Gu ngng looked at Auretin in confusion. She wanted to say sothing, but she could not find the right words to express herself.
But as though he could understand the emotions in her eyes, Auretin replied directly, “In the past, I did not have any friends. After knowing you guys, I finally beca close to others. You and Elvis, Lea are all strong enough, so... this is my first ti losing a friend.”
Gu ngng patted Auretin’s shoulders and said, “Soone once told that not every farewell is an expected one, they would always bring you pain and take you by surprise. So... treasure the person before you. While he is still around, treat them as nicely as you can, so that when this ‘surprise’ cos, you would not be feeling regrets. You won’t be tortured by all the ‘what-ifs’ – ‘what if I had treated him nicer’, ‘what if I had listened to him more attentively’, ‘what if...’”

Besides Barete, Burke and Kanwu had all reached Saint Nazaire.
Gu ngng was not the least surprised. After all, Chixuan had already rushed to the Snake King valley right after winter ended, so it was impossible for Kanwu and Burke to not know that sothing had happened to Gu ngng.
