Hello, everyone! This is Cao Manjun!
With all your support and encouragent, "Life Winner" is about to be released!
The launch is set for noon tomorrow, and I'll definitely provide around four updates of ten thousand words each, because I'm still working and part-ti, so updating every day with ten thousand words is certainly difficult, but Manzi will also guarantee more updates, so please give your support then!
First of all, let's report the achievents!
Currently, we have just over thirty thousand collections, with the real reading data at about three thousand, which is basically on par with "Reborn Childhood Sweetheart" before its launch, and that year's missed Sanjiang Mother has gone up again. The sha is that we missed a round of not going to P with the loudspeaker, but it's not far off!
The inspiration for "Life Winner" cos, as many of you ntioned, from "Chinese-style Parents".
You might see elents in the story including all-level Chinese internet kids, "Crayon Shin-chan", "Dumb Girl", "Daily Lives of High School Boys", "It Only After Rebirth Did I Realize I Had a Childhood Sweetheart", "To the Moon", "The Little Prince", "Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day", "Cyberpunk Edgerunners", "Warhamr 40K series Hamr Bro Jubilant Jokes" ...
Just as previously ntioned, the story of "Life Winner" will be a slice of life tale with a dash of sci-fi elents. I'm trying to write a bit more about the innocence of childhood, watching You You grow up bit by bit by herself, watching these kids gradually beco older and mature, developing their own thoughts, always feeling a sense that these are my internet babies, pinch!
To be honest, the birth of this book was not easy at all, especially as Manzi has also been in a low period in life lately. Whenever I look at the tired and dejected reflection of myself in the mirror, I can't help feeling surprised—
Damn, is this the adult I always dread of becoming when I was a child?
I've never deleted records of my past, be it my personal space, diaries, status updates, or even the pretentious black history of posing in front of a cara at the age of 10, I've kept it all.
I actually really like the ntal state I had as a kid.
Full of enthusiasm, with a sparkle in my eyes, always charging ahead doing all sorts of chuunibyou things, although looking back now it seems awkward and funny, but the spirit and deanor is sothing that the current envies very much and can't obtain.
Because the happiness at that ti was real happiness!
I would nickna myself "ng De Reborn" and fantasize I was the heir of the mighty Cao Cao (like in the Japanese Three Kingdoms-thed works like "Dynasty Warriors", "Fantasy Cao Cao Pass" and the like), pfft, the people who now ntion Cao Zhei and only think of his ambition of liking Cao Cao, are definitely different from !
(Of course, I would definitely consider Liu Bei more amazing now, back then I was just rebellious and chuunibyou)
I would get super excited seeing a red moon at night, thinking that the foreign blood in my veins was about to awaken, howling at the moon with what I thought was arrogance, and then feeling smug when the neighbors complained about who's raising a wolf.
I would make a Duel Disk out of cardboard and talk all big in class, dreaming that my future ambition was to build a Duel Academy;
I used to secretly spray hair gel, trying to style my hair like the cool folks in Yu-Gi-Oh, thinking I was freaking aweso.
Disliking that my na didn't sound like it suited a protagonist, I would write all sorts of weird and quirky nas on answer sheets, like "Excalibur Master", and then get caught and made to stand outside.
Of course, it wasn't just about being chuunibyou!
You wouldn't have guessed it! I also touched a girl's thigh in class, and then received a loud slap to my face right there and then!
That girl whose thigh I touched is already married, wuwu, ti is too rciless.
As for the only unhappiness, it's probably that I t a lot of great girls back then, but I didn't cherish them well enough!
Like the little girl next door, she used to follow around often to play, would co crying to with her problems, and would often co to my place to watch TV with , even stuffing her pocket money into my hands.
But so adults joked about whether I might want to marry her in the future, which made feel really ashad, so I gradually stopped contacting her on my own initiative.
Then she moved away, and after that, there was no more then, wuwu ...
This is probably why I'm so obsessed with writing stories about childhood sweethearts!
Regrets from childhood aren't as bone-carving as those from adolescence, always full of wounds; every ti I think back, I can't help but shout:
Fuck, how could I be so stupid back then!
However, after that, I can't help but crack a self-knowing smile.
It's always in such recollections that I glean a bit of healing.
Although my childhood wasn't affluent, and there are still many things I wanted but have never obtained, I feel that I've always been healed by my younger self, and that's why I'm able to create these works.
The world is restless, and most people can only carry the burden of life's pressures, striving but able to bravely march forward.
But I think, that's already a very remarkable thing!
*Pat pat* you!
Please consider my work as an adjustnt to life!
It may not be full of dramatic ups and downs, but I guarantee it absolutely won't bring you any pain.
If the stories written by You You can make you smile and bring you simple, pure joy, that would be a very fulfilling achievent for .
If you are happy and joyful, You You is happy and joyful too!
This book wouldn't have achieved what it has without the support and encouragent of all the dear readers, thanks to Editor Lu Da for never giving up on , and of course, the care from many author friends who have been providing lots of suggestions and references for my book, and most importantly, cheering on and bolstering my confidence (especially my list-topping brother, Nuclear Watchman), ultimately giving the determination to start a new book and reach this point with everyone's company.
As per tradition, a shoutout to the works of so great authors at the launch:

"Turns Out I'm a God or Buddha" by Du Gu Huan, subduing dragons and tigers, exorcising ghosts and demons, chanting the sacred nas, and ushering in a new heaven with the sun and moon!
"Stepping into Unscience" by Rookie Angler, a novel that changes the course of scientific history, with 4.5 million words for a satisfying binge-read, but the author's education is not high, so it's not recomnded to read with your brain.
