Despite all my worries, I woke up the next day without any problem. In fact, it would not be wrong to say that I slept better than I ever had.

’I must have been much more exhausted than I thought. It seems like I crashed out as soon as my head hit the pillow. I should go down to check on my patient.’

That was what I decided to do first. But when I got down to the first floor, there was no one there.

The couch had a small bloodstain that helped remind that last night had not been a nightmare I had hallucinated and that soone had, in fact, been injured and treated by .

It also reminded that I had found dicine in my shop that belonged to modern tis.

"What would questioning what happened do for ? For now, I should go and check up on the register."

I sighed and walked toward the counter. But once I reached it, I found a letter addressed to sitting on top of the table.

It imdiately caused to beco cautious, and I decided to approach the letter with a little more care.

"Huh—! A letter? Who brought it here? And when... I should be more careful..."

But in the end, curiosity got the better of and I opened the letter.

[Dear Cyrus Malcolm, I hope you are having a good ti working in the shop.

I am afraid I needed to leave because I had so work to do, but worry not. I have prepared sothing for you that would help you in your task of managing the shop.

Here, this is a mokeeper. Consider it as a spiritual pet of sorts. It will remain by your side and show you what products you can buy at a given ti.

The rest, I will leave up to the pet to explain.

Once again, I thank you for helping in such a dire ti and wish you the best of luck.

May your wish co true.]

The letter ended with that note, but the context clues I got from it were enough to tell who sent it.

"The previous shopkeeper must have grown a conscience once he had ti to think and decided to send so help."

I packed up the small packet that had been sent to and opened it. A small phone-shaped thing slipped out of it and fell to the ground.

"Nonononono... don’t tell it’s broken?"

I felt my heart leap into my throat as I reached for the phone. Thankfully, it was sturdy and powered up.

In fact, it was built more solidly than the phones back ho because there was not a single scratch on it.

[Powering up... booting... updating operating system... 3...2...1...]

[Faith points checking... 10 faith points found...]

The phone gave so weird ssages before the screen lit up and showed a ga-like interface.

There were two nus—one with my na on it and the other that said "Shop."

I clicked on the nu that had my na on it, and it showed a picture of and a circle which displayed a huge ’1.’ Below it was my occupation—doctor/storekeeper—and then sothing called faith points.

I closed that nu and decided to check the second nu called ’Shop.’

As soon as I did, an interface similar to thousands of online shops opened up. It allowed to filter things, and many of the items in store were items that looked familiar to .

From the food items to dicine to even electronics, the shop had everything.

"Huh... what the... what is all this...? Can I buy it...?"

I asked myself and clicked on sothing randomly. But I got an error ssage when I tried to add it to my cart.

[Error: Insufficient Faith points.]

The ssage told nothing about what faith points were. It just told that I did not have enough.

But from the na alone, I could make an educated guess about what these faith points could be.

’People generally have faith in those who help them out, and from what I can tell, this place lacks a lot of doctors and ntal health awareness in general. So, if I were to spread more awareness about it and beco soone people can count on, I can earn more faith points, right?’

I asked myself, and the more I thought about it, the more plausible it sounded as an idea.

Moreover, there was also a chance that I would be able to head ho if I collected enough faith points.

Now, I had a goal to work toward.

______

"Boss, you are back... what happened to you? You are all bandaged up. How did this happen?"

Questions started to fly as soon as Henry Beckerman stepped into his office.

All work stopped to look at him, but he continued to walk toward his table and then sat down. He tried to move his body, but as expected, he did not feel hurt.

"Boss, are you truly alright? These wounds..."

His second-in-command asked, and Henry just laughed it off.

"I am truly feeling fine. I told you before, right? My luck is amazing. I thought I was done for sure when I saw it—a person... no, a ssenger of God. He treated and gave a miraculous pill that made my pain go away."

Henry’s second-in-command gave him a look that told him that she did not believe a word he said.

But Henry knew his own condition better than anyone else and he could tell that his wounds had almost all healed.

Even with his healing ability as a werewolf, this was far too fast.

The only conclusion he could reach was that the person who healed him was not a normal person, but so kind of higher being.

Also, the shop he had been taken to was weird. When he tried to use his powers, he was not able to. It was as if the whole shop was warning him to behave... or else...

’What a terrifying person I t. It’s a miracle I managed to escape alive. But I did learn one thing through this encounter—I need to be careful and cultivate a relationship with that person. Otherwise, he might choose the side of evil.’

As much as Henry wanted to get rid of the troubleso entity, he knew his own powers better than anyone else.

So he could imdiately tell that he would not be able to defeat that storekeeper.

"Boss, do you want to investigate the person who treated you? I have a feeling that he’s soone suspicious and we need to keep an eye on him."

His secretary told Henry, but he imdiately stopped her.

"No, don’t! This is not a person we can offend, or we will all be in trouble. You need to leave my benefactor alone. I will deal with him myself."

Henry told his secretary, and she took a step back. But she was not convinced about this ’so-called’ savior her boss ntioned.

So she was going to do so digging on her own... just to make sure he was truly safe.
