Sydney finally permitted Ray to get out of the house after a whole ten days rest. He had recovered really well and he had returned to his pri state, this ti, he didn’t bother to cover himself with a cloak and let his outstanding features on display.
With his captivating ocean blue eyes, he looked at Sydney who was accompanying him through the city.
In the end, he had chosen to take Enzo’s advice but before he could get a chance to act upon it, they were called over to Lord storm’s castle by the Queen.
Not only was Ray following along, even her other mates weren’t reserved and went along to protect her as anything could happen!
Arriving at the entrance of tje stone castle, the guards there looked at Sydney and her group before sending one off to report their arrival.
Since Lord storm’s family was quite big, the stone castle was occupied by only them.
And so, a good number of Ray’s brothers noticed him bringing about a huge clamour as they surrounded them.
Isn’t that Raymond?!" One asked.
He’s the one!!! No mistake!!!"
I actually almost didn’t notice him! I can’t sense his beast."

The guard who had entered returned with the permission form the queen to allow them into the castle. They were led through all the way to the backyard where the Queen was currently relaxing with her other mates attending to her, offering company.
When she saw Sydney, her eyes couldn’t help carrying a glint but she hide it away imdiately and smiled at her.
Co." She made with her hand as a gesture for Sydney to go over but when her eyes swept through her mates, her gaze froze and eyes widened.
You...." She had completely lost her composure as she locked gazes with Ray.
Ray looked away. He had not much affections for this mother of his! How could he be able to garner her attention and affection? With the number of males she had and the children she birthed every season, he was among the most insignificant. The only one who had loved him dearly was his father who died long ago. So looking at his mother now was like looking at a stranger.
You are Raymond, right?!" Her voice was currently shaking. This boy looked so much like her dead mate! If not for how young he was, she’d definitely believe it was him when she first saw him!!!
Ray didn’t answer.
Sydney looked at Ray’s mother and smiled. The Queen called for ..." She said to draw the queen’s attention to herself.
Ah..yes...co here." She said shooing her mates to go stand at a distance.
Sydney didn’t know her intentions and so, she chose to co here and hear what she heard to say.
You are such a beautiful female." She said softly her hand going over to caress Sydney’s face but Sydney didn’t allow her as she drew her face away. They weren’t so close after all.
The queen’s hand hang mid air awkwardly before she took it back and laughed harmlessly. I called you because I saw you fight so days back. As a treasured female of our city, my heart pained for you alot." She begun her words sounding so sincere but her gaze not. She was still mad at being embrassed.
Oh. I’m fine. I was just playing." Sydney replied with a smile.
Females dont play like that! If you want to play, why not co to my castle? A good number of females gather here from ti to ti."
Sydney offered a polite smile but tactfully refused. I prefer being with my mates."
Oh..then you must love them alot! But it’s a bit sad...you have few of them. Haven’t you thought of taking in so more?" She asked eyeing Sydney’s mates who were on the sidelines. "You see, males from our city are inherently strong!!! They are no longer graded in ranks but levels, that far surpasses tenth ranked beastn."
Oh..so this is the reason.. Sydney thought to herself as she looked at the Queen.
I have a few sons that are strong, you can boose from among them, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed." She said with an amiable smile.
It’s bad to be too greedy." Sydney said after a mont’s of silence. What I havw now is already too much for , if I’m to take in more, they just burden in the long run." She reasoned.
Burden? Why do you think so?" She said her face trying to maintain a smile but her expression turning ugly.
Because I won’t be able to love them all. That’s why they’ll turn out as a burden and besides, what purpose will they have for ? My current mates are already good enough."

You see, we are not from this place, our ho is far far away from here but because of unforseen circumstances, our ho was destroyed and a great number of females were lost. You know how the number of females represents the strength of a clan or city right?"

When that disaster befell us, no one was ready. The ground was wiggling and it swallowed up very many beastn and females inclusive. Those that had flying beastn were lucky enough to fly but the fires erupting from the ground also didn’t leave them a chance of escape, it was a very scary scene. You might not have seen it that’s why you might not feel the weight of loosing your sisters and friends, but let tell you only those females that were blessed with great numbers of males to protect them were the ones that survived. In this world, it’s all about survival and for that to exist, the numbers of females must not fall.

Lazin yelled at the top of her lungs almost flying off her chair to get that stupid letter and rip it to pieces but one look at her guard, she settled back down in her seat and imdiately apologised. Lazio on the other hand had seen how his sister behaved when she got the stern look from her bodyguard. She behaved like a girl in love not wanting to disappoint her lover. To the normal eye, it’d look like she was trying to be well behaved in fear of her guard but ever since that night she went missing and was returned the next morning by her personal knight, she had been less wilful, and would blush every ti she looked at him, shy away and act all coy with him. He didn’t want his sister to think that she could get into a romantic relationship with her guard....that was out of the laws!Lazio hid behind a pillar and strained his hearing to catch on what his little sister had to say to her guard.

I’m going to go...just...I...there was sothing I wanted to tell you." she stamred for the first ti and looked at him only to divert her eyes imdiately. Her palms were sweaty and her heart was pounding real hard, she was afraid he’d hear it.

Do you like ?" she asked looking him in the eyes only to look into dark cold blue eyes daring her to open her mouth and say another word.

He looked at her teary eyes still emotionless then strained and heard the slowly retreating steps but he knew whoever was there hadn’t left. He turned away and left Lazin to herself.
Ian! don’t walk away while I’m still talking to you!" she yelled. No, wait, I’m sorry....please don’t ...don’t leave! Ian....I really like you....tell you like back!!! Ian!!!" she yelled out to him but the man kept walking off not turning to look at her
