Xavier didn’t even flinch at Michael’s shouting but his eyes started to gleam dangerously.
Michael fell to his knees and looked at Xavier with terror-filled eyes. He just realized his mistake.....that he should have never done.
"Ple-please..." He pleaded. Michael was scared about dying more than anything else. He could tolerate getting beaten down to his bones but not death. Death ans the end of everything. He wouldn’t be able to see his beloved anymore if he t his demise.
Amidst his pleading, a small figure dashed inside the room and kneeled in front of Xavier.
"Brother please....."
Michael looked up at the familiar voice and felt his heart swell.
"Go out from here Lexi," Xavier said while frowning. Females staying in ice-induced rooms can get dangerous for them. No matter what, Lexi always treated him with regard and he didn’t want this person to die.
Lexi shook her head stubbornly and looked up at him with tear-filled eyes, "Forgive him this once. I-i will ask him to follow your orders and I promise that he will never defy you ever again"
Michael struggled to crawl towards her. Then he hugged her to keep her warm, "I will be alright Lexi, Please leave from here" He didn’t know whether to feel happy or sad about this situation. His beloved was caring about him for the first ti in his life and this almost felt like a dream rather than a reality.
"You shut up!" She said glaring at him and Michael felt his lips tilt into a smile while gazing at her beautiful angry face.
Lexi’s eyes llowed looking at his battered face. Because of her, he went through so many difficulties but he never hated or blad her. For Lexi, he was just a nuisance who always followed around her but only now did she realize her true feelings for him. Lexi felt like she has really gone crazy.....she didn’t want to lose this annoying fellow from her life.
As those two got lost in each other’s eyes, Xavier felt his mouth twitch in annoyance. He sighed and quickly withdrew his powers and left that place.
"Ugh" Michael slumped to the ground but Lexi supported him by holding his shoulders.
"Are you alright?" Her worried voice made him smile even broader. anwhile, Lexi got worried that he would pull a muscle or two in his face. He was grinning that widely!
"I’m sorry Michael," she said making him surprised. Her voice trembled as she continued, "Because of you beca a stray beastman. I-i shouldn’t have done that to you"
It was cruel, very cruel of her to do that. To peel his mark off of her body like he was nothing. Michael felt devastated that day but he....."I’m incapable of hating you" Lexi looked at him in the eyes as he continued, "I can’t bring myself to hate you, so I...."
"So you killed other females" she completed his words. Lexi was not the one to reprimand him in this matter because even she tried to kill Lucas’ female in the past. Both of them were flawed and Lexi wanted to at least heal themselves and maybe find happiness with each other.
"Don’t do that from now on" she said while hugging him but Michael got troubled by her request. He was scared that he would hurt Lexi if he didn’t vent his anger on soone else.
"I get it, I get it," she said soothingly, "It might get hard but please for you should try to control yourself"
"I’ll try" he replied resolutely. This was the only thing she ever asked for him so by any ans he had to ascertain her belief in him.

Elena understood the aning of the saying ’World crumbling down to their feets’. It is because she was experiencing the sa right now.
She was exhilarated when she heard soone from the silver wolf tribe visiting their tribe. The first one to co to her mind was Lucas.....her Lucas. But she was shocked when she saw a guard from the silver wolf and a lion tribe instead of her man in the eting room.
To make it worst, they were here to inform her about the punishnt. Yes, a price to stay in the beast city was for her to accept the prince of the fox tribe as her mate. The guards didn’t even give them a second glance before telling them to leave the city if they opposed this penalty.
Elena glanced at her father with rage, "I’m not going to mate with him. He was banished out of the city for killing a female" her voice cracked as she added, "And they want to accept that cruel bastard?"
"Watch your words, Elena" she flinched because of her father’s harsh voice. He had never talked to her like this.
King Alexander looked at his rebellious daughter with disdain. He was always sour about his useless daughter. She was not able to gain favors from the prince of the silver wolf tribe and now she dared to talk back to him.
If only she had beco prince Lucas’ mate, then they wouldn’t have to be in this dilemma. The silver wolf tribe is powerful enough to get their people out of trouble.
"There is no choice for us right now. You have to beco mates with the prince of the fox tribe to remain in the city"
Elena clenched her fist and glared at her father, "Why should I be the one to pay for the mistake you committed!? It was father who unnecessarily attacked the snake tribe and pulled us into this situation"
King Alexander furrowed his brows, "You dare talk back to !?" His humiliation in losing the battle was etched in his mind. He accepted that it was impulsive of him to attack the snake tribe but it did not an for him to get rebuked by a useless female like her.
Prince Xavier is an immortal beast-man who is going to beco the king of the fox tribe. King Alexander was seeing the positives here. Tying themselves with the fox tribe could get advantageous in the long run but his stupid daughter was not able to see that because of her absurd love.
Prince Lucas already had a mate and Alexander didn’t know why his daughter was still hung on to the idea of being with him. It was impossible! And he wanted her to understand this truth before it is too late.
"You will accept prince Xavier as your mate and that is final," he said not at all leaving any room for discussion. Then he glanced at the guards near the door, "I want you to keep an eye on my daughter until she goes to the fox tribe. Let warn you that I will have your heads if sothing goes wrong"
Elena looked at the guards approaching her and shouted, "Father you can’t do this to !"
Her eyes were like that of soone crazy, "Lucas! Lucas! where are you? Please co and take from here!"
"She has lost her mind!" her father grumbled and glared at the guards, "Drag her and lock her up in her room"
