Ye Ningwan had a dream.

The car overturned in a deep ditch, emitting a piercing "sizzle" sound, and the sll of gasoline around beca increasingly strong.

The little girl shakily woke up in the woman’s arms.

The woman, showing no signs of life, gradually lost the strength in her arms that held her, releasing her grip.

The woman’s head was injured, continuously dripping blood. Drop by drop, it all dripped onto the little girl’s face.

The little girl wiped her face with a hand, feeling sticky, with a strong fishy sll, which was very uncomfortable for soone who always loved cleanliness, making her cry loudly.

Crying and shouting: "Daddy, Mommy, Daddy, Mommy."

But her parents would no longer respond to her, one having died on the spot, the other still showing signs of life but in a deep coma.

The little girl was very scared, extrely scared.

Out of fear, she cried even more heart-wrenchingly, crying and shouting "Daddy, Mommy."

"Stop crying."

Just as the girl’s throat began to hurt from crying, she suddenly heard a hoarse yet childish voice.

She imdiately stopped crying and tried hard to crawl out.

However, although the woman had released her, her little leg was pinned under the woman’s body, unable to move.

She couldn’t help but cry again, crying while shouting: "Brother, I can’t move."

"Don’t cry, pull yourself out with all your might, quickly crawl out." The older boy’s voice beca clearer.

However, she still couldn’t crawl out, and could only keep crying.

Finally, soone crawled over, it was a big brother.

His face was covered in blood, his features unclear, a bit frightening. But on this terrifying night, he was the only light she could see.

"Don’t be afraid, I’ll take you away."

The big brother reached out his hand, letting her give him her arms.

He pulled her out with force, and with her legs free, the little girl smiled happily, shouting: "I can move, I can move."

"Mommy, Daddy, Brother, save Mommy and Daddy." The little girl suddenly rembered sothing and quickly shouted to the older boy.

But the older boy, stumbling, held her tight and tried hard to leave.

Finally, he placed her on a mound of dirt far from the car, hoarsely telling her: "Don’t move, I’ll go back... to save them."

The little girl nodded in ignorance.

But the older boy had only taken a few steps when a car exploded first, with an earth-shattering "boom."

Soon after, the other car followed with an explosion.

Both were knocked unconscious by the blast.

"Phew."

Ningwan instantly opened her eyes, sitting up in shock!

Zhan Hanjue, sitting by her bedside, was startled by her reaction, frowning as he asked: "Back from the dead?"

"I had a dream," Ye Ningwan said.

But after she said it, she frowned, what did she dream about?

She couldn’t rember anything at all.

Just the final "boom" of an explosion, the blinding light reaching the sky was the last scene she saw.

It was a dream about the car accident.

Ye Ningwan anxiously looked around, her expression frantic and eager.

"What are you looking for?" Zhan Hanjue asked.

Ye Ningwan ignored him, muttering to herself: "Where did it go? Where on earth did it go?"

"Ye Ningwan."

Zhan Hanjue scolded, scaring Ye Ningwan into a start, gradually calming her down.

"What are you looking for?" Zhan Hanjue asked again, with a grim face.

Ye Ningwan said, "The docunts, the information you gave , I saw it before I fainted, where is it now?"

Zhan Hanjue remained silent with a grim expression, turning to leave.

Soon, he returned with a dossier, throwing it in front of her.

Ye Ningwan quickly opened the dossier, carefully reading the docunts inside again, but she still couldn’t rember anything.

She frustratedly tapped her head.

So useless.

She clearly dread it, the scene of the car accident must have been in the dream, how could she forget it upon waking?

"What’s up with this photo?"

Ye Ningwan was still frustrated when she suddenly noticed a photo among the pile, her expression changing dramatically.

Zhan Hanjue glanced at it, calmly saying: "If I rember correctly, the woman in the photo is your mother, Tang Xiaowan, and the other man is Lin Yuyang’s father, Lin Furui."

"I know it’s them, but why are they together?" Ye Ningwan asked.

In the photo, the man and woman were sitting in a café, warm sunlight falling on them. The man reached out, tightly holding the woman’s hands, a scene that did not look like friends, more like sothing ambiguous between lovers.

Of course, for two married people to do this, it wasn’t simply an intimacy between lovers, but infidelity.

But... impossible, her mother would never do sothing like betraying her and her father.

Even though she was young then, she still rembered how much her parents loved each other.

Her mother always tenderly looked at her father, her eyes twinkling with starlight, and her father looked back at her mother just as lovingly.

They loved each other so much, how could her mother commit infidelity, betray her father, betray the family?

And the object being her best friend’s husband.

"How would I know," Zhan Hanjue said.

"Where did this photo co from?" Ye Ningwan asked.

Zhan Hanjue said: "A reporter who specialized in taking photos of rich people’s private lives more than ten years ago, used them for blackmail."

"Who was blackmailed with this photo?" Ye Ningwan asked.

"Want to know?" Zhan Hanjue looked at her with deep eyes.

Ye Ningwan nodded, of course she wanted to know.

But she slightly averted her eyes, avoiding direct eye contact with him.

"Explain this to first, and I’ll tell you," Zhan Hanjue said, pulling out a bag and throwing it on the bed.

Ye Ningwan: "..."

She quickly opened it to find... adult products, along with the enchanting powder she requested.

"Haha, where did these co from?" Ye Ningwan laughed awkwardly.

Actually, she’d already guessed, but she asked this as a last-ditch effort.

"Wu Taotao brought them, and since you were unconscious, she gave them to to pass on to you," Zhan Hanjue smiled subtly.

Ye Ningwan gritted her teeth.

Wu Taotao, that unreliable person, how could she hand these over to Zhan Hanjue?

"Explain quickly, what are these for? Who were you planning to use them on?" Zhan Hanjue asked.

Ye Ningwan bit her lip, awkwardly trying to explain but was interrupted by Zhan Hanjue.

"Think it over first and co up with an excuse that at least won’t insult my intelligence. If you really can’t think of one, just tell the truth—leniency to those who confess and severity to those who resist is a fundantal principle that always works."

"Fine, I’ll confess for leniency. I was planning to use it on you, to make you lose your senses, then use the adult products. Since you haven’t...slept with a woman, it might be easy to fool you." Ye Ningwan said in one breath with her eyes closed.

Zhan Hanjue: "..."

His expression instantly turned dark, his face looking extrely displeased!

"Ye Ningwan, you’re sothing else," Zhan Hanjue snorted coldly, standing up to leave.

"I was wrong, I was really wrong."

Ye Ningwan imdiately jumped off the bed, hugging his waist to stop him from leaving.
