Ningwan never expected that her much younger brother would have feelings for her.

She never imagined that this brother would go to such lengths to win her, using any ans necessary.

Ningwan was both angry and frustrated, struggling fiercely.

However, Lin Yue was no longer the delicate boy of the past, softer than a girl.

He held onto Ningwan tightly, begging in agony, "Sister, please don’t push away. I really like you, I can do anything you ask."

"I want you to leave ." Ningwan said angrily.

In fact, she could have used tactics against Lin Yue, but she couldn’t bring herself to.

After all, he was Lin Yue, not anyone else.

As they were entangled, the door was kicked open, and Zhan Hanjue suddenly rushed in.

Seeing the scene, Zhan Hanjue’s eyes turned cold.

He imdiately stepped forward and punched Lin Yue away, pulling Ningwan into his embrace.

"Wanwan, are you okay?"

"I’m fine," Ningwan shook her head.

Lin Yue got punched and fell to the ground.

But quickly, he got up from the ground, raising his fist in anger to strike Zhan Hanjue.

Zhan Hanjue naturally wasn’t afraid of him and was about to retaliate, but was suddenly blocked by Ningwan.

Ningwan glared angrily at Lin Yue and scolded, "Lin Yue, you dare to hit?"

Lin Yue looked at Ningwan blocking him, and suddenly felt deflated, slowly lowering his fist, murmuring with grievance, "Sister, I... I really like you."

"So your affection ans framing my husband, trampling others’ lives?" Ningwan questioned coldly.

Lin Yue clenched his fist, neither admitting nor denying.

He wasn’t stupid, seeing Zhan Hanjue and Ningwan together, he quickly understood everything.

"So, your quarrel was fake, just to expose ? But why, sister, when did you start suspecting, or did Zhan Hanjue make you doubt?"

Ningwan closed her eyes, "From the mont the flas of war were directed at Zhan Hanjue, I felt sothing was off. Lin Yue, your plot is indeed flawless, but you underestimated one thing."

"What thing?" Lin Yue didn’t understand.

"You underestimated the bond between Zhan Hanjue and . We’ve been through so much, the trust between us isn’t sothing you can easily undermine. A little sche won’t turn us against each other." Ningwan said, "So, from the mont you told it might be Zhan Hanjue behind all this, I doubted you. But I didn’t know your motive, nor could I understand why you would do this. Initially, I thought you resented Zhan Hanjue for sending you abroad, holding a grudge, that’s why you targeted him. I deliberately pretended to be drunk, giving you a chance to act, thinking you’d kidnap to threaten Zhan Hanjue. But I didn’t expect..."

It wasn’t kidnapping, but a confession.

This was beyond her expectations and sothing she dared not easily guess.

Of course, knowing the truth, it was hard to accept.

"Turns out I was wrong from the very start," Lin Yue smiled bitterly, "I was wrong all along."

"Lin Yue, was Mrs. Cheng’s death your doing?" Ningwan questioned.

Lin Yue murmured, "Does it matter if it was ? To sister, what does it matter? After all, sister doesn’t like , won’t accept . What does it matter what kind of person I am?"

"Lin Yue, how could you beco like this?" Ningwan said painfully.

Lin Yue laughed coldly, looking at Zhan Hanjue, "Does sister not know why I’ve beco this way? To , Ye Shao and sister are important, but what about Zhan Hanjue? He sent away when I needed warmth the most. If he cherished sister, it would be one thing, but he let sister take the child alone, struggling for four years. He’s not worthy of sister. Since he can’t give happiness to sister, why can’t it be ?"

Zhan Hanjue explained coldly, "Sending you away wasn’t entirely due to Wanwan. You were Lin Group’s sole heir, leaving you would not only be risky but might make you dependent and unable to grow. You were young and didn’t understand then, I thought you’d grow up and understand these things."

"Zhan Hanjue, don’t pretend. You know well why you did what you did back then. Not everyone can be strong like you, with no parents to rely on." Lin Yue said coldly.

"I didn’t understand those things before, thinking to grow strong, one must endure solitude and pain others can’t. If my decision back then hurt you, I apologize, I’m sorry." Zhan Hanjue said.

Lin Yue clenched his fists and roared, "I said I don’t need your pretense, you’re deliberately doing this in front of sister to make her despise more?"

"Lin Yue, whether I despise you has nothing to do with Zhan Hanjue. Even if he doesn’t apologize, I couldn’t accept you. Concerning Mrs. Cheng’s matter, you know what to do." Ningwan stopped Zhan Hanjue from further explanation, said these words, and left with Zhan Hanjue.

After they left, Lin Yue stumbled and sat on the floor.

He buried his head in his knees, painfully closing his eyes.

Wen Qi ca in and saw this scene, hurriedly asking with concern, "President Lin, what’s wrong?"

"Get out, get out." Lin Yue roared.

Wen Qi, startled, quickly left, leaving him alone in agony.

After Ningwan and Zhan Hanjue left, as soon as they exited the hotel, Ningwan staggered and fell against Zhan Hanjue.

Zhan Hanjue quickly embraced her.

"Wanwan."

"I’m fine, just dizzy." Ningwan held her forehead.

She was not just dizzy, but had a headache.

To her, Lin Yue was always like Ye Shao, a younger brother figure.

Yet that boy developed feelings for her, making her headache unbearable.

Although she firmly refused Lin Yue, in truth, she was unsure how to handle the situation.

If that boy refuses to give up and continues to entangle, she couldn’t treat him like a stranger.

Moreover, Lin Yue wasn’t just any stranger.

Everything he did seed planned and sched, she wondered if he would relent this ti.

If he doesn’t relent, she wondered if he would target Zhan Hanjue again.

"Don’t think too much, I’m not afraid of him. Besides, he’s smart, I think he’ll co to terms with it." Zhan Hanjue understood why she had a headache, comforting her.

Ningwan was helped into the car by him.

In the car, she leaned against Zhan Hanjue’s shoulder, "What if he can’t co to terms and turns dark? He even...could stoop so low, Mrs. Cheng’s matter, who knows how deep the investigation will go."

She felt she failed Miss Ke’s instructions.

Miss Ke had told her to take good care of Lin Yue, but she ended up nurturing Lin Yue into this.
