The news conference was just for Snakel and Gu ngng to show their faces so that the reporters could take photos of them, whereas the remaining public relations matters were settled by the legal departnt and public relations departnt and Snakel did not have to do anything.
Inside the ceremony, there was a gathering of the so called upper class society.
Even though MonSir company was nothing to Snakel, but it was a company that was almost the level of a province. Not only were there many people in S City who had to depend on it for a living, even the other influential people from the province had business exchanges with them.
As such, they naturally had to be present to observe the situation that was like an earthquake to S City when it ca to such a drastic change like changing the CEO.
On the other hand, the previous CEO of MonSir company was too mysterious. After being in collaboration for so many years, many were already filled with curiosity about his identity.
It was as though soone was holding you by your throat, choosing whether you should live or die, but you had not even seen the person choking you so naturally anyone would be curious.
So when Snakel held Gu ngng’s hands and appeared in front of everyone, it caused a huge uproar.
Who would have imagined that the person who had conquered the entire field without giving them a chance to retaliate was actually a young lad around 20-year-old? And there was completely no sign of immaturity in his brutal thods in the business industry. He was obviously a wily old fox, a real piece of work!
Snakel did not care about what others thought and held Gu ngng’s hand to walk straight to food serving section. He choose a dessert and passed it to Gu ngng, saying, “Just eat whatever you want, why are you just looking?”
Gu ngng asked in confusion, “There are so many desserts here, how do you know what I like to eat? Can you read minds?”
Snakel laughed softly and stroked her head dotingly, saying, “I don’t know how to read minds, but I recognise your eyes when you like sothing... because you would occasionally look at like that.”
Gu ngng’s face flushed red and she lowered her head to chew her food.
Through the corner of her eyes, she saw soone trying to approach Snakel to talk but was stopped by the personal assistant behind Snakel. The personal assistant was n charge of all the social interactions and completely gave no one any chance to get close to Snakel.
Gu ngng felt that it was rude so she said softly, “I can eat the food here myself, you can go and socialise, don’t mind .”
“Socialise?” Snakel was a little surprised when he looked at Gu ngng. He turned back to look at those people who tried to approach him for a conversation but his eyes did not stay on them for long and quickly returned to Gu ngng’s face. He pinched her little face and said, “I am not here to socialise today, I am here to accompany you.”
“We are together everyday, why do you still have to specially accompany ?” Gu ngng muttered under her breath.
“It’s different today.” Snakel’s gaze deepened and said, “I have soone to introduce you to.”
Gu ngng swallowed the cake in her mouth and asked softly, “Who?”
“My parents.” Snakel answered casually but it caused Gu ngng to erupt in a series of cough.
The cake was stuck for a mont in her windpipe, causing her face to turn red from coughing it out.
Tears welled up in her eyes as she waved her hands to say, “I am going to the toilet.”
“Let go with you.” Snakel’s face was filled with worry and helplessness.
Gu ngng shook her head and waved her hands, saying, “I can go alone.”
After she said that, she fled without turning back.
Snakel thought to himself, Gu ngng must be nervous knowing that she was going to et her in-laws, so he did not insist and waved his hands. His personal assistant walked over and he told him in an unconcerned manner, while holding up a slice of cake, “This cake is not good.”
