’Creatures and I’ was the book that I had grabbed, but it did not have a lot of pages or information.

I went through the whole thing once but only found five or six lines on fairies. But it was all about the difference between Fairy and Fae... which was quite clear just looking at their size difference.

"So, the book turned out to be useless in the end... huh! What’s that?"

On the back of the book was a barcode, just like modern books had. It likely connected to the online information of this book, and I decided to scan the link using my phone cara.

The pop-up startled as bright fireworks exploded on my screen. I felt startled enough by this to almost throw the book.

"Master, are you alright? What was that loud noise? Are we under attack? Do I need to defend against sothing?"

Fenrir asked in a guarded voice as he looked around. But I shook my head as soon as I ca back to myself.

"No, it’s fine. My phone just startled because of the loud noise. We are not in danger."

I told Fenrir, and he cald down a little.

The dire wolf pup did not seem to understand what the ’phone’ was, but he understood that it was a device that would not hurt him.

For now, I clicked on the pop-up in front of and hoped that it was not a scam.

The book cost a little more than what I expected. I did not want to buy sothing that could turn out to be useless.

Now those were so good benefits. It almost justified the price of the book being 5 faith points. The online book was also 458 pages and updated in real ti.

That’s what helped make my decision.

The system told , and I quickly downloaded it before opening the book. The words and illustrations covered the pages, giving much more information compared to the previous book.

"Was the previous book just a cash grab? A way to make people buy the extended version? Can people even find the extended version offline?"

I asked, but there was no answer to that question right now.

After all, even if soone were to get their hands on the original extended version, it was an online copy, and there was no way to print it.

Not that it was any of my business. It was a book that was not for sale anyway.

"Now, let’s see. Where is the F-section?"

I turned the pages until I found fairies, and there were ten whole pages dedicated to them.

Most of the written stuff were folk stories regarding fairies, but there was important stuff here as well — like how fairies had an uncontrollable appetite that could only be tad by feeding them ’special’ mana-infused berries.

I looked at the store, and there were so berries and their seeds left behind. The plants would take about three days to grow enough to be eaten and a week to mature so that they could bear fruit.

Three days was likely too much ti, and I did not want to buy so many berries because a single bag of berries was ten tis the rate of a bag of seeds.

"Hmm, there should be sothing in the point shop to help shorten the ti it takes to grow these things."

I told myself as I looked around. And finally, I was able to find sothing useful.

It was a special kind of fertilizer that promised to grow a seed into a mature plant in a single day. I also saw a cheap solar-power-mimicking lamp that I could use to make a mock day scene tonight.

"How much is all of this going to cost...? Ten faith points? Sotis, the faith points in this shop make no sense... not that I’m complaining. Actually, the prices are really fair."

I quickly corrected my words, just in case soone was listening and decided to use my words to raise the prices. I was pretty paranoid like that.

Anyway, that was not sothing I could do anything about at the mont. So instead, I focused on what I could do for now.

As soon as I got the seeds, I went out to set up the field. I exited the building and walked toward the back side.

That was how I found out that there was a back door that led to the garden, and the room it was connected to was locked from outside.

I spent so ti looking for the key before I decided to just pick the lock.

"Why did I learn that skill again? I don’t think I can recall anymore."

I had a vague recollection of being shoved into a room and being locked in there when I was younger and the subject of the older kids’ bullying in the orphanage.

That was what made develop a lot of weird, possibly illegal but useful skills. I used my skills to open the locked door using a small wire I had found around the shop and entered the room.

Fenrir bolted into the dusty room before I could stop him, and his sensitive nose quickly sneezed.

"Ugh, dust... so dusty. Master, I think I am going to be sick. Please get out of here."

Fenrir complained, and I dragged him out before I covered my nose with a wet cloth and went to the second door.

It was locked from the inside. Thankfully, there was no lock to pick this ti. I opened the other door and entered a garden... that might as well be a forest at this point.

Wild trees and other species had grown to dominate the whole landscape, and I was afraid that I would beco the poor subject of a poisonous snake or sothing.

So I carefully stepped into the garden and turned on my strong flashlight on the phone.

Fenrir sniffed the air before he gave a reassuring look.

"There is no danger around here, Master. A barrier is covering the whole garden. Do you still want to check?"

Fenrir asked as he shifted around with excitent.

I had a feeling that if I allowed Fenrir to go, I would not see him till morning. So I decided to keep him near ... just for security purposes.

And by that, I ant his security, not mine. I was going to be just fine all alone... hopefully.

Surely the rustling of the trees was just a trick of the wind and nothing more... right? It was just that, right?
