"Does this price work for you?" Chen Yiyang asked Carlos, "I feel like this price is sowhat too cheap."

"Don't worry, it's absolutely fine." Carlos initially wanted to say sothing.

But after glancing around and realizing there were too many people present, he decided not to say much, instead giving Chen Yiyang a contact detail, indicating they should connect later.

After seeing off Carlos and little Marco,

Chen Yiyang and Schaefer t many high-profile European figures.

As the celebration banquet neared its end, Chen Yiyang was about ready to leave with Schaefer.

Just then, an old man with the deanor of a British gentleman walked up to them.

"Mr. Schaefer, long ti no see."

"You're Mr. McComick." After so consideration, Schaefer finally recognized the old man.

"Yes," McComick acknowledged his identity with a smile.

"Long ti no see," Schaefer's face suddenly lit up with a smile.

Then he introduced McComick to Chen Yiyang, "This is Mr. McComick, owner of an explosives detector company, specializing in the Moore Detector, which is well-known internationally."

After introducing McComick, Schaefer introduced Chen Yiyang's identity to McComick.

However, it was evident Schaefer and McComick weren't particularly close, so he simply ntioned Chen Yiyang as his partner in Huaxia.

"Yes, I've heard you've been doing quite a bit of business in Huaxia in recent years, you're getting more impressive by the day, managing to grow your business there."

Clearly, McComick had sothing he wanted to discuss with Schaefer.

So he invited Schaefer, "I recently bought a house in Paris, would you like to co over for a drink?"

Upon hearing the invitation, Schaefer looked at Chen Yiyang, asking if he wanted to go.

Chen Yiyang, having no other commitnts in Paris, decided to accept the invitation.

He was quite curious about what kind of business McComick intended to pursue with Schaefer in Huaxia.

Upon arriving at McComick's apartnt, McComick poured a drink for the two.

"Here's the situation." At the apartnt, McComick revealed the reason for inviting Schaefer.

"As you know, my company specializes in the Moore Detector, an explosion detector known for its high accuracy and practicality.

Although the detector is slightly expensive, it is widely used in countries like Iraq, Georgia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Huaxia, Niger, and others, wherever there's a potential for terrorist attacks."

After he finished speaking, McComick made sure to look at Chen Yiyang,

"Especially during the Olympics in Huaxia, our company sold a large number of Moore Detectors there."

As McComick spoke, Chen Yiyang checked the relevant data.

Not knowing the old man before, Chen Yiyang was wary of being deceived, so he verified the information right there.

If there was any discrepancy, he would inquire on the spot.

But after investigating, he found that what McComick said was true.

The sale of Moore Detectors during the Olympics was even featured in the news as a significant technological achievent for igniting the Olympic fla.

Apart from the Olympics, Shancheng also purchased over three thousand Moore Detectors from the United Kingdom over a decade ago for security inspections in high-security urban areas.

The unit price of a Moore Detector was as high as 2,700 pounds, undeniably expensive.

"So, how do you propose we collaborate?" Schaefer asked McComick.

"I believe that Huaxia will be a very important market for our company in the future.

However, I think blindly expanding could make company managent challenging.

So, I'm not planning to establish a dedicated branch in Huaxia.

I've heard from so friends that you have strong connections in Huaxia, so I'm hoping you can help find a partner to sell our products there."

McComick's proposal seed reasonable.

Many companies focusing on a single business line are reluctant to expand unnecessarily.

Especially niche companies like these.

Their business is very stable, and expanding won't significantly increase revenue.

It's simpler to find partners who can handle the market's complexity.

"What sort of partner do you want, and what are the conditions for collaboration?"

At this point, Chen Yiyang jumped in.

He was actually quite interested in this business.

It wasn't because he thought he could make significant money in the niche market of explosion detectors.

He saw potential in building connections with many special institutions dostically through this company.

"The external price for the Moore Detector is 2,800 pounds each, which doesn't cover training and after-sales expenses.

Previously, we sold a system in Huaxia for roughly 200,000.

Here, let's assu the selling price per set of Moore Detectors is 150,000.

Therefore, we offer partners each set at 120,000; partners procure from at 120,000, and how much they sell the detectors for afterwards is up to them."

McComick's collaboration thod, though straightforward and blunt, was enticing.

Not to ntion that Moore Detectors used to sell for over 200,000 in Huaxia.

At 150,000 each, partners could earn 30,000 per sale.

Even after accounting for nurous public relations costs, the profit is considerable.

Chen Yiyang was inclined to secure the agency deal.

However, he asked further,

"If I wanted to beco your company's partner, could I first visit your company to see the products?"

"No problem." McComick agreed imdiately; their company happened to have a branch in Paris, and he could take Chen Yiyang to see their finished products.

After the drinks, Chen Yiyang and Schaefer left McComick's place and headed straight to their hotel.

At the hotel, Chen Yiyang asked Schaefer,

"Do you think McComick's proposal is reliable?"

"Logically, it seems fine," Schaefer replied, "but based on my years of experience in Europe, that old man seems a little suspicious."

"What kind of suspicion?" Chen Yiyang curiously inquired.

"I can't say for sure, without reason. But he reminds a lot of those well-disguised con artists I've encountered before.

You know, Europe is full of them. And many are very familiar with high society, exceptionally well-camouflaged, making it hard for an average person to see through them.

These people always pretend to be generous, treating money like dirt, unaffected by trivial gains.

But, that in itself is the biggest problem!"

"How so?" Chen Yiyang asked.

"Because truly successful businessn in Europe are ticulous to the last detail, frighteningly shrewd.

Those overly generous to partners, indifferent to minor profits, generally turn out to be con artists."
