The next morning.

An anxious Sydney ran trying to follow the traces that Titan had left to see if she could say goodbye to him in a proper manner.

Her mates helplessly followed after her but didn’t get close. She was extrely displeased with them for not waking her up when he left.

When she reached the city walls, his traces were masked by the scents of thousands of different type beastn residing outside the city but that didn’t discourage her.

Let out!" She called out to the ape guards at the gate.

Hearing a female’s voice, they subconsciously turned to see her and their jaws dropped. No one in the city wasn’t familiar with Sydney. Though not all had seen her, many had heard alot about her but this was far different from what they heard! Her beauty left their hearts clamouring enviously.

I said let out." She repeated herself seeing the dazed males.

They ca back from their stupor and didn’t know what to say. "We.... Female...we can’t let you out of the city. It’s dangerous!" One gorilla cautioned. He was in his beast form and feared he’d scare her away so he made his voice as soft as possible.

Sydney felt the resolute firmness in the male’s voice and she bit her lip. "My mate just went out of the city! I want to go find him before he’s gone too far. You can’t stop !" She persisted.

The gorilla was confused on what to do but his saving grace arrived on ti.

"Sydney!" Ash called out but she ignored him her forest green eyes locked on the poor guy whose heart was weavering with each breathe.

Sydney...it’s indeed dangerous outside right now. Don’t be willful, okay?!" Ken also tired to persuade her. "Titan is already strong enough to protect himself. He’ll be fine!"

Sydney didn’t react to his words. "Are you doing it or do I need to do it myself?!" She asked the ape.

He almost cried. This is clearly a family conflict! Why drag into this!!!

Caden stepped forward and went to her side. "I understand you...."

"If you understood then you wouldn’t have let him go on his own! He’s sick! He needs his family at a ti like this but what did you guys do?! You let him wander around on his own!" She yelled at Caden imdiately silencing him.

I’m sorry!" He whispered guilty. He was well aware how sensitive she was towards her family. He had failed her but he also had consider her safety.

Sydney looked at him before looking at the city guards.

"I’ll go look for him Sydney. How about that?!" Ray stepped up to speak. "I’ve lived outside the city and I’m good at tracking others down. Let go!" He suggested.

"You were unable to stop him from leaving! How sure am I that you’ll be able to bring him back?! I don’t need you to intervene in my family matters, I’ll do it myself." Her voice was icy chilling all hearts of those present.

"You can’t!" Ken wouldn’t let that happen!

"Let see who dares to stop ." Her voice was resolute and Ray could only hang his head. He had wanted to stop him last night but he didn’t. He was being selfish and wanted him to leave but he didn’t know it’d escalate to this.

Then we will go with you." Ash said with finality.

City lord!"

Ash you can’t!"

How about the city??"

Cries of protest rang out.

I’m leaving the powers to govern to my brother in law. He is capable enough, right?" He said his face void of any emotion shutting up the cries of protest.

Sydney turned to head back ho and didn’t let her mates carry her over. She had run here as soon as she heard that he had left and she was still in her pjs. Her eyes were no longer drowsy as they held determination to forsee this matter to its end. How dare he leave a re ring?! She’d teach him a lesson when they t!

She walked with an icy countance not bothering about the dazed males she walked past. If not for the chills she left behind, the line of males following her would have reached the city gate.

Her thumb stroked the golden scaly ring on her finger in deep thought.

"Excuse us!" An elder called out to the group of three that had walked ahead of the group showing no signs of stopping at all.

The three stopped with frowns. Not many dared to call out to them.

"Greetings!" The elder greeted with a sheepish smile. "My na is Roger and I’m headed for the city of beasts. Is it the sa for you?"

Yes and no." The one with a hoarse voice replied. They weren’t sure either.

Haha...I happen to know a secret passage. and my wife are going to take that path...would you like to co with us? If you plan to follow after the other migrants, you’ll only end up at the side of the death valley." He explained.

What’s your purpose?" The other asked his aura getting deadly.

Haha ..don’t get worked up. Just that...I’m alone with my wife. If I go alone, my wife would be snatched from ." He replied honestly.

There are bigger clans. Why not join them?"

They want my sweety to mate with their clansn! Humph! I can’t allow such a thing! I dont share!" The elder had his nose high in the sky!

Then why approach us? We are much worse than those clans." Another was rather interested in this old man.

It’s clear that you already have you mate! Even if the scent is faint, I can sll it. There’s no need to worry about it." He said proudly.

However the three were frozen in their place. Scent of their mate on them?! That only happened if one still had a mate who was alive! But there’s had died before their eyes! Hope glimred in their eyes.

"Are you sure?" The one with a horse voice asked feeling it was impossible. How many years had it been?! He was neither a stray bor a mated one. It had been many decades and the scent of his female had already been eroded off his body by ti.

"Of course! How dare I lie to you? You know that not all beasts have this ability right?!"

Hearing his words, they were surprised. "You are a panther?" Another asked carefully.

"Seems like you aren’t that bad!" He nodded his head approvingly.

What scent is it?" Another asked his heart thumping wildly in his chest like it’d jump out anyti.

The old man sniffed a little. "It’s faint now but it’s traces of the forest, cool, calming, healing....mmmm and it’s milky?" He cocked his head to the side in contemplation.

However his nonchalant words made the three n tear up. The first points were common but it was only one person with a milky trait to their scent. It was only one! Their beloved mate!

"Eh? Why are you three crying? Are you trying to get beaten up? I’m old okay! If you don’t want to help just say so! Why make it seem like I bullied you!" He begun rumbling while stepping away from the group. He couldn’t afford being beaten, okay!

There’s really hope!" The one with the hoarse voice spoke with a warmth to his voice. Naturally, only mates would be able to detect sothing like their female’s scent and the unique attributes to her scent were the ones specially left for their mates. How many decades had gone by without having a whiff of that unique scent?! Even themselves at the mont couldn’t notice it that’s why they had been really skeptical. Their female loved milk! It was a trait she had for herself and it was funny enough for it to be infused in her scent.

Belfrettje poor old guy could get a chance to escape, he was kidnapped by the group of three.

If he had known earlier, he should have learnt not to poke his nose in others business much less ignite hope of beasts that were in the verge of collapse.

Titan made his way out of the city of beasts in a breathes ti. However, his body felt weak at the mont and he was flushed from the rising temperature of his body.

He died his and to support himself against a tree as his blurry eyes scanned the surroundings. He let out a hiss and a group of snake scurried over.

When they saw his stare, they imdiately led him all the way to the nearest stream so that he could cook down. They worried that it was because of the heat and this form of heat could easily kill any snake. To them, he was an almighty that they didn’t wish for their clan to loose.

It took them thirty minutes before arriving at the stream. It wasn’t that deep nor wide but it was enough.

They let out collective hisses informing him that they’d keep guard while outside. That he could go in with utmost assurance.

Titan naturally believed they’d try their best to protect him but he couldn’t rely on them. He shifted into his full beast form and let out collective hisses before sinking himself into the stream.

Right after he disappeared, hordes of snakes flocked the area creating a deep blanket of snakes around the water source. It wa a sight to behold if not for the dangerous snake species lying guards answering to their king’s call.
