SCORPION CASTLE

Darcio was feeling restless. He paced around his chamber with anxiousness. Sothing was wrong, he could feel it. Soone was trying to ss with his master’s mind and he tried his best to deter it but that seed futile.

He still got chills rembering Demir’s enigmatic look once he returned to the scorpion tribe...

(Two days ago)

After eting Kyrell together with Killian, Demir returned to the scorpion castle and directly headed toward Darcio’s room.

The scorpion king caught sight of his son rushing towards Darcio’s room with a dark face, "Demir?" he tried calling but his son ignored him and strode past him.

His father frowned and decided to follow him. Demir being this angry was never good for anyone, sadly not even for himself. He was proud of his son for being so strong but sotis felt that it was a curse in disguise of a boon.

Soon Demir reached Darcio’s chamber and entered, "Darcio!?"

Darcio jolted and awoke at Demir’s booming voice. He stood up and shifted into his beastman form, "What’s wrong master?"

Demir’s eyes were feral, he clenched his fists and replied, "How do I get rid of them?" Darcio didn’t understand his words in the beginning but the next words from Demir shocked him, "I want to get rid of my sunshine’s other males. I don’t care how, but I just want to get rid of them from her life"

The scorpion king outside froze when he heard his son’s words.

anwhile, Darcio pursed his lips and said, "Why are you suddenly behaving like this master?" he frowned as he continued, "This is not like you"

Demir smirked, "You dare question ?"

"You need to calm down master," Darcio said as he started to manifest his powers in his palm. He already sensed the scorpion king’s presence outside his chambers and shouted at him, "Your majesty, strike your paralyzing venom on master!"

Demir was caught off guard as his father entered inside and paralyzed his movent. On another hand, Darcio used his powers to subdue Demir and forced him to enter slumber.

"You!" Demir glared at him as he tried his best to stay awake but ultimately failed and closed his eyes. Right after that, his body went on defense not allowing Darcio or his father near him. This was only possible for immortal beastman. Their body would not let anyone near them during slumber because it was when they were the most vulnerable.

His father sighed and glanced at Darcio, "What is happening to him?"

"Soone is trying to control his mind. I have never seen master in such a condition"

"Control?" The king frowned, "Why would soone do that?"

"I don’t know your majesty" Darcio replied with an aggravated face, "The power controlling him is too powerful for to detect. It is very pure but equally destructive"

"I don’t understand Darcio," the king said as he slumped on the nearby stone chair, "An immortal beastman getting controlled is dangerous. Demir can get too destructive if he loses himself and you too know that"

Darcio narrowed his eyes at Demir’s figure on the ground. He wanted to lay him down on the bed but he was not even able to get near Demir, "Sothing must have triggered his emotions, your majesty" he was able to discern that much after hearing Demir’s words about wanting to kill Lyra’s other males, "My lady’s presence might help more than anything now. You should bring master’s beloved to the scorpion tribe"

The King got up from his seat, "I’ll do that"

Darcio nodded and the king left his chambers to bring Lyra.

(Present)

Darcio thought that his master’s situation might improve with his beloved’s presence but everything went to the drain when he heard about the snake tribe battling the black wolf tribe.

Demir’s father sent his n to the rose castle to bring Lyra but they instead ca back with the news about the ongoing battle. In the anti, his son got up from his slumber and went out of the scorpion tribe.

They were restless not knowing the current location of Demir. Darcio tried his best to suppress the mind control but he didn’t know how long it would last.

"Where are you master?" he muttered to himself feeling worried, "Please don’t do sothing that you will regret later"

The power controlling Demir was not an ordinary one. It consisted of pure energy, "I have to find its opposite to fight against it" This was the only idea he ca up with after racking his brain for two days. He thought about asking for help from the new eagle king, but that was not possible as his power was light and it was also pure. What he needed now was Darkness that could rival the pure energy.

ROSE CASTLE

Lyra snapped opened her eyes and gasped for air as she sat up on the bed. Sweat beads covered her forehead and terror filled her eyes.

She had a nightmare but was not able to recall anything. It was sothing important and she could feel it but no matter how much she tried, nothing ca to her mind.

She sighed and got down from the bed and headed towards the rose garden. Lyra wanted to calm down her mind. As she was descending the stair, her legs slipped, "Ah!"

As she waited for the impact, strong arms supported her back from falling backward.

"Are you alright Lilly?" Blake was terrified when he saw her tumbling. He was just in ti and caught her.

Lyra was breathing heavily, she turned to him and nodded, "I’m fine..."

"You should be careful" he reprimanded her. Lyra smiled understanding his concern, "I’m really fine, Blake"

He sighed and lifted her from the ground and started climbing down the stairs, "I think you should shift your room to the ground floor. It is risky for you to climb up and down stairs during pregnancy"

"Alright," she said chuckling, "I’ll do as you say so stop sulking now" He was pouting with a displeased face, and that made him look so adorable. Lyra was not able to stop herself from kissing his cheek and that is what Killian saw as soon as he entered the castle.

Killian clenched his jaw when he saw Blake kissing her on the lips with a huge smile on his face.

Lyra giggled and hugged his neck. While Blake smiled and continued his walk but halted when he saw Killian blocking the entrance.

"Why did you stop?" she curiously asked turning her face towards the entrance.

A smile adorned her lips as soon as she saw Killian, "Did you just return?"

Killian glanced at her and nodded, "Where are you going?"

"I wanted to spend so ti in the rose garden" she replied.

"With Blake?" He quickly questioned and Blake answered it before her, "No, I was heading towards the snake tribe. I have so issues to look into"

Lyra frowned, "You are so busy nowadays"

Blake smiled, "I’ll return soon Lilly" then he looked at Killian, "You should go with Killian to the rose garden"

Killian raised his brows and took Lyra from Blake’s arms. After that, Blake left the castle and headed to the snake tribe.

"Let’s go" Lyra woke Killian from his thoughts, "What are you thinking so deeply about?"

"Nothing" he replied and walked to the rose garden.
