Callum read the article for a mont, his brow furrowing. It clearly stated that Edith Rosella had plagiarized a sumr outfit from a design by one of the country’s most renowned designers. Reading the negative comnts, which continued to insult Edith, even to the point of cursing, caused Callum to violently slam the dining table. He was understandably furious that soone would dare accuse his fiancée of being a bad person.

"Callum, what happened to you? Why are you so angry all of a sudden?"

Callum imdiately hugged his fiancée tightly. His right hand patting her supple back made Edith even more suspicious. Had sothing worse happened than yesterday that caused Callum to act so strange all of a sudden?

"I won’t let those people bully you anymore."

"Callum..."

Callum briefly broke the hug and then handed her his phone to show her a news article going viral on social dia. "Soone’s spreading this weird news on social dia. They’re accusing you of plagiarizing a famous designer’s sumr outfit."

As Edith read the article, which confird her designs were identical to those of the famous designer, tears stread down her cheeks. Her breathing beca increasingly labored, and her vision blurred. Luckily, her fiancé held her tightly before she nearly collapsed to the floor.

"Callum... I’ve never plagiarized anyone else’s work. I’ve always produced my work through my own hard work."

"I know. If you were really plagiarizing soone else’s designs, I wouldn’t have trusted you in the first place." His right hand slowly stroked his fiancée’s head. "Actually, I know soone is deliberately trying to ruin your fashion show."

After a mont, Edith slowly released the hug and lowered her head. "So you know about the problem I was having yesterday. That’s why you suddenly acted strange last night."

"Sorry, I didn’t an to fool you. I asked Patrick to investigate this secretly. He heard about this from one of your employees."

"Are you actually angry because I intended to keep this matter a secret from you?"

"No. I know you don’t want to tell about this because you don’t want involved in your problems anymore." His right thumb briefly wiped her wet eyelid. "If you don’t want involved, I’ll do what you want."

"You won’t scold for acting like I don’t trust you?"

Callum laughed awkwardly, tilting his head up to face his fiancée. "Why would I be angry? I don’t want you to stress over this. But if this gets any bigger, I won’t let you handle it all on your own."

"I don’t want your reputation to be ruined because of ."

"I don’t care."

"But, lately everyone has been supporting you, I don’t like seeing you dragged into my problems just because I’m your fiancé."

"Edith, if I didn’t want my reputation ruined, why would I want to marry you?"

"Callum..."

"I want us to get through this together. I hate seeing you cry alone." Callum gripped his fiancée’s hands tightly. "I might not help you directly, but I’ll send so guards to tighten security at your boutique. For now, the twins are in my care."

"Even though you’ve been busy lately."

"I can still manage my ti. Rather, we should resolve your problem first."

The plagiarism issue escalated into the afternoon. Arabella even took the initiative to visit the hotel to talk to her friend, who was currently facing a big problem. Although they were once enemies, Arabella couldn’t control her anger at seeing her best friend being suddenly bullied in the midst of preparations for an important event.

She slamd the table violently, startling Edith and Callum. "They’re absolutely insolent!"

"Can you control your anger? Do you want to break my table?" Callum grumbled, crossing his arms.

Arabella looked at her best friend with pity, gripping her hands tightly. "Even though we used to be enemies, I don’t want those people to bully you now."

Edith laughed awkwardly at the unusual remark her own enemy had made. "I’m still not used to you openly defending ."

"Of course I’ll defend you because I don’t want your event to fail. If necessary, I’ll go to all the agencies I know one by one to ask you to collaborate."

"It won’t be easy to ask them to collaborate. Especially since the news report alleges I plagiarized the work of a famous designer."

"This can’t be allowed! If it goes on like this, you’re dood. Do you want the event you’ve been planning for so long to end up in failure because of this fake news?"

"No. I still don’t want to give up because I have to clear up all these misunderstandings."

Arabella snapped her fingers for a mont. "I know soone who can help you right now."

Callum furrowed his brows, crossing his arms. "You’re probably going to ask your beloved boyfriend for help!"

"Yes, he and I can work together. I tracked down the reporter with the help of my dia contacts. anwhile, he’s tasked with catching the perpetrator who spread this hoax news."

"Thank goodness you want to help us."

"But what about the models in the fashion show? I’m sure no one will want to work with because I committed a cri."

"I’ll do it," Callum replied so casually that Edith’s eyes widened.

"What?"

Arabella smiled reassuringly, patting her best friend on the shoulder. "I’ll do it too. But don’t worry, I have no intentions of harming Callum."

"You guys didn’t have to help this far." Edith lowered her head, staring at her nails. "I feel bad for you guys."

Callum imdiately put his arm around his fiancée’s shoulders affectionately. "That’s what having as your fiancé is all about. I won’t let you solve this problem alone."

"That’s what having as your best friend is all about, Edith."

At first, Edith was sobbing, but now she can smile confidently at her best friend and fiancé. "Now I’m even more determined to catch the perpetrator who dared to slander ."
