Sydney integrated fully with the females amd when night ca, at was delivered to them by Keeler. He didn’t go back and imdiately sat his body down as he had to talk to them.
"You have made friends with many females in a single day..." Keeler praised. It doesn’t happen often and it was new experience for and the others." He was genuinely happy. He and the mbers of the horned beast were riddled with worries over their safety day in and day out. Most had even forgotten how to laugh.
"They are good females. I’d definitely love to make friends with them and I also enjoyed interacting with them." Sydney said simply and chewed on a piece of cabbage. She has indeed made so friends.

Keeler sighed heavily. "Let tell you a story." Keeler said and looked off far into the distance. "Long long ago, there was a united family if beasts ruling these lands, peace prevailed and our lands prospered for tens of thousands of years. However, everything has a reason for its existence and so was that peace. So beasts weren’t satisfied with the equality and hoped to rule over these lands and with that, they ventured far and wide, to discover what caused this peace. By chance, if it was destroyed, then balance would break.
After searching far and wide, what is believed to be the source of the balance was discovered and what awaited it’s fate was destruction!
Once it was shattered, nature fell out of balance, our land that was one shattered as well, death befell millions of innocent lives. The good fough against the bad but the evil nature of beasts couldn’t he restrained in a ti of chaos.
As the chaos raged on, the losses couldn’t be ignored and both sides each agreed to co to a truce and each took their own path.
One group beca the spirit beasts and the other beca beastn. As for who was good or bad, no one knows which of them is." Keeler narrated.

Sydney was confused. "Mind explaining better? I don’t think we need to end up in a fight." She said her hand pressing on Ken who was close to jumping on the horse and biting it’s neck.
I intended to do so." Keeler didn’t mind their aggressive nature. "Right after out territory, there’s another of horned horses like us but they feed on at, just like the hound rabbits you just escaped. That group, they broke from us a long ti ago and now are the hound horned Beasts that only know blood and battle."

"I have no idea. But all I know is that one bite from them is enough to turn another into a hound. Many of us were turned and the assault only ended after their numbers surpassed ours and right now, we are hardly holding on." Keeler’s face was filled with worry.
I was bitten by a hound rabbit." Shawn muttered and imdiately looked onto his body. Worry flashed on his face. Does that an he’ll also turn into a hound!?

I know they had designs on Sydney!!!" Ken was livid as he imdiately shifted into his beast form growling nacingly at Keeler.
The horned beast guards that were close imdiately galloped over their eyes sharp with strong battle intent sipping from their bodies.
Calm down." Keeler wasn’t surprised with their actions. You go back and keep guard." He said blankly to the guards.
They naturally wanted to argue that these were outsiders but his single glance told them to imdiately disperse.
Core." Sydney’s mind resonated with that one word. She frowned because every single word that Keeler said made sense to her sohow, not entirely but it definitely did.
Please calm down and listen to . This is a chance you’ll not encounter again and you’ll only walk off to your deaths. So hear out and take out whats important for you and your journey. Spirit beasts have a much greater perception of the core than you beastn. So no matter where you go, as long as you encounter a spirit beast clan, you’ll be hunted down and I’m sure that’s not what you want. At this mont, none of you have the ability to outwit them, nor beat them, if you happen to escape one, news of the core will spread to another clan. Except for Ray and Ash, the others are useless." Keeler spoke seriously and everyone shut up. "How do you think we knew of your arrival!? A panther clan has already spread the news and many will co to take Cora away."
"Those damn beasts!!!" Ken hissed.
"We should have killed them!" Ray was also in agreent but at that ti they had no idea about all this.
"Cora, where is your other mate? The one on your neck?" Keeler asked his eyes pausing over Titan’s mark.
"He’s sowhere." Sydney replied vaguely her hand covered her mark from Keeler’s penetrating gaze.
"I feel he’s the only one strong enough to help you traverse these lands unhindered." Keeler said plainly. "And the further you go, the worse the spirit beasts you’ll encounter. On our side, we are considered the weakest of the spirit beasts. Stronger and stranger ones are going to appear on the way and they’ll all be going for her.

Why are they after her? I understand that she’s the core but what’s her importance to them?" Ash asked.
The spirit beast forest has a barrier and only those with a shred of the core would not be able to enter.
Where’s this spirit forest?" Ray asked.
It’s not on this continent. Our ancestors were kicked out from the spirit forest many years ago and us their descendants need a piece of the core. That way, we can find our way there through its guidance
