As Killian entered the castle, he glimpsed at Lyra sitting on a stone chair with the little snakes.
His heart throbbed by just being in her presence, the mate’s pull was getting stronger and he just wanted to snatch her away from here.
Lyra lifted her head sensing their presence and eyed Blake in confusion. Blake understood her question and answered "This is Killian, one of my old acquaintances"
She glanced at Killian and smiled faintly "Nice to et you"
Killian’s pupils shook hearing her voice, and the next second he realized, he was already in front of her, his Auburn eyes peered into her blue eyes "I have been waiting for you, my treasure"
Lyra flinched hearing his words and peeked at Blake not understanding the situation. Blake sighed tiredly and glared at Killian "You are scaring her Killian"
Killian ignored his words and pulled Lyra towards him, hugging her. He nuzzled against the crook of her neck inhaling her fragrance "Mine, my mate"
Lyra froze in her place by the sudden hug. Her heart palpitated in his embrace, even she was surprised by her unexpected emotions, she felt complete, as though her soul finally found a place to embed.
Her trembling fingers made their way towards his back welcoming his hug without any restraint. Killian smiled at her actions, he knew what she was feeling. It was mate’s lure that was affecting both of them. After coming into contact with each other’s soulmates, it is difficult for them to separate from one another and if they are forced to separate then it may cause soul suffering, and usually, males die from it, and females will never find serenity after that.
They continued to hug each other discarding the other’s presence in the living room. Blake squinted his eyes and paced towards them, pulling each other away, then he glared at Killian "What do you think you are doing!?"
Lyra ca out of her trance and darted her tear-filled eyes between them "What happend...."? her voice trembled with turmoil. She held Blake’s shoulders "Did I do sothing wrong, Blake?"
Blake’s heart ached for her, he pulled her towards him and caressed her back "It is nothing Lilly, relax"
"N-no! I know that I did sothing wrong, why am I feeling like this?" her body trembled in Blake’s embrace, and tears flooded from her eyes.
Lyra was getting frustrated by this unknown sentint, even now, she wanted to get out of Blake’s embrace and reach the stranger she didn’t even know, she felt pathetic because of this, ’How could she feel like this towards Blake?’ she loves him!. But the only thing that her heart wanted was the stranger in front of her, his eyes were pulling her to him.
Killian realized her struggle because it was normal to feel like this towards one’s soulmate, but seeing her fight her own, feelings for him, made his heart clench. If only he had t her sooner than this.
Blake closed his eyes trying to calm his raging nerves. He foresaw this when Darcio ntioned that her sixth mate was Killian. Normally black panthers had their mates to themselves and the females also didn’t develop feelings for other males. He knew that his Lilly loved him, but seeing her attempting to suppress her feelings for Killian because of him made him both pleased and awful.
Lyra buried her face in Blake’s chest and mumbled "I’m sorry...."
"It’s fine Lilly, it is not your fault" Blake continued to coo her in his arms.
"Don’t lant on sothing that is not in your control, I understand you, Lilly" Blake’s soothing voice made her more guilty.
"Am I that repelling for you, love?" a painful voice brought Lyra out of her hex.
Killian peered at Lyra’s eyes "Why are you fighting so much for denying your emotions for ? It breaks my heart love"
Hearing his desperate voice, Lyra’s hold on Blake relaxed. She rushed towards Killian and hugged him "Forgive , I shouldn’t have done that"
Killian hugged her back and smirked at Blake and the other two males in the room.
Blake gritted his teeth and glared at him, then looked at his Lilly, his heart shattered when she left his side to rush towards Killian. He knew that it was inevitable for her but he still believed that her love for Killian was just because of the soul union they had.
Killian caressed her back and spoke, "Do you want to co with , my love?"
As soon as those words left Killian’s mouth Blake pulled them away and punched him on the face, his pupils shrank into vertical slits "Where do you think you are going to take her to!?"
Killian wiped the corner of his mouth which was bleeding and snickered at Blake "Don’t you realize that she wants more than you currently? Admit it and let her leave with "
"Never!" Blake shouted at him "You can never take her away from here" then his eyes darted towards Lyra "Lilly, say that you don’t wish to leave from here, Please I beg you"
Lyra’s anxious eyes darted between them, she stared at Killian "I don’t know what is happening to , but forgive because I can’t follow you" then she turned to Blake "I love you so much, Blake. Please believe "
Blake quivered in his place and reached her "You don’t have to plead like that, I will always believe you, Lilly"
Lyra nodded her head and stared at his face "Thank you"
Blake smiled faintly and turned to Killian "You got the answer you wanted right? Now get lost from here" he said and took Lyra to the second floor.
Killian watched as they disappeared from his sight. He clenched his fist trying to contain his irritation.
Victor observed him and opened his mouth "Do you believe my words now?"
Killian’s bloodshot eyes turned towards him "What should I do now? she left just like that. Am I a hindrance to her?" his eyes started to fill with tears as he continued "She is my soulmate, how can she throw away?"
He collapsed on the ground clutching his chest "My mate!" She is my mate!"
His heart-shattering voice filled the entire living room, making even Demir and Victor flabbergasted seeing the great lord of the north in such a dilemma.
Whereas on the second floor, Lyra’s tears fell uncontrollably leaving Blake agitated.
