Chapter 12: Cain – Part 2
Cain replied nonchalantly, “If you break the vow, the Beast God will punish you!”
Su Tang felt angry and anxious.
She was angry that Cain made a vow out of the blue and was anxious that he might bla her when the gods punished him one day!
“Don’t randomly make vows to the Beast God from now on, got it?”
Cain looked at Su Tang calmly without answering.
Was she worried about him? It felt rather good when soone showed concern over him!
Su Tang looked anxious. “Did you hear ?”
Cain nodded. “Yeah. Got it!”
He took everything about Su Tang seriously!
Su Tang finally heaved a sigh of relief.
…
“Healer! I’m here with your water.”
A voice could be heard before soone entered the cave.
Yuanyuan ca in with a leaf filled with clean water.
“Drink up. I will get you more when you’re done!”
Su Tang reached her hand out to take the leaf, but Yuanyuan dodged her.
“Healer, the leaf is tricky to hold. Let hold it for you to drink!”.
Su Tang had no choice but to gently hold the edge of the leaf while she took sips of water.
Cain was particularly angry. “Yuanyuan, have you forgotten what I told you at the stream?”
Yuanyuan looked at him with her big bright eyes innocently. She honestly could not rember what the chief had said.
Coldness started radiating from Cain as he spoke in an angry tone. “You were supposed to hide the fact that she was the one who saved ng Zi. Are you trying to broadcast it to the entire tribe by calling her Healer so loudly?”
Yuanyuan instantly realized her mistake!
She apologized, “My mistake, Chief. I was too excited when I saw Healer… I an Tangtang!”
Cain’s voice sounded stiff like an emotionless machine. “Don’t do it again! Leave!”
Yuanyuan happily left the cave with the water when she heard his order.
Su Tang felt awful. All she wanted was to drink a few more sips of water…
A look of desperation erged on her face.
Cain turned to look at Su Tang and said in a gentler tone, “Eat up before it turns cold. Just take a bite for now. I will make you more tonight!”
Su Tang waved her hand hurriedly. “It’s fine. I can’t even finish this as it is, so don’t bother making more!”
Cain could not help frowning. “You have to eat more at. You are simply too skinny!”
Su Tang lowered her head to eat quietly. She had a generation gap with the people here. No one appreciated the slender body that she worked so hard to maintain!

Su Tang ate one more piece of at before she stopped!
The roast at was tasteless and greasy. Despite how fresh the at was, it could not change the fact that it tasted awful!
“That’s all?”
Su Tang nodded and patted her belly to indicate that she was full!
Cain frowned. He abruptly pulled Su Tang into his arms and placed his hand on her stomach.
Su Tang’s face blushed for the nth ti!
“W-what are you doing?”
Just as Su Tang was about to retaliate with her tiny fists, Cain let go of her!
On account that he was a national protected animal, Su Tang decided to let him off!
“You barely ate anything. You need to eat more at. Otherwise, you won’t be able to make it past the cold season!”
Cain looked as though Su Tang would instantly die if she did not eat at. Su Tang genuinely felt exhausted from explaining herself.
She picked up the fruit on the leaf and cleaned it on her doctor’s robe before she ate it to get rid of the greasy taste in her mouth.
However, Cain unexpectedly reached his hand out to stop her.
