Kyrell had a hard ti comprehending what was happening right now. The only thing he wanted was to see his love. To check on her. He wanted to make sure that she was alright after all the fiasco that occurred back in the Fox tribe. He wanted to be with her and couldn’t wait until he got to hug her and tell her how much he loved her.
However, as soon as Victor attacked him, Kyrell knew sothing was wrong. Sothing had gone wrong and he didn’t know what it was. Yes, Victor was hotheaded and impulsive but the forr had no reason to attack Kyrell or that was what he thought.
"Why are you doing this?" Kyrell asked as he tried to dodge Victor’s talons. The latter was in his Half beast form and kept on attacking him without giving him any ti.
The only thing Kyrell could do was make sure that he avoided the deadly attacks and kept calm. If he really does lose his composure then his bloodlust will rise which might lead to his mystic powers coming out even if didn’t an to. Kyrell didn’t want to hurt Victor in any case, at least not when he didn’t know what the hell was happening.
"You need to die, you bastard!" With all the exchange that was happening between the two beastn, these words from Victor caught Kyrell’s attention.
"What do you an by that.....? Victor, answer !"
Victor scoffed, "I will answer you nothing, you betrayer"
Kyrell frowned, "Betrayer? Is this about what happend in the Fox tribe? Victor, I can explain....." for so reason he stopped. He didn’t want to make excuses for his shortcomings but instead, he said sothing that made Victor fu, "What I did was indeed wrong, but I still love Lyra. Let et her one ti, and I will explain everything to her" He failed in protecting her and Kyrell would atone for it for the rest of his life if it ant he could stay with Lyra. Being away from her...that was the one thing he was not capable of doing.
Victor couldn’t believe what he just heard. For a mont, he stopped fighting Kyrell and looked at the latter. ’From when had he been this much of a scoundrel? Or was he always like this but we failed to recognize it? Did his shiny golden appearance blind them like it did to his sweet girl from seeing the truth?’ he had multiple thoughts like these swirl inside his mind but Lucas voiced it out.
"How shaless are you really?" Lucas looked at Kyrell like he had seen a stranger, "You know that you did wrong and still claim to love her?" Was this bastard saying that even though he has a mate, fucked another female....he still loved Ly?
Kaizer too felt stunned hearing the eagle King’s words. He had his doubts about the latter because a person can never be fully evil or good. Everyone has their own setbacks and good qualities so Kaizer didn’t want to judge Kyrell as he had not much interacted with the latter. However, Kyrell’s words right now felt wrong no matter how he tried to interpret them. From every perspective, what Kyrell just said sounded appalling. He was basically saying that although he took another female as his mate, he still wanted Lyra. That sounded bizarre to even him a rootless beast that could not mark the female he wanted. He could not even dare think about laying soone other than his bunny. That thought alone made his skin crawl.
Victor’s thread of patience had long snapped, "You....." he called pointing at Kyrell, "I want you to hear this clear and loud. My mate.....you will never see her again in your life, not until I’m alive" He could never ever let soone so vile like this near his mate.
"Victor!" Kyrell warned in a low tone. What that vulture said was crossing the line, "Look I respect you as a fellow beastman and as my lover’s mate but that’s it" he had enough of hearing this nonsense, "She is mine as much as she is yours and no one can stop from reaching her" his eyes turned bloodshot as he said the following words, "I just don’t understand, why are you guys doing this to ? Why are you not letting see her? Why just why?"
"You said it right there, Kyrell" This ti soone else answered instead of Victor and Lucas. Killian stepped out of his portal before staring down at Kyrell, "You were nothing but our mate’s lover. Easily replaceable, easy to get rid and trash like you deserves to get thrown out"
Kyrell clenched his fists, "Killian, those words take it back"
"And why should he do that?" Victor asked with a smirk, "There were no lies in what he spoke, you are nothing to our mate now"
"She hates you" Lucas completed Victor’s sentence, "She loathes you like we do" he wanted to sohow hurt Kyrell. Lucas was not sure if this would hurt the Eagle as he already had a mate of his own but still, he wanted to sohow tear the latter into pieces. Even if it ans through words that could hurt the Eagle King’s ego, "In fact, she would thank us for killing you"
Kyrell felt like the ground collapsed beneath him. He had difficulty breathing. ’She hates you’ These words pierced him deeper than anyone would have thought. He tried denying it many tis in his head but kept on failing. ’His Lyra could never hate him? But what if she did just as her mates said? He failed to protect her so it was not far-fetched that she could co to despise him but this was his Lyra! His lover! She would never do sothing like that...never.....never...if she did then what should he do?’
"I knew it" Kyrell’s inner turmoil ca to a stop when he heard a familiar feminine voice. Alice with her entourage in tow walked towards the Eagle King. She had a sad look on her face as she repeated, "I knew sothing like this would happen. Didn’t I already inform you of this?" She hid back her growing smirk before adding, "Your beloved female hates you....She absolutely loathes him doesn’t she?" Those last words were said looking at Lyra’s mates.
