Beauty in the beast world Chapter 85: Elation

After having a heartfelt conversation with Demir, Lyra felt light-hearted. They both continued to embrace each other until they heard Noah’s voice.

"Baby dove?"

Lyra pulled out of Demir’s hold turning towards Noah "It is ti for us to et my parents"

She nodded her head and got up from the ground holding Noah’s hand "Let’s go"

Then she looked at Demir "Will you also co with us?"

Demir shook his head "You go ahead, I have to go to my father"

She nodded her head and strode towards the lion tribe’s bonfire with Noah.

The lion tribe’s bonfire was the largest one in the whole gathering, because of the stature of the lion tribe in the beast city, they were regarded highly by all other tribes, and this was also the sa for Lucas’s tribe the silver wolf tribe.

In the past, the beast city was just empty land surrounded by a vast wilderness. But five core tribes of the beast world decided to build a city that beca the largest gathering for the beastn in the coming future. The five core tribes that made it possible were the lion tribe, which was considered as the shield of the city’s defense, then it was a silver wolf tribe and the black wolf tribe which was called the fangs of the city. Thereafter ca the eagle tribe, the protectors of the sky. And at last, it was the fox tribe that was the intelligence of the city. All five of these tribes ca together to uphold the beast city. Hence these five tribes had higher positions compared to others.

Entering the lion tribe’s bonfire, Lyra gained many curious gazes directed towards her. Maybe they were curious about their beloved prince’s mate and the future queen of the lion tribe. But Lyra felt sowhat uncomfortable with their constant staring. Noah noticed her discomfort, so he pulled her towards him "They are just curious about their future queen"

"I guessed that much" Lyra answered as she continued walking towards Noah’s parents.

They both stooped their tracks as they stood in front of the lion king and queen. Noah smiled faintly at his parents, Whereas Lyra bowed her head in greeting "Your majesties"

Noah’s mother, the lion queen grinned seeing her son and daughter in law "You can skip those formalities child, Just call us father and mother" she said in a gentle tone "We are family after all"

Lyra smiled at the queen "Yes mother"

"We ca here to tell sothing important to you both" Noah said as he clasped Lyra’s hand in his palm.

"I’m going to be a father, she is pregnant," Noah said beaming at his parents’ shocked face.

Noah’s mother’s eyes widened, she looked between her son and Lyra "Oh my!"

Her loud voice bought Noah’s father out of his reverie, he looked at his son and smiled faintly "We are so happy for you son!" then he turned towards Lyra "You are a blessing in my son’s life child"

She smiled awkwardly at his words and the next mont soone hugged her tightly making her froze in her place "I’m so happy! Thank you so much dear!"

Noah chuckled looking at his mother’s happiness. He knew that his parents would be very happy after hearing the news "Let her go, mother, you are suffocating her" he said as realized Lyra’s unease.

The lion queen nodded her head and left Lyra "Sorry child, I was just so excited and couldn’t control my emotions"

Lyra shook her head "It’s fine mother, I don’t mind"

The queen bead at her and clasped her hands turning towards their tribesn "Your beloved prince will soon beco a father, rejoice everyone"

Following her words, there was a huge cheer from the lion beastn. So of them shifted into their beast form and roared expressing their elation.

The lion queen smiled and turned towards Lyra "Dear you have to be careful hereafter, make sure to eat and rest well" then she flicked her fingers "Why don’t you stay with us until your due date?"

Lyra frowned "I don’t think it will be possible mother, My other mates will not allow it"

"Is that so? I’m sorry for asking without thinking dear"

"Please don’t apologize for such things mother," Lyra said in a sad voice

The lion queen chuckled "I will not do it again, but please think about it, lion tribe’s pregnancy is a little complicated even for females from our tribe, so I was worried about your safety"

Lyra raised her brows in confusion "Complicated?"

The queen nodded her head "The duration of pregnancy is thirty-five to forty days, the number of cubs may vary depending on the females but the most tricky part is the process of labor, the cubs of the lion tribe have slightly bigger heads compared to other beastn’s offsprings, it will be very painful during that ti and many cubs die during labor because of that" then her eyes brimd with tears as she continued "I still rember that ti when Noah’s siblings died during my pregnancy. Noah being the eldest one survived because of early delivery"

The lion king rubbed his mate’s shoulder in consolation. Noah looked at his mother and caressed her hands "I will take good care of her mother, please don’t worry"

His mother nodded her head and wiped her tears "I know son, but still make sure to call when it is ti for her labor"

Noah agreed to his mother and left with Lyra. Walking towards their bonfire Lyra started the conversation "What happened to your siblings during birth?"

He looked at her and opened his mouth "My mother fainted after giving birth to because of pain, so she was unable to push them at the right ti which resulted in their suffocation. She always blad herself for their death but I think I’m the one responsible for that, I caused so much pain causing her to faint"

Lyra leaned against Noah’s arm "It is not your fault Noah, Please don’t bla yourself for sothing inevitable. I may be selfish, but I kind of feel relieved that you were the one to be born first, or I wouldn’t be able to et you"

Noah chuckled hearing her words "Now that you say it like that, I’m also glad for surviving. I’m thankful that I got to et you baby dove, I love you"

Lyra pulled away from him and pecked his lips "I love you too"
