Chapter 41: ditation Technique x Opening of Nen
“Since you’ve been practicing ditation before, you must have so knowledge of how to learn Nen, right?”
Biscuit looked at Luo Lin in front of her.
“Yeah, I know a bit. By ditating through zazen, I can open the aura nodes, or let a Nen user forcefully open them.” Luo Lin replied truthfully.
“You know quite a lot.” Biscuit nodded and then asked, “So, do you want to forcefully open your aura, or would you prefer I teach you the real ditation thod to open it yourself?”
“I’ll open it myself.”
Luo Lin thought for a mont before replying. It wasn’t that he didn’t trust Biscuit, but rather he wanted to learn more about Nen and the extraordinary knowledge associated with it.
The ditation technique to activate Nen was sothing Luo Lin wasn’t familiar with. Although it might not be very useful afterward, it could at least satisfy his curiosity.
The key point was that Luo Lin didn’t feel using ditation to open his Nen would take up too much of his ti.
“Alright.” Biscuit nodded, not saying much about Luo Lin’s choice, and began teaching him the thod to open Nen through ditation.
“The ditation technique I’m going to teach you is called the Crystal ditation Technique. It’s a thod from the Heart Stream specifically for people like you with strong ntal strength.”
“The Crystal ditation Technique requires higher ntal strength, but it’s also the fastest way to sense life energy.”
As Biscuit explained, she handed Luo Lin a tablet, which displayed an image—a lifelike crystal humanoid figure, continuously breathing.
As the crystal humanoid breathed, a long, steady stream of energy was drawn into its body, circulated within, and then exhaled through the mouth and nose, the breath long and forceful.
“This is the key visualization for ditation. You need to imagine yourself as this crystal humanoid in your mind and breathe in sync with this rhythm. Then, you must feel and capture the life energy in the breath you exhale.”
Biscuit carefully explained every detail of the ditation, and Luo Lin listened attentively, committing everything to mory.
After all, this was crucial for his next step in opening his Nen. He couldn’t afford to be anything less than ticulous.
After about ten minutes, Biscuit finished explaining all the details.
Only then did Luo Lin fully understand why Biscuit had said his previous ditation practice was useless.
Unlike regular ditation, which focused on calming the mind, steadying emotions, and cultivating character, the key to Nen ditation lay in sensing life energy.
Without sensing life energy, no matter how much you focus your mind, it’s pointless.
Whenever Luo Lin entered a high-speed state, his concentration far exceeded what he could achieve through ditation.
“That’s all for the ditation thod and the points to watch out for when opening your aura nodes. Now, give it a try! Don’t rush for results on your first attempt. Sensing life energy is a natural process that mustn’t be forced.”
Biscuit said seriously to Luo Lin.
“Got it!” Luo Lin nodded. Even without Biscuit’s reminder, he was already eager to give it a try.
Nen… was now within his reach.
There was no way Luo Lin could hold back anymore.
“Hoo—”
Luo Lin took a deep breath, adjusting his state, and sat cross-legged, clearing his mind and focusing.
“Imagine yourself as a crystal full of impurities. Inhale, let the air flow through your body like water. Exhale, long and steady.”
Following Biscuit’s instructions, Luo Lin visualized himself as a humanoid crystal in his mind, breathing in and out, the breath flowing in a continuous cycle.
As Luo Lin’s murmuring grew softer, he gradually imrsed himself in ditation.
“So quick to enter the state?” Biscuit wasn’t surprised by this. She had already noticed Luo Lin’s natural talent for ditation when she observed him before.
In ditation, Luo Lin had a remarkable aptitude.
At that mont.
Luo Lin felt as though he had truly transford into a crystal humanoid, pure and flawless, becoming more transparent with each breath.
“What’s that…”
Luo Lin saw it.
Within his now transparent body, there was energy flowing with his breath, circulating within and without with every inhalation and exhalation.
“This ceaseless flow with each breath… This must be life energy!”
A realization dawned on Luo Lin.
According to Biscuit, the mouth and nose naturally have orifices, where energy flows through, making them the easiest places to sense life energy.
By using the Crystal ditation Technique to imagine himself as a flawless crystal, he could easily sense the life energy in his breath.
Luo Lin was filled with joy, and with a slight movent of his mind, he began guiding the life energy as Biscuit had instructed.
Since life energy cos from the body, and Luo Lin had a strong ntal force, it only took a gentle attempt for him to easily control the life energy at his mouth and nose.
By touching this portion of life energy, Luo Lin also succeeded in sensing the life energy constantly dissipating from various parts of his body.
With ease, Luo Lin gathered all the dissipating life energy around his body, controlling and containing it.
“This must be Ten… The simplest form of Ten.” Luo Lin thought to himself, sensing the life energy surrounding him.
The hardest part—sensing life energy—was complete. Now, all that was left was to open his aura nodes.
As Luo Lin manipulated the life energy around his body, he slowly directed it toward his mouth and nose.
As ntioned before, the mouth and nose are the easiest places to sense the invisible, intangible aura nodes.
As Luo Lin directed the life energy into his mouth and nose, most of it fused into his body after entering.
However, a small portion of life energy didn’t fuse and instead flowed into another space.
Luo Lin felt it. He sensed the vast life energy dormant within his body.
And as that small thread of life energy rged with it, Luo Lin felt that dormant energy being activated.
In an instant, it was like a volcanic eruption.
The imnse life energy surged from Luo Lin’s mouth and nose and erupted from every part of his body.
Is this… the opening of my aura nodes?
Luo Lin was startled for a mont, but quickly used the thod Biscuit had taught him to restrain the outpouring life energy with his willpower.
Originally, Luo Lin thought that controlling such a powerful outburst of life energy would be difficult, but instead, he easily contained it.
In fact, because the quantity of life energy had increased, his perception was clearer, and it was even easier to control than before.
Almost as if it was second nature, Luo Lin confined the life energy around his body.
“This is… Nen!” Luo Lin’s eyes flashed with amazent.
With the aura nodes around his eyes now open, Luo Lin could see the faint mist-like aura surrounding his body.
As expected.
It was as though he was wearing an invisible coat, and a deep sense of security welled up inside him.
In truth, though, this aura wasn’t just a simple coat. With enough training, it could beco stronger than steel armor.
…
Biscuit sat nearby, resting her chin on her right hand as she watched Luo Lin, her mind filled with thoughts.
She was curious about how Luo Lin had achieved such a perfect human body, and also wondered what Netero’s true purpose was in sending her here.
Various thoughts floated through her mind, and then she saw the sudden surge of life energy around Luo Lin, which he soon contained.
“It’s already done, huh?”
Biscuit looked up, her expression calm, without a hint of surprise.
After all, compared to everything else she’d seen so far, the fact that he could possibly open his Nen on his first try was hardly shocking.
It was nothing worth being surprised over, right?
It was sothing that normally took ordinary people a year, people with so talent six months, geniuses three months, and supre prodigies one week to achieve, but he had done it on the first try?
Was that really so surprising?
Not at all!
