Callum held a press conference regarding the situation at King’s Group, which is currently in turmoil due to the chairman’s involvent in a murder case five years ago. Investors protested because the group’s stock price had plumted, and King’s Group was threatened with bankruptcy due to this issue. Therefore, Callum wanted to resolve the company’s problems as quickly as possible.

Before attending the press conference, which will be held at the King’s Hotel, Callum attended an ergency board eting at the King’s Group building. Although the chairman position is vacant, he will not be taking his father’s seat because he doesn’t want the position.

"What do we do now? If this continues, the King’s Group won’t be saved!" complained a middle-aged man sitting opposite Callum.

"Indeed, we cannot avoid a situation like this because the previous chairman caused big problems."

"Callum, did you know that it was actually your father who had been hiding the accident you had five years ago?" asked another middle-aged man.

Callum smiled faintly as he looked around at everyone in the room. "Actually, I know. But I didn’t want to reveal it too soon because it would be too risky for us. Besides, if I did it any sooner, the company’s situation would be even more precarious."

"Since you’re the only person we’ve been able to rely on all this ti, how about you take over for your father for a while?" suggested the middle-aged man sitting opposite Callum.

"No. My purpose in calling an ergency eting in this situation isn’t to seek the position. Rather, I want to resign from my position."

"What?!" everyone shouted in unison.

"So, you’re going to run away from this situation?"

"You should also be responsible for solving this problem."

"Yes, I still want to take responsibility, but I’ll do so at the press conference. Before that, I want to introduce you to soone."

At the sa ti, the eting room door swung open. A middle-aged woman entered, accompanied by her assistant. Callum imdiately bowed his head respectfully, followed by everyone else in the room. Everyone reacted with excitent, discussing the woman, who had just entered the room for the first ti.

Callum imdiately walked over to the middle-aged woman and extended his right hand. "Thank you for keeping your promise, Auntie."

"Of course. It’s an honor for to be here. I’ve been wanting to set foot in this room for a long ti."

"Wait a minute! Callum, could it be that you’ve chosen Patricia as the new chairman of King’s Group?" asked one of the board mbers.

"Yes, she’s our current president. While I haven’t discussed this with you, Mrs. Patricia is trustworthy in managing the company, and she’s very familiar with the company’s situation."

Patricia bowed her head respectfully to all the mbers of the board of commissioners in the room. "Most of you probably know already, as I’m Kevin’s younger sister. Since Kevin is no longer able to manage the company, I will now take over. I hope we can work together well in the future."

Everyone applauded enthusiastically at the new group chairman. Callum was relieved to see him, as he no longer had to worry about the King’s Group’s well-being, and Patricia was incredibly resourceful at quickly resolving problems. Patricia had always been promised the chairmanship, but it ultimately fell through because Kevin bribed most of the board mbers to vote against her.

After bidding farewell to all the board mbers at the ergency eting, Callum now heads to his hotel to attend the press conference at the venue. Callum walks into the venue, accompanied by Patrick to protect him from the onslaught of reporters. As he ascends the stage, Callum briefly glances at his fiancée, who is watching him from the VIP seats. Callum had purposely reserved these seats for the woman he loves.

Callum bowed his head respectfully. "Thank you for taking the ti to attend today’s press conference."

"Mr. Callum, can you explain to us what really happened? How could your father have been involved in the accident you were in five years ago?"

Callum stared at all the reporters with a focused gaze. "Actually, if I told you everything, it would take quite a while. What’s certain is that my father was involved in the accident. However, his job was simply to cover up Yvette’s cris."

"Then, what about King’s Group? Will you be taking the position of chairman?"

"I just held an ergency eting with the board of commissioners. I deliberately held it behind closed doors because I wanted to share my plans with you now." His lips pressed together as he stared at his fiancée. "I’m resigning from my position at King’s Group."

The reporters imdiately caused a commotion inside the venue and recorded what Callum had said earlier.

"I didn’t want that position from the start. Even though it seed like it would be great for my career, I didn’t want it."

"Is it because you want to escape from this unfavorable situation?"

"No. I’m not that type of person. In fact, I resigned because I prioritize my family. Honestly, since I started working there, I haven’t had ti to spend with them. So far, whenever I work, I always think about my family’s situation."

Edith heard the statent so directly that her eyes welled up with tears. She montarily wiped her wet eyelids with a handkerchief. "I’ve always supported your decisions, Callum. Do what you want."

"By the way, who will replace Mr. Kevin now?" asked one of the reporters wearing glasses.

"Mrs. Patricia is my father’s sister. She’s truly the most reliable when it cos to running the company. You don’t need to worry about her. Regarding the group’s issues, she’s already devised a strategy to quickly resolve them."

Callum bowed his head respectfully for a few seconds. "Once again, I would like to apologize on behalf of King’s Group for this inconvenience. I hope King’s Group continues to thrive under Mrs. Patricia’s leadership."

"So, what are you planning to do now, Mr. Callum?"
