Xie Moyao foolishly watched as Sun Dasheng started taking off her clothes, her mind racing. Why didn’t Wen Wen send a ssage about leaving for sothing urgent, instead sending it to him? Is there sothing fishy going on here?
"Let see the ssage," she asked.
"Here, see for yourself," Sun Dasheng said, handing her his phone. He then patted her bottom. "Lift up a bit, your pants are pinned down."
As Xie Moyao read the ssage, she subconsciously cooperated with his movents. Seeing the text on the phone, she breathed a sigh of relief. He hadn’t lied to her; the ssage was indeed from Wen Wen’s WeChat.
*President Sun, I have an ergency at ho and need to rush back. Please stay with my sister-in-law for a while and chat. I’ll hurry back as soon as I’m done. Please, don’t leave. I still have things to talk to you about.*
"Why didn’t Wen Wen ssage ?" Xie Moyao asked, putting the phone down. By this point, they were both naked.
Sun Dasheng didn’t answer her. Instead, he patted her thigh. "Put your leg on my shoulder."
Xie Moyao: "..."
...
The private room was sealed too well. Perhaps the ventilation system hadn’t been turned on, or maybe soone had quietly shut it off. In any case, the two occupants were beginning to feel deprived of oxygen.
Xie Moyao felt like she couldn’t breathe. "Stop," she gasped. "I need to go out for so fresh air."
"Is it that serious?" Sun Dasheng asked, scratching the back of his head. He, too, could feel the faint signs of oxygen deprivation. He looked at her flushed face and understood.
"Then let’s speed up."
"Hey!... You jerk... I didn’t an that... AH!..."
...
When they erged from the private room, Xie Moyao collapsed into Sun Dasheng’s arms, greedily inhaling the fresh air. "I’m finally alive again."
Sun Dasheng chuckled as he looked down at the woman in his arms. She was covered in a fragrant sheen of sweat, stretching her neck like a greedy little kitten gulping down air.
"What are you laughing at? This is all your fault," Xie Moyao said, playfully pounding his chest with her little fists.
"Alright, alright. It’s my fault. All my fault, okay?"
"What do you an, ’okay?’ You make it sound like I’m being unreasonable, but it’s clearly your fault!" When she acted coquettishly like this, Sun Dasheng felt he couldn’t take it. Dressed in her Warring States-style robe, Xie Moyao truly did resemble the famous beauty, Lady Yu from *Farewell My Concubine*. Sun Dasheng could never find it in his heart to be harsh with a beautiful woman.
"Put down this instant," she demanded.
Although the path here was secluded and saw few people, occasional staff mbers still walked by. They were highly professional, averting their eyes after a single glance, but it still made her uncomfortable.
"Alright, I’m putting you down. Are you sure you can stand steadily?" Sun Dasheng asked.
"Humph! Who are you underestimating? Do you think I’d get weak knees from just that? I’m not that frail."
"Fine, I’ll put you down. Watch your step," he said.
As expected, the mont he let her go, she staggered and nearly fell. Fortunately, Sun Dasheng had been watching her closely and caught her around the waist with his strong hands.
"See? I told you you wouldn’t be able to stand, but you insisted on being stubborn."
"I... I just wasn’t paying attention for a second. Let go of , I can manage," Xie Moyao insisted.
"Really? Then I’ll let go, okay?"
"Wait... hold on!"
"What’s wrong?"
Xie Moyao’s face turned red. The mont he had started to let go, she felt herself begin to topple over. It seems I really can’t stand after all. However, she couldn’t admit it out loud. "Don’t just snatch your hands away so suddenly," she said. "I need a mont to adjust."
"Oh? Then what should we do? I’ll listen to you," he said, amused by her stubbornness. So she’s the proud and prickly type on the inside, he thought.
"Just remove one hand. Keep the other one gently on my waist."
Sun Dasheng did as she asked. "And then?"
"Then, after I take a few steps... Hey! I think I’m okay now," Xie Moyao said, taking a few ginger steps. "You can let go completely."
He didn’t respond. She turned to look at him. "Didn’t you hear—"
Before she could finish her sentence, a voice made her jump several steps away from Sun Dasheng.
"Sister-in-law, I’m back. Hey, why did you two co out? Weren’t you supposed to stay in the private room, have so tea, chat, and wait for ?"
Hurrying toward them was, of course, Li Wenwen.
"Why didn’t you warn ? She almost saw us," Xie Moyao complained to Sun Dasheng in a low voice.
Sun Dasheng spread his hands. "I just saw her now, too. There was no ti to warn you."
"Forget it. I’ll settle this with you later," she whispered quickly. Then, forcing a smile, she went to greet the approaching Li Wenwen. "Wen Wen, did sothing urgent happen at ho?"
Hearing this, an uncomfortable smile flashed across Li Wenwen’s face before she quickly masked it. She affectionately took her sister-in-law’s arm. "Oh, it was nothing major, and it’s all handled now. Those people just love to make a big deal out of nothing. Since my father, mother, and brother aren’t ho, they called back to deal with it. But really, it was just a trivial matter, not even worth ntioning. Don’t worry about it, Sister-in-law. Let’s not just stand here at the door. Let’s go back inside for tea."
Li Wenwen’s rambling explanation seed to say a lot while revealing nothing at all. She had truly mastered her father’s business-world art of deflection.
"Oh, I see," Xie Moyao nodded.
Seeing Li Wenwen heading for the private room, she imdiately blocked her path.
"What’s the matter, Sister-in-law?" Li Wenwen asked, puzzled.
"Um... well... since we’ve finished eating and drinking, shouldn’t we be leaving? Why go back inside?"
Xie Moyao glanced guiltily toward the private room, wondering if that particular scent had dissipated yet.
