Lea stayed outside and adjusted the fire as and when required, so that he could prepare to cook.
When there was a steady breathing coming from the room, confirming that Gu ngng was asleep, he then kicked Cole and said, “Alright, stop pretending, ngng is asleep.”
Cole gradually opened his eyes with a smile on his face. He supported himself to sit up and said, “It’s not really pretending, I just woke up.”
Lea did not question him and only asked with a vague smile, “Can’t you be more creative? You had actually copied my thod of seeking forgiveness from that ti, aren’t you afraid that ngng could tell?”
Cole’s body was weak. Even though he was a Beast King, it would still cost half his life after not eating, drinking and being out in the cold for half a month.
With his voice hoarse and a little unreal, he said, “If you know a plausible shortcut, why take the longer way? Following a proven thod would ensure that I don’t fail, isn’t it?”
