Chapter 904: Chapter 48 Self_2 Chapter 904: Chapter 48 Self_2 But Link felt sothing was very wrong.

Theory and reality often diverge.

This was exactly the situation now.

Sage Selene’s plan was theoretically flawless, but there was a problem in the potion-making phase.

Glancing at the three batches of waste in the waste pool and then at the potion-making process that was nearing its end, yet likely to fail, Link decided he couldn’t just sit idly by.

“Take to change clothes,” he said.

Putting down the personal smart device in his hand, Link turned to Jasmine and spoke.

“Mm.”

Jasmine nodded, leading Link to the changing room and helping him change into the lab-appropriate attire.

Although a spell could have solved the problem, Link still rigorously followed the procedure, completing a full set of sterilization and disinfection preparations before the experint.

“How did you get in here?”

Sage Selene, who was not surprised by her expected failure, was cleaning up the experintal table when she saw Link enter and asked unexpectedly.

“Lend a hand.”

Link walked to another experintal table, took so materials, and began potion making.

It had been a long ti since he made a potion, yet Link’s techniques and operations were not at all rusty; his movents were smooth and flowing.

Seeing this, Sage Selene did not intend to try making potions again. She crossed her arms and quietly watched Link’s operations.

The potion materials were the sa, the first dozen steps were identical, but the difference ca during the stage of rging the dicinal properties of the materials.

Previously, Sage Selene used direct heating, whereas Link used indirect heating through a water bath.

Thus, one of the materials did not release its dicinal properties too aggressively, preventing dicinal loss and resulting in a more sufficient fusion.

After this stage, the techniques Link used were no different from those of Sage Selene.

Looking at the successfully made potion, Sage Selene was silent for a while.

Direct heating versus indirect heating was not particularly difficult.

Yet, she had stumbled on this point four tis, and the reason was simple: anxiety ssed things up.

Palo was still unconscious because he had taken a fatal hit for her.

Thinking of this, Sage Selene’s emotions were too unsettled to perform without making beginner mistakes repeatedly.

Taking a deep breath, coming back from her silence, Sage Selene said wearily, “You might as well make Cody’s potion too.”

With that, Sage Selene walked out of the lab and headed to the adjacent dical room.

She needed to hurry and treat her own facial injuries.

Otherwise, when Palo took the potion and regained consciousness, he would be greeted by a disfigured Selene.

A woman dresses for the man she loves.

Selene wanted Palo to see an unhard, flawless Selene, then demonstrate her most ardent affection towards him with the most intimate gestures.

As for Cody, it was enough that Link and Jasmine cared; Selene did not want to interfere more.

Seeing Sage Selene heading to the dical room, Jasmine also stood up to accompany her.

Left alone, Link persisted and quickly made another potion following Sage Selene’s formula, intended to treat Sage Cody.

Glancing at the firmly shut door of the dical room, Link did not bother Selene and Jasmine. Instead, he changed back into his regular clothes, carrying the two potions to find the waiting Sage Cody and Sage Palo.

“Link, you’re back,”

the severely injured Sage Cody, who was sitting up in bed, spoke with a weak voice.

Sage Palo’s condition was even worse; he had to rely on a life support pod to stabilize his vital signs and prevent his injuries from worsening.

“Mm. You’ve had it tough, Cody,”

Link nodded in response, and while speaking, he passed over the potion intended for Sage Cody.

This potion had to be taken orally.

As for Sage Palo, it needed to be administered via an infusion in the life support pod.

Sage Selene’s rescue plan was very well thought out.

Having undergone a series of treatnts already, Sage Cody and Sage Palo quickly saw improvents in their injuries after taking the potion.

Although they weren’t going to recover completely so soon, Sage Cody looked significantly healthier and didn’t have to use his ntal Power and Mana constantly to suppress his injuries.

It wouldn’t be long before Sage Cody could fully recover.

Sage Palo’s injuries were more severe but visibly improving.

Link checked the data on various aspects of the life support pod and used witchcraft to examine Sage Palo’s health, estimating that it would be only half an hour before Sage Palo would regain consciousness.

After thinking it over, Link called the Tower Spirit and had Sage Palo’s life support pod transferred to his and Sage Selene’s living quarters.

Having shared a life-and-death experience, he believed Sage Palo and Sage Selene would have much to confide in each other.

Sage Cody watched Link’s operations without any comnts. After Sage Palo’s life support pod was sent away, he finally spoke, “Link, do you know what happened to make the Supre Council intervene so decisively?”

“Not entirely sure, but I’ve picked up a few bits and pieces of the story,”

Link replied honestly.

“Is it convenient to talk?”

“Not really.”

“Then never mind.”

“Sorry.”

“Between you and , there’s no need for such formalities.”

“But during the bloody battle, not only did I not fight alongside you, but I also took Jasmine away.”

“You had your reasons for doing so, and everyone agreed to it, so there’s no need to feel sorry. Moreover, by leading away a Level Eight Great Sage and his fleet, you averted a greater disaster. Had the Great Sage not been drawn away, we may not be talking about a casualty rate of forty percent; the Four Sects Legions might have been completely wiped out.”

“How do you know that?”

“The Dean said so.”

“The Dean, huh…”

Link sighed, wanting to say sothing, but then he chose to remain silent.

Sage Cody did not pursue the matter and also stayed silent.

After a while, Link stood up and walked outside: “Rest well, Cody. I have so matters to attend to.”

“Mhm.”

Sage Cody agreed, then called out to Link’s retreating figure, “Aren’t you going to check on your Grande Legions? They perford valiantly today and achieved notable success, especially Lokan’s Personal Guard Army.”

“I will, but not now.”

Link paused briefly then continued walking without turning back.

Leaving the camp of the Four Sects Legions, Link did not stop by to see the Grande Legions; instead, he sent a ssage to Jasmine and went directly to Dean Frist’s office.

Lotson, who had co to see Frist Diomand before him, was not there.

In the office, only Dean Frist stood by the window, looking over the camp still smogged with blood and fire.

“Dean.”

Link knocked softly on the open door and greeted.

“Sit.”

Dean Frist turned around and led Link to the sitting area, pointing to an armchair.

Link took a seat without any hesitation.

Dean Frist began making tea.

During this ti, both remained quiet, maintaining the silence.

Soon, the tea was ready. After pouring two cups, Dean Frist finally asked, “The Saint was just here talking about so matters.”

“Mhm.”

“He said he was very sorry.”

“Mhm.”

“He said he would compensate the academy.”

“Mhm.”

“He ntioned he would go and talk to two people soon to secure so privileges for the academy.”

“Mhm.”

“He said… he said that after today, perhaps Great Sage Revo and Great Sage Seuss might consider coming together to delve deeper into the Parallel Universe.”

“Mhm.”

“He said it’s ti for the academy to let go.”

“Mhm?”

“You’ve long wanted to go independent and grow freely, haven’t you?”

“Mhm.”

“Then you should go.”

“Mhm.”

The two of them, cradling their teacups amidst the rising steam, had a very candid conversation.

And they reached a consensus.

Afterward, both sipped their tea in silence.

After finishing his tea, Link stood up and turned to walk outside.

“Link.”

Just as Link reached the doorway, Dean Frist called out.

Link stopped, turned back, and looked at Dean Frist, waiting for him to continue.

Dean Frist’s mouth opened and closed several tis, having much to say yet finding it all sohow inappropriate.

After much thought, all his words culminated in one:

“Take care.”
