Jas still wasn’t satisfied with his conversation with Arabella regarding this matter. Moreover, Arabella was willing to risk her life to obtain evidence in Cliff’s private office. Therefore, he now invited Arabella to continue their conversation in the backyard of this luxurious residence. Since they couldn’t see each other as much as they wanted, now every ti they wanted to et, they had to hide.
Arabella was still in awe of the charisma her ex-lover had been exuding. If only she hadn’t wanted to end their relationship, she was sure they would be living happily now, and she wouldn’t have to be involved in any of his evil deeds anymore.
"Do you still want to scold ?" Arabella looked away while folding her arms.
"Yes, actually I’m still angry."
Arabella laughed awkwardly, sighing. "I still don’t understand what you’re thinking, Jas. I want to do what I want, but you’re stopping ."
"Because you’re pregnant. Do you still not understand what I said yesterday?"
"I understand. But if you keep stopping from doing it, I won’t consider you my friend anymore."
"Then, what do you want to think of as? Your enemy?"
"My lover."
That intense gaze instantly made his heart race. Jas imdiately touched his chest as he turned around.
anwhile, Arabella showed a wide smile, as she had expected Jas to instantly lt at her words. However, Jas hadn’t dared to openly show it, having always been in love. Even though they hadn’t been in touch for a long ti, she still knew him intimately.
"Jas, why don’t you look at ?"
"I’m angry right now."
"Are you angry because of my last words? I think of you as my lover?"
Finally, Jas turned around and glared at his ex-girlfriend. "I’m angry that you acted recklessly in a dangerous situation like this."
"Is it because you actually still like ?"
"I won’t answer your question because I want you to realize it for yourself. It’s impossible for you and I to get back together."
Arabella gripped her ex-lover’s hand tightly. "Even though you say that now, I won’t be angry with you, because our relationship seems like it was my fault. But if you ever want to co back to , I’m still waiting for you."
Jas really wanted their relationship to go back to the way it was. He missed seeing Arabella’s smile, which always brought him back to life. However, would both families approve of their relationship? That’s what still makes him doubtful.
"If you want to sneak into Cliff’s room, I’ll co with you."
Arabella’s eyes widened and her mouth dropped open. "Really? You’d go this far? And what if we get caught?"
"Don’t worry. I have a tool that can erase our tracks from CCTV footage."
"A forr secret agent is indeed reliable." Arabella gave two thumbs up enthusiastically.

anwhile, Callum and Edith were still relaxing in the living room with their twins. Edith didn’t want to sit idly by while Arabella was about to carry out her secret mission. However, would Callum allow her to undertake such a dangerous mission? Edith was still worried that sothing might happen to Arabella if she went on this mission alone.
"Callum, there’s actually sothing else I wanted to ask you."
"Do you really want to accompany Arabella?"
Edith coughed, choking on her fiancé’s accurate guess. She admitted that her fiancé had always been able to read her mind. That was why she didn’t want to marry another man.
Callum laughed softly, handing his fiancée a glass of water. "I knew you wanted to ask that."
"As usual, you have always been able to read my mind."
"I could already guess since you kept forbidding Arabella from doing it. So without you asking directly, I already knew your true intentions."
"I’m just worried, actually. Everyone’s involved because of . It’s my personal problem, but why should they interfere? I know Arabella did it for revenge, too, but I think this is overkill."
"I think Arabella went this far because she still feels guilty towards us. She’s hurt us so much and even wanted to take you away from ."
"Seeing that she had a similar fate to mine, I felt sorry for her. I still don’t want to forgive her, but what Cliff did to her was cruel."
"So, now you’re going to help her too?"
Edith nodded. "She’s a woman, there’s no way she could have done it alone."
"No need to bother, Edith. Arabella and I want to do it together."
This pair of friends suddenly re-entered the living room, making the house owner a little surprised.
Edith’s reaction was a slight smile, relieved to see Jas taking the initiative to help Arabella on this dangerous mission. This way, Arabella wouldn’t have to worry too much. Furthermore, seeing Jas’s incredibly sweet attitude toward Arabella, she was confident the pair would rekindle their relationship.
"Thank goodness you want to help her, Jas."
"Because I have a tool that can erase CCTV footage. Have you forgotten?"
"Then what about you, Arabella? Do you agree with Jas protecting you?"
Arabella nodded. "The only bodyguard I can rely on is Jas. I don’t want to bother you two too. Besides, Jas is very experienced in this matter."
Edith hugged Arabella tightly, making Arabella stand stiffly.
"Edith, what’s wrong with you?" Arabella asked nervously.
"It’s okay. I just wanted to thank you."
Arabella montarily broke the hug. "I should be the one thanking you for giving another chance."
"Of course because you are a victim too."

Suddenly, her phone vibrated in the middle of her conversation with her new friend. Edith took it out and answered the call. It was her stepsister. She waved her left hand, signaling everyone to be quiet.
"Edith, are you busy today?"
"No. What’s wrong?"
"I want to invite you to play tennis today. Would you like to?"
For a mont, Edith stared at her fiancé with a serious look. "I can."
"Okay, we will et on the field as usual."
