Lyra opened her eyes staring back at a clear blue sky. She groaned as she got up from the ground, and glimpsed at her surroundings. Her brows furrowed together in confusion seeing the lush forest around her. She rembered sleeping in the rose castle in her room last night, but now she was in a completely different place.
As she was trying to comprehend her dilemma, a soft female voice spoke to her "You are finally here dear?"
Lyra whisked her neck towards the source of that voice "Who are you?" a confused question left her mouth making the other person chuckle "Your surprised face looks just like your father’s"
Following that statent, a beautiful female with flaming red hair and forest green eyes materialized into thin air in front of Lyra. The woman descended to the ground and soon transparent white wings with tiny red flowers spouted behind her back.
Lyra blinked her eyes in a daze seeing soone so gorgeous in front of her. srizing red hair blended with green eyes and a white silk-covered body which was stunning left Lyra in awe. Then her eyes widened seeing an adorable pair of wings behind the woman’s back. She was too baffled and continued to watch the woman without talking.
The fairy opposite her observed Lyra’s face and smiled gently "You are very beautiful dear"
Hearing the woman’s voice broke Lyra’s daze, she felt pleased to hear a complint from a beautiful woman. The fairy smiled broadly seeing Lyra’s reaction "You even act like your father, he would also get shy hearing my complints"
"You know my father?" Lyra asked frowning "But he is from another world...." then it flashed to her "Are you talking about the one from the beast world?"
"Theodore?" the fairy questioned Lyra back, then smiled bitterly "Indeed he is your father now"
Lyra didn’t know why, but she felt the fairy’s sadness talking about her father. she sounded unhappy ntioning Theodore as her father.
As Lyra was still lost in her thoughts, the fairy sighed and looked at Lyra "It is not yet ti for you to know about , so let finish my task before you wake up"
"What are you talking about?" Lyra asked not understanding the fairy’s words.
In return, the fairy just shook her head "You will get to know everything very soon" then her face turned serious "Right now hearing is more important to you Lyra, so please concentrate"
Even though still confused Lyra remained silent. The fairy in front of her, closed her eyes as she lifted her right hand towards the air and started chanting sothing. soon her hand started to glow with blue light, then she opened her eyes and called out for soone "Co forth Darya"
As soon as she said those words, the light flickered in her hand, and dewdrops from flowers nearby accumulated together forming a small water nymph. The water nymph nad Darya opened her small eyes and grinned at the fairy "Master you called for !?" her joyful voice had a hint of sadness to it, it was as though complaining about not being called for a long ti.
The fairy smiled at the water nymph and nodded her head "It’s indeed been very long, I was not in a position to summon you Darya" her voice slumped as she continued talking "The upper entities broke my spirit killing , thank God Adriel saved you at the right ti, or you would also end with "
"Master..." the water nymph choked up hearing the fairy’s sad words, "It was my fault, I was not powerful enough to save you from them"
"It is not your fault Darya" the fairy consoled as she caressed the nymph’s water body "I know that you tried your best and I never blad you for anything that happend to , so don’t question your capability. Facing upper entities is very hard and I know that"
Darya bent her head still sad "Bu-but, your child, I failed to save to her too"
"My daughter? she is alive Darya," the fairy said leaving the nymph perplexed "Look there" she pointed towards Lyra and said "She is my daughter, I want you to accept and protect her from now on" then she turned towards the water nymph "Do this for , Darya, only your powers can release Adriel from the gem. My baby has so many enemies, her father must get free for her to remain safe"
The water nymph stared at Lyra "I will not fail you this ti master, from now on, your daughter is my responsibility"
As they continued conversing, Lyra on another side just started at both of them blankly, not understanding any of their words. She was not able to discern the language they were speaking, so she called for them "Excuse ?"
The fairy and water nymph stopped talking hearing Lyra’s voice and turned to her. Lyra smiled awkwardly and opened her mouth "I can’t understand what you both are talking"
Darya looked between her master and Lyra "She doesn’t know fairy language?"
The fairy shook her head "Her powers are sealed, you have to help her in bringing out all of her fairy powers"
Darya nodded her head in agreent. The fairy smiled and glanced at Lyra "Dear, I cannot reveal all of the truth, but I can inform you this much, you are half fairy and a half..." she halted her words and swallowed a lump in her throat "I cannot say anymore, but please rember that you have powers, and Darya my familiar will from now on guide and protect you"
Lyra frowned upon hearing her words "Half fairy?" she asked in confusion. She knew that it was not optimal to ignore the fairy’s words, because many bizarre things already happened in her life making her almost numb to any more surprising things. Whenever she heard a secret revolving around her, her first reaction was confusion rather than doubt.
She sighed and looked at the fairy "I will believe you, but I want to know about the reason for your help in bringing out my powers" she narrowed her eyes as she continued "Who are you?"
"You can call Vanadey" the fairy answered
Lyra raised her brows "You know that is not what I asked, I want to know your relationship with , why are you making such a sad face speaking to ? You are forcibly smiling and putting up a brave front, why are you doing that?"
Vanadey’s smile fell hearing Lyra’s words, her resolution ca crumbling down in front of her daughter, still, she held back her tears and smiled brightly "You will know about when the ti is right, but baby..." her voice choked up as she continued "Always know that I love you and miss you" As soon as those words left her mouth, her body started to fade. She looked up to the sky and glared into nothingness "Why are you so cruel to ? Can’t I even talk to my baby?"
Darya burst into tears hearing her master’s words. Mother nature helped Vanadey in contacting her daughter but restricted her from telling the truth to Lyra, although cruel, mother nature was the only one who helped her master in this dire situation. Darya swore to always protect Lyra in the future for fulfilling her master’s final wish.
When Lyra saw Vanadey fading away, her legs moved towards her unconsciously. Her heart clenched with an unknown despair welling up inside her. She widened her eyes as Vanadey looked at Lyra and smiled sadly before completely disappearing.
