This whole setup was aid squarely at him—at Xiao Feng. And the mastermind was clearly the man right in front of him, laughing and chatting with the bank president.
He searched his mory for a long ti but couldn’t find a single thing connecting him to this man. Sothing’s not right. When exactly did I offend such a heavyweight?
While chatting amiably with Sun Dasheng, Wang Jianshe glanced at his two dejected subordinates. As an old fox well-versed in the politics of the establishnt, he knew there was sothing more to today’s dinner banquet. But he was more than happy to play dumb. The credit manager was a holdover from his predecessor, and he had long wanted to promote his own person to the position but had never found a good opportunity. Now, a perfect, above-board excuse to replace the man had just fallen into his lap.
As for Sun Dasheng, he knew his little sche had been seen through. But he didn’t care. For a man with the System, money was not an issue. He would only have more and more of it in the future. Eventually, it would be the banks that needed to curry favor with him, not the other way around.
Thus, the perfect outco—a world where only Xiao Feng was hard—was achieved. Of course, this also dragged down the small fry, Chen Chao. In the grand sches of the powerful, he was utterly insignificant—just an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire.
The farce concluded. After shaking hands with President Wang, Sun Dasheng left with the two won.
Wang Jianshe watched them depart, comnting with a sigh, "So n have all the luck." Then, his gaze fell upon his two subordinates, and he instructed the secretary behind him, "When we get back to the bank, issue a suspension notice for them. They are to reflect on their actions."
"Yes, President!" the secretary answered in a cool voice before following the president out.
Suspended for reflection!
Xiao Feng felt like his head was going to explode. This was only the prelude to the reckoning. He was about to lose his position. If they conducted a thorough investigation, he might even spend a few years behind bars. With his forr backer, the previous president, he had grown accustod to acting arrogantly at the bank, never bothering to clean up his own sses.
At this thought, his eyes landed on Chen Chao cowering sheepishly to the side, and a surge of uncontrollable anger erupted within him. If you hadn’t offered up your wife, this dinner would never have happened. Without this dinner, I wouldn’t have t that plague. Without that plague, the president wouldn’t have caught in such an embarrassing situation. And if the president hadn’t seen that, there would be no suspension, no investigation, and certainly no prison ti!
"Damn you, Chen Chao! This is all your fault, you little snake!"
He transford into a fierce tiger, lunging viciously at Chen Chao.
Chen Chao was scrawny and not particularly tall. But it all depended on the comparison; against Sun Dasheng, he naturally stood no chance. Now, however, he was facing a flabby, pot-bellied, and older middle-aged man. He wasn’t intimidated in the slightest. Besides, his so-called supervisor was about to beco unemployed, just like him. That thought made him even bolder.
He let out a howl and charged forward. "Xiao Feng, I’ve had it with you for a long ti! Today, I’ll settle all scores! I’ll beat you to death, you son of a bitch!"
The two of them engaged in a full-scale brawl right then and there. It ended with both n sporting bruised noses and swollen faces in a classic case of mutual destruction. Ultimately, they were both cuffed and hauled away by the police.
Charges: fighting and brawling, seven days of administrative detention, and a fine of 3,000.

Exiting the hotel’s front doors, they found the car already parked at the entrance. The driver got out and opened the doors for them.
Once the three of them were settled inside, the driver asked his boss for their destination.
Sun Dasheng glanced at Xiang Yiren, who was sitting in the middle. The look was ant to tell her that since she knew Jiang Ziyan’s address, she should give it to the driver so they could take the unconscious girl ho.
To his surprise, Xiang Yiren opened her mouth sheepishly. "Zi Yan just moved recently. She only told the na of her neighborhood, but I don’t actually know the specific address."
"And you call yourself her best friend," Sun Dasheng said irritably.
"So what do we do now?"
"Let’s take her to my place first," Xiang Yiren said, cradling the woman in her arms. "I have two bedrooms, so there’s enough space."
"Alright, we’ll go to your place."
Xiang Yiren gave the driver her address, and he set off as instructed.
Halfway there, seeing that Jiang Ziyan still showed no signs of waking, Xiang Yiren said worriedly, "Brother Sun, maybe we should take her to the hospital for a check-up. Who knows what they gave Zi Yan to drink."
Sun Dasheng nodded and told the driver to head to the hospital first.
After an examination at the hospital, they were finally able to relax. It was just a common sedative. Perhaps Jiang Ziyan had a unique constitution that caused her to take longer to wake up than most people.
「At Xiang Yiren’s ho.」
The driver was dismissed for the night, but the car was left behind. Since his three little ones weren’t at his ho, Sun Dasheng planned to stay over. Not much ti had passed since their al earlier that afternoon, so neither of them was hungry.
After settling Jiang Ziyan in the guest room, the two of them started playing a little ga in the master bedroom. The little ga was endlessly entertaining.
By the ti the ga was over, night had fallen.
After they both showered, Xiang Yiren went to the guest room to check on her friend again. She ca back out and grumbled, "Was that doctor telling the truth? How is it that Zi Yan still shows no signs of waking up?"
A large hand stretched out from the sofa, pulling the beauty onto his lap and into a tight, roaming embrace. "She still hasn’t woken up?" he asked. "That’s one hell of a ’peculiar constitution’ the doctor was talking about."
He was also a bit puzzled; logically, she should have been awake by now. But a doctor from a top-rated hospital wouldn’t just bluff. He figured she would wake up naturally when the ti ca.
Cuddling on the sofa, the two started playing a mobile ga. It had been a while, and diving back in felt surprisingly fresh.
Soon, Xiang Yiren couldn’t hold back a yawn. "I’m going to check on Zi Yan one last ti, then I’m going to bed."
