noticed her presence. Daisy Wood was the first to turn her gaze, her beautiful face brimming with a smile: "Sis."

It was then that the others noticed her too.

Grandma Carol Sean gently set down her cutlery, and only when she elegantly wiped her mouth with a tissue did she utter, "Back already?"

Her tone was neither warm nor cold, as if it was just a casual inquiry.

Father Daniel Wood and mother Olivia Johnson rely glanced over indifferently.

The younger brother continued eating, completely ignoring Lucy Wood as if she was thin air.

Lucy Wood, looking at such a scene, thought of Ellen Young deep in the countryside mountains and suddenly found it sowhat amusing.

"Don't you all want to know what that girl looks like, what kind of person she is?"

She had returned, and not a single person cared, not to ntion the missing younger sister, who received not a single word of concern.

Were they innately indifferent, or was it just towards her alone?

Olivia Johnson frowned slightly, "How is she?"

Four words that signified her scrutiny.

She was beautiful, and Lucy Wood had always thought her mother was the most beautiful.

In her younger days, she was renowned throughout Water City for her beauty, and even now, her well-maintained elegance stood out.

Lucy Wood had always felt sothing was off, and now she understood.

It was Ellen Young's deanor that matched Olivia Johnson's face without clashing; Ellen Young looked the most like her and surpassed Olivia Johnson in excellence.

Even their siblings could not compare.

And she, Ellen Young, grew up in the countryside.

With this thought, Lucy Wood curved the corners of her lips slightly, "She's doing well, very beautiful. The Wood family's genes are exceptional; she resembles you the most, the closest out of all of us."

Upon these words, the expressions of the Wood family shifted.

Daisy Wood's face paled slightly.

In this family, she was favored because her mother often said with a smile that she resembled her the most.

Olivia Johnson's face twisted montarily, breaking her poised beauty. She wiped her mouth with a tissue, her motion seemingly slow and graceful, but in the instant she set it down, she fiercely hurled a teacup towards Lucy Wood.

"Smash."

The teacup didn't hit its mark but still struck Lucy Wood's shoulder socket.

It was painful.

Very painful.

Lucy Wood rely furrowed her brows slightly but didn't even blink.

Olivia Johnson scread at her, "Get out!"

Completely devoid of the graceful poise of an elegant lady.

The grandparents ignored her, the father rely turned his head away, not at all concerned.

Her younger siblings cared even less.

This was the Wood family.

Lucy Wood looked upwards, forcing the sourness in her eyes to retreat, "You're just scared she grew up in the countryside, and it would embarrass you. You'll regret it, I'll make sure all of you regret it!"

After shouting these words, she turned and strode away.
