Becoming a Wizard by Starting From the Mind Closure Technique Chapter 726 - 214: Gain and Loss2
Chapter 726: Chapter 214: Gain and Loss_2
“This…”
Link couldn’t help but feel confused, then voiced his question, “Wouldn’t the rules of that world be skewed then?”
Not even a Saint could be all-knowing, omniscient.
Every Wizard above level four would have a distinct understanding of the rules, emphasizing different aspects. It was impossible for one to be comprehensive and profound at the sa ti.
According to what Dean Frist had expressed, indeed the Destiny World of a Great Sage could not be seen as a complete world!
Dean Frist retorted, “Is it such a bad thing if the rules are sowhat skewed?”
“….”
Then, it suddenly dawned on Link.
Having so variance was the unique feature and pursuit of each Great Sage.
The underlying logic was sowhat complex. Link only had a vague concept and it took him a mont to think it through.
However, simply based on this vague concept, Link largely grasped the deeper aning in Dean Frist’s words.
Therefore, was Sage Rosenthal now using the rules that he discerned, through his “World Master” authority, to transform the “Small World?”
Thus, when the “Small World” advanced to the “World,” it could seamlessly and smoothly transform into Sage Rosenthal’s Destiny World, clearing the barriers to becoming a Great Sage.
“Do you understand now?”
Seeing Link’s reactions, Dean Frist asked with a smile.
“I get it, sowhat.”
By this ti, Link finally understood why Dean Frist didn’t take his doubts about the “world within a world” seriously.
Generally speaking, after Sage Rosenthal transforms the “Small World,” Link would have no chance to influence it anymore.
On the other hand, when the “Small World” was in Link’s hands, was the ease with which beings or objects beyond his level were able to penetrate its defenses due to his understanding of too few and too basic rules?
It was like a computer with top-level hardware, but no compatible operating system or firewall.
Absolutely defenseless!
A perfect sitting duck!
“I see, I’m just too weak.”
Link murmured to himself, sowhat taken aback.
“Weak? What do you an?”
Sage Rosenthal just opened his eyes at that mont, heard Link’s murmur, and asked curiously.
“Nothing, just aningless babbling. I didn’t an anything.”
Link quickly explained.
Sage Rosenthal didn’t dwell on it and turned to Dean Frist, accusingly, “What do you take for?”
“Pardon?”
Dean Frist understood what Sage Rosenthal ant but acted confused on purpose.
“Humph!”
Sage Rosenthal glared at the feigned ignorance of Dean Frist and grumbled, “Could you give us so privacy? I need to talk to Wizard Grande alone.”
“No problem at all.”
With a wave of Dean Frist’s hand, the three of them imdiately exited the all-white special space and in a blink of an eye, returned to the Cultivation Secret Realm.
The difference was, Link shifted from outside of the Secret Realm to where Sage Rosenthal usually ditated.
“Give a shout if you need anything.”
After leaving these words, Dean Frist disappeared.
“Finally, so peace and quiet.”
Sage Rosenthal heaved a sigh of relief, then looked at Link, seriously saying, “As Frist has suggested, I must compensate you for this.”
“No!”
He waved his hand and added, “Not just compensation, I must also thank you.”
Link didn’t respond, silently waiting for him to continue.
Not wasting any ti, Rosenthal Sage imdiately made it clear about his prepared compensation and gratitude, “I took a ‘Small World’ from you, and I’ll return it with three Worlds.”
“Three Worlds?”
Link was sowhat guessing and puzzled.
“One World is good up to a Level Five Sage, and the other two Worlds are suitable up to level 5 Extraordinary beings. The forr can serve as a Servant Soldier Origin World and the latter two can serve as Resource Worlds. I will take care of the final steps soon, and then facilitate the transition through the academy.”
Sage Rosenthal provided a detailed explanation.
“Thank you, Sage Rosenthal.”
Link imdiately offered his sincere thanks.
“Hmm.”
Sage Rosenthal nodded, falling silent.
Dean Frist, who had previously stated, “Call if you need anything,” appeared just in ti.
“Goodbye.”
With a simple farewell, Dean Frist promptly led Link out of the Cultivation Secret Realm and back to the main world of the academy, the office Link had previously visited.
“Fancy a sit and a chat?”
Dean Frist sat behind his desk, his eyes whimsically smiling at Link.
“I’ve already consud a lot of your ti.”
Listening to the tone, Link declined politely.
“Alright then, I won’t see you out.”
“Goodbye, Dean.”
Leaving the office, Link drove straight back to his villa, following the navigation system.
On the way ho, Link reflected on his experiences over the past few days.
His gains from the Sage-level Cultivation Secret Realm didn’t require much thought.
The main point was the gains and losses from surrendering the “Small World.”
From a short-term benefit standpoint, Link ca out a big winner.
The definite gains included three worlds, the yet-to-be-confird gains included compensations and rewards from the academy.
From a long-term benefit standpoint, it’s possible that the balance of gains and losses could either reverse or remain the sa.
The key was whether Link could obtain another “Seed” or “Small World” that could be nurtured into a suitable Destiny World for a Great Sage, and whether the Sea of Consciousness Little World could actually materialize.
These factors were full of uncertainties.
Just before arriving at the villa, Link recalled the cause behind his abandonnt of the “Small World.”
He helped Dean Frist treat Lady Lisandra, who had been shafted by Great Sage Mitchell, and forcibly contained the Whitening Bone Fragnt using the “Small World.”
“I hope the compensation you promised is to my satisfaction.”
Link thought gravely as he got out of his vehicle and walked into the grand hall of his villa.
“Link, you’re back.”
Jasmine’s voice echoed from the kitchen, carrying a hint of surprise.
“When did you get back? How was this extracurricular practice activity?”
Instead of wasting ti with a response, Link asked a question.
Before Jasmine could open up again, Franda suddenly burst out from the Sea of Consciousness Little World, wailing as she flung herself towards her mistress.
“What’s the matter?”
Jasmine quickly swallowed her words as she coddled the tearful Franda, asking with concern, “Franda, what’s wrong? Did sothing upset you?”
“Master, Master…”
Franda’s head was buried in Jasmine’s embrace as she complained in a muffled voice, “Master has lost Franda’s ho! Franda is now a child without a ho.”
“What?”
Jasmine’s voice escalated in surprise, “What on earth happened?”
As she spoke, Jasmine fixed a stern gaze upon Link’s eyes.
This matter was originally sothing Link had intended to tell Jasmine about anyway, so he was not flustered by Franda’s outburst.
With a calm deanor, he explained everything in detail, from saving Lady Lisandra to his ntal changes, to Dean Frist’s proposal, to the division completed under the presiding of Great Sage Seuss, and to the compensations and rewards that followed.
“Three worlds? One Servant Soldier Origin Type and two Resource Types?”
Perhaps due to her extensive experience in logistics, Jasmine’s primary concern was the compensation promised by Sage Rosenthal.
“Wah!!!!”
Franda cried even harder, wriggling out from Jasmine’s embrace in distress, accusing, “The mistress doesn’t care about Franda anymore – poor Franda!”
Jasmine quickly pulled Franda back into her embrace, holding her tight with her left hand while patting her back soothingly with her right, placating, “Franda, how about we let your master choose a world from those three for you to reshape, how does that sound? Out with the old, in with the new. We could reconstruct a dream world that completely aligns with your desires, what do you think?”
At this mont, Link readily made a promise, “Not just one, all three will do!”
“Will master keep his promise?”
Astute Franda, having vented out her emotions, didn’t stir up any more trouble. With teary eyes, she awaited Link’s response.
Of course, Link affird her doubts.
“Master always keeps his promises!”
